I saw your video on KP. IPL is said to target the red vessels in the skin and improves the redness typically associated with KP. Can you cover this in your next KP update? Thank you so much. Excellent content!

Thank you so much! I will try to document this process. I haven’t used the IPL on my areas with KP, just because I don’t really have much hair on the back of my arms, but I will try it. Maybe it will help the dark spots as well.

I don’t know if this is going to be much help at this point but you mentioned your arms were patchy and I noticed you going over your arms so quickly, that the machine didn’t have time to warm back up and produce a heat flash. So sometimes you were hitting the button and nothing was happening, and then continued on, which would create patches. Again, sorry if this info is unnecessary at this point lol 😅

Thanks i wish I saw your review before I started but I'm only on 2 weeks. One session on my upper lip and it hasn't come back, under arms 2 times but hasn't grown as much but working on my sideburns. I've had laser, electrolysis before but I also know hair has a tendency to come back. I will keep up the treatments and then see if they come back or not. The best timetable is about a month or so when all of your hair cycles are regrowing

@@Loa.Dreamer I love the price of this haha $59 vs over $200 for a set of laser treatments. I love the convenience as I don't have to make an appt, or have someone else do it and with covid it's sooo not necessary. The downsides is if it is somewhere you can't reach well, someone else doing it is always better.

Hey!! Love how informative your video is! Do you suggest using this on your bikini/ inner thigh area if you have hyperpigmentation around there?

Thank you hun! I use it on my bikini/inner thigh area & I have not seen any negative affects. It’s natural to have hyperpigmentation in that area because of shaving & friction, especially for us brown girls. When I was researching IPL, it said that IPL can help with hyperpigmentation, but I have not seen a decrease or increase of dark spots since using it. I haven’t had any problems so far, but if you don’t feel safe using it in that area, don’t do it.

Life of a Dreamer Girl!! The struggle with friction is real! But I also heard that IPL is good for it too! I’ve purchase my lux device now, so I’m hoping that it does make a difference. I also purchased the PFB chromabright cream and I’m hoping that combo will help combat my hyperpigmentation. Thanks again for the information 🙌🏾🙌🏾💗

Hello I want to buy this laser hair removal, I've been seeing the ads of this laser in instagram, but I have dark underarms, and my skin type is like yours, so I'm not sure if it will be working for me

Also, do you skip your KP maintenance treatment on the days you do IPL? Chemical exfoliants will make the skin more sensitive and susceptible to burns.

Exactly! I usually skip the KP process on IPL days just for that reason. I don’t want the lights to affect my skin with the chemicals on it. I’m not 100% sure that anything will even happen, but I’d rather be safe than sorry. Great question!

I have not seen or heard anything about a negative affect after using it for the 3 months. I think that the purpose is to kind of do touch up when necessary.

Yes! The spots went away. The 1 burn that came from the hot glass on my armpit, is taking longer to go away because it was a legit burn.

Do you shave in between your ipl treatments?

Yes, shaving is required for the IPL process because the root of the hair needs to still be attached. Any other form of hair removal, other than shaving, will remove the root from the follicle.

I just purchased mines today and i plan to use mines on my entire body too including my face! 😂❤️ but that’s going to be a little weird for me to use it on my face after i used it on my bikini area or before lol

Lol! 😂 I tend to start from my face and work my way down. Afterward, I wipe it down with a sanitizing wipe to clean it. If that helps.

You have to shave first, not wax. The way that the IPL works is that it basically damages the hair follicle, so that the hair doesn’t grow back. The IPL needs the hair as a guide down into the follicle, so the hair needs to be there. If you wax, the hair is removed from the follicle & you are basically just zapping your skin.

It’s not pain free. There is a little bite to it, especially the higher level that use. The bikini area is already a sensitive area, so it will hurt more there. It just depends on your pain tolerance.

Yes, it works on all hair. Depending on how thick the hair is, that will affect how long it will take to slow/stop growth.

I also suffered from chin hairs. Don’t worry. It can be lasered off. I had mine removed at the dermatologist. And I was given creams. The ipl should work on it also. I bought one for my under arms and legs. 🙃🙃😉 Be confident. Don’t let hair keep your personality down. All ladies have it. They also sale facial hair bleach at Walgreens for $7. Just be careful not to burn yourself. Scar removal at the dermatologist is not cheap, but not expensive. Like $100. Hope this helps!

I did my entire body! Lol! The bikini area is just like the armpit area for me. The hair is more coarse, but the skin is VERY sensitive, so it is taking a bit longer to see results. But I have seen a difference since starting the IPL.

Body freckles may be a little different than a mole or tattoo. I saw a very fair skinned woman with freckles all over her body using am IPL tool. She didn’t mention any adverse affects concerning her freckles. I’m not quite sure how that works, but you may still have that option.
