where do i buy the mold... for the display. im looking for a new hobby and fixing phones is something im really interested in so if you can please help me out
If you don't use the touch ID feature ) and never set it up, do you need to switch out the home button? I'd rather avoid that step being as I never use that feature. (I have a iPhone 6S Plus model). Thanks and very detailed video. Phil NYC / Jersey Shore Area
If you don't care about touch ID then go ahead, personally I feel that a bracket and two screws isn't to much extra work to keep that function available if ever needed
mera bhi touch crack hua hai so mujhe bhi sirf touch change krna hai koi suggest kr skta hai mumbai koi jo proper touch change kre....if koi hai toh plzz let me knw tysm.
When I replace my whole screen with digitizer does an I phone x require a led /lcd or a OLED replacement my screen is cracked so I figure it easy just to replace the whole thing
OLED is the original display used in iPhone X, xs, and max models. LCD is just the old but reliable screen that third parties make. OLED dim each pixel or brighten, while LCD has a backlight that is always on unless, sleep or turned off.
David Blankenship i would prefer soft oled and yes better to replace the whole thing rather than fix the glass if you’re not super into fixing stuff and getting rid of adhesive
INSANITY ! WHY BUY HEAT PLATE, ALL THE TIME, DE SOLDERING !!! ALL THE RISK OF LCD DAMAGE, WHEN YOU CAN BUY SCREEN COMPLETE FOR ABOUT £45 ON EBAY, IT TAKES ABOUT A QUARTER OF THE TIME AND IS 10 TIMES EASIER
Makes it even better to see the mishaps that can come about when doing these repairs and how to successfully recover from it - this is a great share. Cheers! 🍻
I don't think Americans appreciate how fortunate they are to be able to drive to a store a few minutes away that basically sells whatever you need at 03:00 in the morning
Damn this looks like a very tedious job i think I’ll just replace the whole screen it’s easier, anyone know where they buy original iPhone XS screens that just have the glass cracked?
Wtf this is what i wanted!!! My iPhone X died 6 months ago because of water damage and today it booted up. And it turned out to be a touch digitizer problem. I wanna request.
Why does nobody show how to do this from step one? Like when the phone is still in one piece? I can’t even get my phone apart like we need a truly step by step tutorial.
Nobody: This dude: "I'm not going to show the soldering because this video is rubbing long" *shows drive to Walmart* great video though, that was impressive looks like ill have to buy a crappy LCD for my phone.
you have another laminating machine on the left, next to which you used in the video. have you tried laminate OLED with that machine? that machine can't laminate oled display?
@@javirizo6802 Yes man, used 8333 OCA Remover to clean the OCA leftover. Finished cleaning it up with isopropilic alcohol. Use it in small quantities as 8333 can easily damage the flex cables. I just applied a bit of 8333 and removed it with the fingers, soft and slowly and my display is still alive and ready to be laminated.
Great video! Im having issue where the touch works good just after removing the glass, but after removing the OCA the touch stops working (usually on the top part of the screen). Do you have any tips on how to avoid that or what I might be doing wrong in the process? Thanks
Hello. I experience the same problem. After Glass remove the touch is working OK. As soon as I remove complete OCA the upper halve of touchscrn not working anymore. I Tried start from bottom and removed OCA halfway, then tested OK , but as soon as remove complete OCA the upper part of touch won't work. Also tried starting from Top but no difference. Have you found solution?
