as an irish man i hate hearing of soldiers being killed, these lads are someones son ,but the truth is armagh should of been handed back to the republic decades ago, its a catholic majority area who doesnt recognise the british authorities... all these deaths could of been prevented , stupid politicians making bad decisions!!
Denis Donaldson was a British spy , Freddie Scappacci of the ira Internal Security Unit was a spy , and these are the known spies , agents . The British had the ira infiltrated up to their wrist...
+monkeyman80100 Of course when the Brits kill there are public enquiries costing millions - double standards as always."All these deaths could have been prevented" if the British army adopted the tactics of the Israeli army and hammered the entire Catholic population.
Could not agree more, de escalate the troops, let Northern Ireland run itself more? , British Citizen hear I am far more concerned about the welfare of the Northern Irish people than the silly Politicians.
serious question - watched it twice but didn't quite follow the statement of the mother talking to press outside the courtroom. Was she making a plea to the unionist paramilitaries to deliver justice beyond the maximum sentence imposed (via Good Friday accords) or was she making a plea that all paramilitaries give up their weapons?
No what she was saying was that those responsible for her sons death shouldn't be allowed to walk free but that the paramilitaries should give an effort towards decommissioning of weapons... she was advocating for peace not asking for the Loyalists to seek revenge for her sons death...
I held the only Barrett .50 in the Province At Ballykinler in the early 90s the 4 bods who appeared with it were of the silent but deadly types and were very accommodating to a young Sapper not minding his own business 😉. It was in the boot of a Ford Cortina with a box full of ammo. The magazine was crazy big by comparison to the piece of shit I had at the time. We were up there working on the Fire Suppression System for the new Borucki Sangar in Crossmaglen. Interesting times right enough.
This is what a lot of people don't understand. To Republicans the Irish Republic that was proclaimed in 1916 & declared in 1919 has already been established, they don't care what any line on a map says. That's why any army entering any part of the island is considered an army of occupation.
Powerfully weapon, an american soldier once told me the shear velocity of it didn't even need to hit u, just a near miss beside your arm would be enough to take limbs off! Crazy gun
It was send over on the queen elisebeth boat with hundreds more.. I cant stress how stupid unionists would be with an irish american president if they start another war
@@nollogs2 Irish American noraid pretty much funded the pira arsenal, read in a book it cost one million a year to fund mostly from Irish america, but Gaddafi was a game changer

@Straight White British Protestant when did the gutless brit army last fight a war, on their own, against a comparable sized force, without the US to hold their hands? 350,000 die in Iraq so you can keep your US bodyguards sweet, yet when Russia commits "an act of war on british soil" (unlike the Iraqis) the 'response' was "Russia should just shut up and go away". Ireland, the falklands, where next with your big brave army? The Faroes?
as part of the British dis information operation it was put out that the sniper was in fact a ex-US Marine. It was thought that the PIRA should not be given the propaganda of having such a shot in their ranks.
a shot from a couple of hundred meters with a barret rifle , any one could do then drive back over the border and hide. a good shot could be 2 miles away . what a wanker
Ireland is well known for having accurate snipers.. if you think an irish person couldnt take that shop as any american sniper in 2019 to 2021 they will tell you the irish rangers snipers are the best in the world
@shep8851 you looked wrong because im afraid i live in ulster & it was liberated many years ago...you see theres 9 counties in ulster only 6 are currently still occupied... but hopefuly not for much longer or else the video you see above will happen again & again & again till it is free
@MrMickroach You do realise that the Good Friday Agreement was negotiated by Unionists, Loyalists, Nationalists and Republicans? It was in fact a referendum voted for by the people of Ireland. In Northern Ireland 71% of voters were in favour of the agreement, including it's policies regarding citizenship. Hence it was the will of the people, regardless of political views, which determined the result. Are you ashamed of the Northern Irish people?
The peace process was avsolutely driven by Irish Nationists, thats a fact. Yes i the end everyone cane to the table. British Unionists communities voted against the peace agreement more than for it, even today many reject it.
@oranbhoy67 That's a good reply, but last time i looked Ulster/ Northern Ireland is British, just a small point if you're republican how come your tag looks so much like orange?
Stewart Herd Occupied by the British Mr . Herd, you have no moral rights to the area. You have made a bollocks of everything you have touched in the last 700 years. The island of Britain is England, Scotland and Wales and nowhere else.

It was an RUC arrest...5000 members of security forces were in the area for months trying to get the 2 sniper teams. They got 1 but let the police stroll in to make the arrest to show it was nt a military only zone.20 odd years on and the police still don't go there.

@MrMickroach Yet they supported the Good Friday Agreement, an agreement which in your words "garnered the deaths of over 4000 people". Clearly you don't speak on behalf of the Northern Irish people. The fact that you don't even live here perhaps contributes to that fact. Garnered the deaths of 4000 people? I've explained this to you before - the Loyalist campaign of violence begain in 1966, three years prior to that of the IRA.
I understand how frustrating it must be that no one calls themselves British American. You really need to get over your jealousy though Jim, its consuming your whole life. Your obsession with Irish Americans is a little creepy...
Most Americans will call themselves anything if they think it will in any way benefit themselves. Not many yanks claim to be Welsh American, there's a few in Patagonia, but yeah it's not cool to be a taffy. Which is why I'm very proud to be one!
Steve Perry I hope you are proud of yourself , the recent conflict in Ireland was not about keeping score on who killed who. All human life is sacred and thankfully we in Ireland can build on the peace that’s here, so no more people lose their lives. I certainly don’t want a ireland for my children that I grew up in. Maybe you should think long and hard before you make the comments you do.
Probably the same way the IRA screamed murder every time the SAS double tapped every one of their volunteers that got snuffed out. You don’t like it up yous!
@Sir John Bull Slab kicked one of your toy solider down his yard and disarmed him 😆 ! You stopped ( FA ) as most of dangerous ones were never known . You couldn't move most of the time by road and spent most of your time in your basements shiting yourselfs waiting for the roof to come in on top ye as you well know.
@Sir John Bull Of course you enjoy your time in Ireland shooting and terrorising the local population , That's what the British state is known for all over the world.
@MrMickroach Didn't realise you copied and pasted your own comments, Mick. Well, I guess it's not suprising. You simply recycle the same rhetoric over and over again...
@TheBhoyJoe Over Half of the population of N/Ireland might argue that fact with you lol, Depends how you look at it,one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter I suppose, but still no excuse for being cowards these brave IRA men shot that poor lad in the back,,a decade earlier and I dont think these squotes would of made it to prison, luck of the devil

COWARD HIDE BY THE BORDER THEN RUN NOT PREPARED TO FIGHT KNOWS SECURITY FORCES STAND BY THE YLLOW CARD . COULD HAVE GOT RID OF THE IRA IN DAYS IF HANDS WERE NOT TIED BEHIND THEIR BACKS. ALL DONE FOR MONEY IN THEIR POCKETS.
@nova hardly a "maintaining" peace keeping force when they shot 13 innocent people in Derry marching for civil rights in a supremist state....the catalyst for the recent conflict...the north was a tinder box since the treaty

So 1 comment 1 question. Nobody that I knew in England wanted any soldiers in Ireland. The only reason we could get was that the IRA would kill every Catholic or Protestant whatever so the army was called in to protect them. My family hated England being in Ireland. What’s surprising is that all the weapons available to IRA. Where did they come from & who paid for them. Ok last ??? The English must have know how the weapons got into Ireland and did nothing. Politics??????? Anyway I am English and feel so sorry and sad for all the innocent people that got killed or maimed for life. So sad.
zeus 5029 mainly from supporters in the U.S.A they were also supplied by Col. Gaddafi, robbing RUC barracks and a couple of other gun smuggling routes. As to the “English did nothing about the weapons” they can’t Ireland is a sovereign nation. England has no right to make criminal prosecutions within the Republic of Ireland. The Gardaí found some of the caches but not a super substantial amount. The Army was originally deployed to “protect the catholic minority” but the people saw it as an occupation and when internment started in ‘71 and the Ballymurphy and Bloody Sunday massacres happened it handed the IRA a great recruiting tool.
Obviously Cahill did a lot of gun running prior to old Gadaffi ( rest his soul) but he really changed the game. Which is why we need Gadaffi MK2, Assad? Kim Jong Un? The ayatollah? That nut job in Belarus? Plenty of candidates out there, just needs the conduit to make the connections, lol 😜
