That was a huge gamble by the #2 - like you say, that door was always closing and he wasn't next to you before the turn-in for the corner so hopefully he understands he was taking too much of a risk
What a great start Dave. You did well to fight back up to the front after dropping back. That number 2 car was never fully alongside you even when you came together which was just about the same time as the spotter call. I wouldn't have gone for that move myself as the gap was always going to close and it was a huge risk.
