What I loved about this scene is that the flashbacks during the Dempsey role weren't Ippo's life but Sendo's. Shows how much the author appreciated every character in the show.
Whenever I see those flashbacks I like to think it's what Sendo pictures everytime he gets in the ring and when he's close to giving up he remembers those moments like promises. Promises he's made to himself over his lifetime. I always felt for him after those flashbacks. He'll always be number 1 in my heart☝😢

@@corrosivedipz7451 exactly, the moments might not be super intense but they're very personal for us. Only we know those moments where we were so close to giving up but held.
Is there any site where i can read Ippo manga? I am willing to start all over (I watched only anime first 3 seasons) and I can continue after that or read from the very beginning, no problem
Deyby Bedoya hey, deyby, read 1205 to 1220 on the Ippo subreddit because Mangastream, the main translators stopped translating it. But, the Ippo fans on the subreddit are posting those translated chapters and translating it on their own, so the current chapters are there.

The best part of this episode is seeing Takamura's face. For one of the first times in the series you get to see *true* respect from him. He know's Ippo worked his fucking ass off to get here. More so than any of the other boxers in the gym they're in. He's proud of the weakling he found and the powerful guy he's become. I love it. Best manga\anime ever.
man you should read the manga at this part! It's really good,.Takamura was thinking about how Ippo started boxing and if he was taking boxing seriously.
All that hard work had finally paid off and we got to experience all the upsband downs leading to this moment i think thats why it causes so much emotion.
This series has me more invested in the characters than any other. I mean even Sendo is one of my favorites. His thoughts about his life as Ippo is landing shot after shot makes me feel for him but I actually cheered when Ippo landed that combo for the win. After his loss to Date and seeing him come back from that got me emotional for real lol. Watching his journey go from shy bullied kid to Japanese champion. Seeing all his struggles and training made me so invested. This anime makes me want to workout everytime I watch it lol.
I believe if Hajime no ippo got another season or 2 it could replace one piece as the greatest anime of all time. Makes me sick to my stomach that there’s no season 4. Been hearing that there is no demand for it, anime community needs a fucking wake up call
It would be nice to keep some of the songs from the first season and some from season 2 but also make an even epic track for the series, LETS JUST HOPE FOR SEASON 4
Before going into the final round Ippo asked Kamogawa what it means to be strong. Sendo's flashbacks are all about the moments in his life when he wished to be stronger. They both want the same thing! Just for different reasons. Goddamn, that's great writing.
One of the best moments of the anime. Ippo tastes what it means to be strong. All his hardwork & training to achieve one of his goals. To be Japan's Best Featherweight Boxer. I want Ippo to go to the world (again after his return) and go for that world title to really understand the meaning of strength
One thing about this scene that doesn't get enough mention is the look by Takamura at 2:48. That look of pride as if to say, "Welcome to the club kid."
The absolute head-to-toe goosebumps produced by the music and the punches sound when Ippo destroys Sendo's guard with that uppercut will forever be legendary!
CrazyDJ97 SPOILERS i'm predicting that Alfredo Gonzales will finally beat Ricardo Martinez, becoming world champ. Sendo, who just moved to Mexico, will fight Alf and lose, probably ending his career. Ippo will then want to beat Alf for Sendo's sake and win. After that, Ippo and Miyata finally fight at the world stage, ending in a draw? Ippo's career then ends.
Ippo is such an amazing character, he's the kind of champion the world needs: humble, graceful, loyal, clean and true to his core. Hajime no Ippo is one of my favourite series ever, perhaps my very favourite!! George Morikawa is a freaking genius and hope he gets his work finished sometime within the next 5-10 years. I only got into the series back in 2021, yet it's been truly incredible!
I cried when Ippo won the belt. That scene when he realises what just happened and he celebrates by throwing his fists in the air really hit home for me 😂
I finally finished this show earlier this week. I didnt think they would let ippo win. When he hit that last dodge i jumed out my seat. And when he got the belt and cheered, i actually bad to let some tears go. Fantastic anime
watching this clip makes me tear up. darn it! this is just anime but you feel the joy and happiness from Ippo., they both gave everything for this fight and it was totally epic!
