I’m trying to choose between the google pixel 3 and the iPhone XR If I get the pixel, the sexy looks on the XR is lost and the Face ID. If I get the XR, the best camera is lost and the functionality. It’s so damn hard, give a like if I should get the XR

TheDoujinArtist as a Apple user I’d say get the pixel 3 it has way more advantages over the Xr including the display and camara also the accessibility. But if you already own Apple products like the Apple Watch ⌚️ or iMac or iPad then I’d say get the XR because it will be more convenient

Bro , don't get pixel 3 just because of the camera , I'm S9 user i gonna say flagship these days are equally great or slightly better , but yeah.... both phone camera are great , so u can go either one of them. Btw Pixel used to have best dxomark but now not anymore , Even iPhone XR rated higher than that , But as i said both phone camera are great as you cant choose one over another just for camera categories

The battery is no joke, if you put it on battery saving mode after charging, it could last for nearly 2 Days

Almost any phone nowadays will last 2 days or more on low power mode. Even around a week on super low power mode.

I'm just as confused as you! What I like the most about the XR is its bigger, better battery life, A12 processor and the price but the resolution is the one only thing that's making not sure if I'd get it or not! ☹️

I upgraded from a 6s to an XR. It’s a big difference but I am loving my new phone! It took me time to get used to the gestures and how big it was but after time I could use it with ease. The battery life is incredible! And the camera to me is awesome! If you’re thinking of getting a new phone , think about the XR.

You don't have to "press really really hard" on the lock screen. It's based on the length of time you touch the icon vs pressure. The latest 12.1.1 updated allows a little more use of haptic touch. You can now long press (it's actually pretty quick) message notifications on the lock screen to reply to messages from the lock screen.

@@Elchapa130 It didn't until just recently! Now it does. And you're right red_bearded_Dad, I don't know what he's talking about in terms of the haptic engine. You just have to press on it longer and it works like a charm. The only thing that's frustrating is that the cursor function that you get by holding down on the space bar in a keyboard, only works about half the time!!

I went and saw this phone in person myself and To be honest all of you people that bash the device just spend your $1000-1500 US on the Xs And Xs max The Xr is priced Decently the display is Not bad at all Its even better than the 8 plus screen So what if its an Lcd? I hate it when people say the XR has thick bezels, they are NOT compared to most other smartphones they are just fine especially if your coming from an older iPhone. If you have a X or XS then you may notice the bezels side by side.

@12:29 you dont have to push “really really hard” thats not how it works... its just a long “touch”. Its bugs me when people try to use haptic touch as 3d touch. 3d touch you “press” the screen yes but with haptic touch you just “touch” the camera/flashlight button longer to mimic 3d touch. You’re almost breaking the front glas easy LoL 😅 just my 2 cents... keep up the good work, liked 👍🏻 !

Marc Pierre to be honest in most cases I don’t notice a huge difference but that’s because I use my phone a lot for gaming(high graphics) but if I use it like a normal person it last a lot longer than my 7 plus. I haven’t been able to kill it in one day yet. 49% left daily

Well in my case - I chose the XR over the XS because I prefer LCD over OLED. My good old Sammy S7 showed burn in, and for someone like me who uses wallps for weeks or months, that would be a pain. A thousand dollar phone which has a screwed screen would be painful af 😂🤣😆. Bet my XR would run for like 5 years without any screen issues! 😉😉😉

I never had a iPhone. Iphones are so Expensive so I've been saving up for a long time I'm going to get the iPhone XR $640 in total in the US. I cannot wait to get it I'm so excited I'm an Android user but not anymore soon im going to be a Apple iphone user.

I’m totally blind, and the guy in the Apple store spent 20 minutes trying to convince me to pay the extra for the camera and display on the Xs max! Love the wireless charging in my folio case, the audio output from the speakers and the new gestures. For any other blind people, turn off “requires attention “, or Face ID won’t work!

I made it to the end! Very helpful video. I ordered the white XR yesterday after the price dropped. I’m trading in my 6S+, and I chose this one because I wanted a full screen display and better battery. Thank you for the good information; it’s very well done.

You can't directly compare PPI on OLED to LCD. If an OLED panel had a 328 PPI it would look terrible.

what do you make of this? - 346 Pixels per inch, Amoled, 1080 x 2244 px? I am really curious, I had only Apple products but I would like to give Huawei Mate 20X a try

@@saintgermain1716 because of pentile matrix oled displays have 19% lower resolution in comparison to lcd. Mate 20x has 280ppi after the conversion which is probably still ok

It doesn’t matter for this. You can see how sharper is the display on the X(S) anyway. And how slightly pixelated the screen looks on the XR.

I love the xr it’s nice to be able to have an “affordable” iPhone. I had the xs max and couldn’t justify the purchase due to sticker or cost shock mostly. Not missing a lot of the features that are missing between the two and the LCD screen is awesome for me. It’s not going to cost me a second mortgage on my house in order to replace the screen.

It bugs me so bad that Apple won’t give us the portrait mode on the standard camera in the XS. It’s just software and we are being sold short so they can try and sell more XR models

glen Adams I know but then it’s software based , nowhere accurate as a dual setup , and with the single setup it’s unable to shoot portrait of anything except human faces .

I don't think it's to sell more phones but rather they just adopted the system to work with a single camera but didn't change the existing dual camera portrait mode that was already in place. Let's face it no one is going to buy an XR for the wide angle portrait mode 😂

gurnihal brar it can be even more accurate, look at the Pixel phones, it’s all software based. It can shoot things other than people if they updated to do so. They have the tech for sure. Pixel is not the only one that can do it, Apple is just being lazy. (I own an XR by the way)

I just updated from my iPhone SE to the XR yesterday and I still have to learn the new Home-button-free gestures, but I really like it. The smaller iphone se is now used by my daughter and it is still an amazing phone in 2019. Too bad apple does not make small phones like it anymore.

Iphone XR at least does not have PWM (like the iPhone XS max with OLED screens - so you won't get sore eyes - had to return my XS max - be warned if you are getting sore eyes or headaches it is the modulation of the OLED screens - Apple has failed to test it properly on all users - and have raised it with them... (not that they were of any help..)

I had that issue as well. Bothered me horribly. Going back to LCD solved that. The OLED is gorgeous but that flicker can really mess with certain people.

great review. one thing, is that you CAN '3d touch' when in keyboard, to edit, hold the space bar. I'm in Canada, the r was wAY cheaper & its awesome, I got snowball white. I watched your entire review...

I have the XR in blue and it's good for me. Yeah it's not OLED but I was impressed with the LCD screen. Takes good photos and videos. If you're not picky about screens and you're just an average Joe using it, you'll love this phone.

Cool tip: most clear cases reflect and bend light in a way that makes it hide part of your bezels and make it look much smaller!

This phone is a good choice unless you’re a member of the “ppi patrol” as Flossy Carter would say. If you forget about the screen numbers, you would never even notice the lower res screen. I came from an iPhone X and it took me 2 days to forget about the oled. It’s worth it for the battery trade off.

After 3 years my XR is working fine. After updating to ios16 battery backup is improved. May be for next 3-4 years I don’t need to buy other phones. Thanks to apple for this phone.. ❤

GrvaityGamingJavari 1.0 I prefer Apple LCD displays. I had the S7 Edge with Quad HD OLED but I preferred my old iPad 4th generation LCD display over the OLED. The XR LCD is incredible.

I just got an iPhone XR and the phone is amazing. I came from the iPhone 7+ and I don’t regret my decision. Also, the battery life is absolutely amazing! My battery was at 67% when I first used it. Then 4 and a half hours later (with no charging) my battery is at 32%!

go for 11 if u want the A13 chip and an extra telephoto camera with new tech like night mode. Otherwise, nothing is significantly better than XR, even the battery is worse than XR in some tests

I just upgraded from the iPhone 8 Plus (loved it btw) some point of pros & cons of my iPhone history between the 2 : disliked the borders especially if you owned a white variant • never actually used 3D Touch (without thinking about it) •A12 is a better noticeable experience vs A11 •I didn’t see the point of the oled premium when apple is apparently overhauling the design in 2020.

I revived an XR for Christmas and it broke in the first 4 hours of me unboxing it. Lucky apple care exists and I was able to quickly explain my problem and get a new phone. It has been an amazing phone and I feel like this review is a bit harsh
