Me too! I was going to get the 8 but I thought, if i'm going to have this phone for a while, I'm better of getting a design thats way more modern than the 6-7-8 design.
This is the best review of the iPhone X I've seen out of the many reviews on RU-vid. Personally, I love my iPhone X overall and I'm in love with the camera. I literally can't stop taking pictures with it and I'm taking pictures of everything.
The review content itself and the video quality are both amazing! I absolutely loved the 60 second review of specs while diving deeper into your perspective of this device. The podcast to go along with it is also great and like others have mentioned, you got me into podcasts as well. Keep up the good work!

You can actually turn off the auto HDR by going into setting > camera > flip auto HDR off and then you can turn it on and off in the camera app when you want it
Whoa, you shot this in the perfect ratio for the X and it fills the screen perfectly right to the notch. It’s the first video I’ve ever seen shot in this format. Absolutely perfect.

And your content is thorough and really does cover some aspects that sometimes are overlooked by other reviewers, seriously keep it up! 🙌🏼 Btw what is the ratio you recorded in? 👀 I like 21:9 on my phone by this is super comfortable on the X!
Your reviews are always worth watching. You have a unique style. Your reviews, cinematic as they are, still stand apart from increasingly common crop of other cinematic videos. There’s a certain je ne sais quoi about them.

I agree that the notch isn't a big deal. What I find way more annoying is the stupid black (or white) bar at the bottom of the screen. That is where I look when scrolling (like reading email/messages). It covers the message as it comes into view, which just blows. I don't even know why the bar is necessary. After a picosecond I know to swipe up from the bottom, I really don't need the visual aid. Also, for landscape only apps (often games), the bar is on the side. I often rotate the phone back to portrait but the bar doesn't move, you still need to swipe from the side and you have to swipe TWICE. Once to activate it and once to actually trigger the 'return to home' action. It totally sucks.
That was the best iPhone X review I have seen. It is very clear the work you put in. This is the kind of content that got MKBHD to where he is today and I can see you going that way too. The two shots I liked in particular was the shot of you inside the screen of the iPhone and the shot of the depth information from the portrait selfie!
The Shadow I know. But 18:9 aspect ratio has two benefits for my iPhone X: 1: The video fills most of the screen, so I do not need zoom and cut the notch. 2: When I want to zoom, it won't zoom as much as zooming on 16:9 aspect ratio, so it won't cut so much of the video.
Subscribed as soon as I watched that intro. Amazing, innovative content which breathes new life into the tech review community which can get a bit repetitive after some time. Great video!
Purpletomato 55 I’m really loving it, iOS 11 on iPhone X is so fast, the camera is really incredible, but not that much in low light, the OLED screen is so good. Face ID is really fast and works all the time. The notch doesn’t bother me at all. The design is so good, yeah the battery isn’t that good but it’s actually better than iPhone 7’s and almost lasts all day...
