You're a total lifesaver. I've spent more than 20 hours over the past year and a half that my apple ID has been disabled - no joke- on with Apple support with no help whatsoever, had to go to store to get my original receipt which was a hassle, and you've solved the problem in this short video.

I think others have failed to mention this part lol 6:29 I haven't tried it yet but I've restored my phone like this and it still asks for the passcode and I have not a clue what it is because the previous passcodes I used weren't correct so I'll try that and hopefully it'll unlock. I didn't know you had to put in your apple ID

You should try this tutorial, chances are, you might've forgotten your password but didn't realize it. Or, it could be an iOS bug, in which you would still have to do this.

You don't need the computer if you didn't forget your password, just go to settings, then general, then reset, then press "Erase All Content And Settings," now, follow the on-screen instructions, and you should be good to go.
