Saying that Android is bad or IOS/Iphones are bad is just sooo pathetic I mean both phones are reaaalllyyy good, if we only had Android we would say it's really good, if we only had Iphones we would say it's really good, the phone you have is the best, respect what you have!

Watched this on my white 128gb XR! And I too left the Pixel 2 for the XR and I don’t regret the switch at all! The Pixel 2 was smooth until it wasn’t, the XR is ALWAYS smooth. I agree that the LCD on the XR is a lot more legible than the OLED on the Pixel 2. I don’t mind the thickness of the XR cause it gives us the big battery that is giving me insane battery life! The XR is the perfect size phone.

People hate the Xr for the price, but they don’t compare it with the iPhone 8 that is way worse and it was priced at 700, so in terms we’re getting a bigger better display with updated specs for 750.

I'm a fan of Android and iOS equally, but I've been using Android for about 3 years now so I'm ready for something new. I'll be getting the XR in two weeks. 😄 And coming from a OnePlus 5T I know the size will not be an issue lol

In my experience, Android might be snappier at times... for 6 months at most, then it bogs down heavily. Apple is just better long term, and higher quality.

I just switched this month from Android to iOS and the thing I miss is the app drawer, notification feed and my personalized google feed from stock Android. Other than those features the iPhone XR has been a great phone even with the notch too.

I bought the iPhone XR in Red and I’ve been very happy with it since I’ve upgraded from my iPhone 7 big improvements for me 👍👍👍👍👍

I was Android user but after switching back to iOS after 10years, I still love iOS.

Apple needs a 4,7" phone. Like the 8 or 7. They had the perfect size for users who use it for work and not media.

iPhone 3G was the first white iPhone with a black screen/ front.

I left the Samsung s8 plus for the iPhone XR in black. So far so good. My first real smart phone was the iPhone 5 and I really liked it but wanted to see what android was like to I ended up going to a S5. Glad I’m back with IOS. Both android and IOS have their up and downs. You’ll never be 100 percent happy but I’ve been pretty close. My favorite thing about the XR is the battery life I’ll take battery life over screen resolution any day. It’s really impressive. Another note is Samsung ships their phones toned down on the resolution so the battery lasts longer. You need to go into settings to get it above 1080 p and the battery goes down fast. One last note I believe 90 percent of cellphone users couldn’t tell you what their screen resolution is. Or what it means. Great review keep up the good work. Edit: This guy knows his stuff! Just bought a red XR today, beautiful device. My first iPhone, first day impression... very impressed. Personally I really like the size and the weight but understand why people don’t like large and heavy phones but for me I prefer this.

I switched an android using coworker to iPhone by finding him a deal on a used iPhone 7. My ancient iPhone 5 was still in better condition than his Samsung a5 or whatever he was struggling to use. I talked him out of getting another cheap android and going for a used iPhone bc I’ve also gotten a used SE from the same place and it works fine after multiple years. He went through all the 7s and and found one with 100% battery health. About 300 bucks Canadian and they threw in a case. I don’t think he will switch back. If it dies in a few years he can get a used 11 for probably 5-600 based on how much they were selling the XS and XR for. I have an XR and I like it. My vision is not even great anyways so I doubt I would notice the difference between 1080 and somewhere between 1080 and 720 on such a small screen. I don’t care much about OLED either since I hate hate hate hate colour shift. I’m often not looking straight on the screen. And I don’t want the risk of burn in even on my mind at all. The battery on this thing is awesome. It goes forever lol.

I also prefer iPhone and iOS personally. I agree with all points you made. But you forgot about the iPhone 3GS - black front, white back!!!

Great review, I have a 128gb XR in black and really pleased with it. Agree with all your comments though I definitely don’t find it too big. For me it’s the perfect size. I don’t miss 3D touch, though I really wish Apple had not restricted the portrait mode to people only. Hopefully they will correct that with a software update. Enjoyed your vid 👍🏻

XR arguably the best iPhone in 2018. I had my XR for over a month and it performs really great. Battery and performance are the main features I’m loving this phone. I’m not regretting my decision not to buy the XS Max due to the $750 increase here in Australia. Display wise I have to admit that Note 9 is the best in the market right now and no other smartphones can match with that quality. Overall, it doesn’t matter if you are iOS or Android users, as long as it makes you happy.

Makes me happy to hear someone mention the symmetry. I switched from an OLED phone to the XR, and I thought I would be disappointed in the screen but it’s honestly great in my opinion. My OLED phone always eventually strained my eyes, but I’m all good with the XR LCD screen. It’s definitely the best LCD phone ever in my opinion. I actually really hope that Apple keeps offering an LCD model.

OLED has many more problems than just blue shift. There's also permanent burn-in and "Jelly motion" for elements moving on black backgrounds. My Apple Watch (original, "series 0") suffers from noticeable permanent burn-in, and my brand new Apple Watch Series 5 suffers from horrible jelly motion. Both issues are already frustrating enough on a smartwatch, but I'd be pulling my hair out if I had to deal with either of these problems on a smartphone I use every day. And I've already heard complaints from friends IRL of their iPhone X suffering from burn-in and iPhone XS/XSmax/Phone 11 Pro/ProMax units noticing the jelly-motion effect when looking at anything on a dark/black screen And even after all that, I still have a huge problem with OLED's pentile diamond array looking more pixelated when displaying any colors that don't utilize the green subpixel, and creating a checkerboard effect (most easily noticeable on the flat edges of the XS/XSmax/11Pro/11ProMax All these minor and major issues with OLED technology is why I had no hesitation in focusing my decision on the XR/11 over the XS/11Pro. The factor that led me to choose the XR over the 11 was the XR being $130 or so less than the 11 (and the 11's pastel-y yellow sucks compared to the XR's vibrant yellow)

I've always had the android till sunday when I got the XR. I'm getting used to not being able to open my phone or expand the memory, or use a regular iphone jack; so far, I like the phone, I should have gotten one sooner.

What I love about Xr compared to the X model is the aluminum sides. I still prefer the aluminum material rather than the steel one. It looks more classy for me. Thanks for the awesome vid :)

I loved iPhone since I touched the very first one. But over the years I got only Android so it kept being my dream tech ever since. However in my my heart I was always iOS person even with all the irks it had and still has but nobody's absolute perfection. So finally I found an iPhone worth my dime and slaving (well not that bad because it's kinda cheaper than Samsung I aimed at before). I'm so happy about my XR and I love it. It's 64gb and I've come to believe that is my absolute best average. Yes if I was more into stuff or had no computer I'd need 128gb version but for my humble usage I'm okay. I dunno why people hyped so much about the notch, I barely notice it. Only thing that I still haven't figured out is the iTunes and how to use it easier. I had to look up a video of how to download songs on my iphone from computer.

Hi. I’m from the UK. I’ve just watched this video which I enjoyed. I have an iPhone XS which I bought in May last year, although from some of the reviews I have seen of the XS I think I am one of the few people who are happy with it! The XR seems good too. The reasons I bought the XS instead of the XR were that certain specs were better such as the camera. I wanted a largish screen but not as large as the XR or XS Max. Also I decided to get a larger storage capacity than the XR has. It is the third iPhone I’ve had. I’ve also had a 5 and 3GS. Like you I prefer the black bezel with a non-black back. This was impossible with the 3GS and 5 so I bought a black/space grey back with those. My XS has allowed me to have a gold back with a black bezel. I also have a very cheap android phone (Vodafone Smart 4 Mini) which I use as a second/back up phone to the iPhone. That is now very outdated so I am thinking of getting another cheap back up phone. The main issue I have had with android phones is that there are so many different companies using them and I have always struggled to make a choice between them. There is a great deal of support for Apple products as so many people have them. I know more people with iPhones (and other Apple products) than with android phones. Keep the videos coming!, and keep safe and well.

Android user and I'm getting an iphone XR with Iwatch series 3 and my android phone a prepaid 2016 phone soooooooo slow

I had a xr for about a week before switching back to android, dont get me wrong I liked it but I preferred the comforts of android. Anyway I got a Samsung s9 plus instead and am planning on getting the note 10 plus. For my iPhone experience my thoughts are there nice just not worth the hype.

I have a MacBook Pro, iPad and I used to have an iPhone. Bought an S6 (big mistake) and an S8 because it was cheaper than the iPhone X. Having a phone with Google features, and not being able to connect to iCloud is a real disappointment. All my documents are saved in the cloud and I wish all my contacts were too. The XR is my next phone! Thanks for the review

I'm usually every other phone is andriod/iOS (Even though I like iOS more), I'm never sticking to either one for two devices in a row. I usually hold on to my iOS devices a little longer because I feel the are smoother over time than android. I recently got back to iphone from a galaxy s8 switching to the XR, and I really do like it. The only thing that I miss is the display from the s8, but battery life > display for me. Still like the display on the XR though. My usage is primarily reading newspapers and social media consumption so I'm not really a power user and never have been. EDIT: I was considering the Note 9, Pixel 3 and the XR. The XR are the cheapest of them here in Norway. The pixel 3 cost almost as much as the base iphone xs.

Owned nexus 6p before and now using iphone 8plus. I'm happy with iOS as it just works and I am tired of customization changing launchers and theme stuff. All I need is just opening it and using apps

Me too, im not regret for the switch, before i use the pixel 2 xl panda, i think pixel 2 xl the best phone i ever use, more better than ip 7 i use before, the camera, perfomance, sound. i dont know why, but i think i cant hold any longer for not use the iphone and now i choose the XR

I love my XR. It’s superfast it is equipped with the outstanding A12 ship, it has it all. Plus, it is $250 cheaper than the XS which has a smaller screen. With the XR , Apple has found the perfect formula. Hope they keep on doing similar products. I believe that the only downside is that it could’ve been a bit thinners.

This is like the best XR review I've ever seen, out of 20 to 30 reviews. And the only one mentions that small-handed users are probably already operating their phones with both hands lol

I might get this as my Samsung s7 edge screen is broke slightly. I will miss the screen and split screen function and expandable storage but looking forward to iMessage and facetime again :)

Thank you for acknowledging webos in this video. I loved it and both Apple and google implemented its multi tasking card feature into their os. I remember having the palm pre and being able to open and switch between 30-40 apps at once although it was very limited compared to iOS and Android at the time. It died out but still lives on feature wise

The iPhone will feel snappier if you turn off the iPhone animations (Settings>General>Accessibility>Reduce Motion). And agree, the XR is too big and heavy. Apple needs to make an SE sized device with the form factor of a X series (tiny bezels), with a headphone jack!

I always thought that OLED was just way better than LCD but LCD does have good sides

iPhone is not about a frankestein phone with millions of incosistent features, it's all about stability, consistency, safety and usability... Like note 9 that put's a heart sensor in the phone at the same time that Samsung also make Gear 3 watchs.... So if you are a fan of Samsung ecosystem you will have a heart rate sensor in phone and in the watch lol, This simple example is the exacly context that explain how fragmented and disoriented Android devices are.

I tried the XR for 2 weeks and definitely agree with you about the size and weight,it was just a little too big and a little too heavy,and I also need to use it with one hand. I ended up biting the bullet and purchased the XS and I don’t regret it one bit. It’s the best IPhone I’ve ever owned.

Coming from a Note 8 to an iPhone XS Max and I have to say that I really enjoy both, thinking about buying a One Plus 6t or a Pixel 3 along side the XS Max.

Until now I'm using 6+ and it's running 12.3 the update and service of Apple are unbelievable and it is still usable for 5-year-old Phone.

I’ve used both, I just prefer apple, not really any certain reason, just prefer iOS. Also, unpopular opinion: the notch looks pretty nice, it was popular enough that multiple other brands followed with their own notch. I also think people hate on the XR because Apple calls it budget while it still costs $750. It’s still a budget phone, the highest tier iPhone starts at over $1000, $750 is budget. It’s just a very high quality budget phone

Its just a kind of mad race going on for AMOLED display. XR does a perfectly fine job videos can be watched upto 1080p which looks awesome. Right size of device helps you reach every corner of screen easily. Nice colour options for device. Quick face recognition infact million times better than Galaxy lineup of Samsung. I’ll give 10/10 to XR

I just got an iPhone XR, i took advantage of te 150$ price drop that came with the 11's announcement. I come from a Note 9 and honestly I am loving the iPhone! and for 650$ bucks for the 128 GB model it doesn't seem as a bad deal at all.

I used iPhone for 10 years until last September when I made the switch to the Note 9 For more than half a year I truly loved it, split screen, stylus, free music and of course the insane ways to customize my phone making it truly mine. HOWEVER... in April I decided to try apple again and I didn’t realize JUST how smooth and buttery the iPhone truly is I also enjoy the ecosystem of Apple especially iMessage. I’m extremely happy with my XS Max even though at first glance the price wasn’t justified until I stop and consider just how much value I’m truly getting with my iPhone. Security and support. My phone will be relevant 4 years from now easily and coupled with a very respectable resale value I’m more than satisfied. I’ll always wish there were things Apple did differently or better but overall I know that I won’t get pigeonholed into HAVING to upgrade in a year or two... that’s my 2 cents. I don't really like the smartphone market in general. It's more fashion trends then innovation in tech. So I just stick with whatever samsung non flagship with expandable storage and headphone jack :)

Got a Huawei P20 back in december, switching from my old iPhone 6S after 3 years. Really happy about the upgrade, but recently i tried playing around with my iPhone again, and i instantly felt like i wanted to stay on the old iPhone. I honestly think I’ll be selling the Huawei and start saving up for the XR.. no big complaints about the Huawei though, the overall user experience is just so damn smooth on the iPhone compared to the Huawei, even with the iPhone being three years older

I left the google pixel 2 XL and honestly everything but the camera is better. I was using the pixel for a year and a few months. I was super nervous at first going back to IOS. I started with android first which was Samsung (it left a very bad taste in my mouth) then I went to a iPhone 6s+ to the google pixel 2 xl. Now everyone around me was either using the iPhone X or the Samsung S8(older family members) or newer I was able to experience those phones as well through helping them with things on their devices. But my Pixel really started messing up and just being a absolute glitch. The camera was the only thing keeping me holding onto the device. To me it just seemed all around me was android was just not right. Living in the US and not having access to other great android devices, it drove me back to IOS I went back to iPhone I’m using the red XR 64 GB version. I miss some of the pixels “gimmicks” the squeeze feature and the swipe to text. To me iMessage and FaceTime are good but also my pixel has google duo and the message+ app that is similar to iMessage but I still prefer messenger over anything. As you said the price was a big factor for me for 750 dollars compared to what else is on the market today. If anyone is on the fence about this phone and you are able to sacrifice a “great display” for a battery that does last me all day from about 9 am to about 8 pm I can normally put it on the charger around 25% and I am a very heavy user on my phone. (Social media, RU-vid, and music in the background) I really recommend this phone to anyone. As I said I’m using the red but when my upgrade comes I’ll be getting the yellow 128 version of the phone. This device to me seems like it could last a few years. I really do like this phone. For a quick recap and final thoughts I miss some features from android I could go back one day but for now I’m satisfied with iOS I just really got back into the ecosystem and am very comfortable with everything working together. I prefer some features on iOS though such as find my iPhone as someone who tends to misplace a lot of things it is a very helpful feature. I’m not a “isheep” or “fandroid” I like tech and sometimes I have to choose something consistent and convenient to me it is the iPhone XR.

Its the perfect phone. Perfect camera. Perfect size. Perfect system. No complaints.
