Ran about 58.3-6 all day on the default setup, felt like I kept half spinning cause of the downshifts. So I copied your setup, which already makes it a ton easier to control midcorner, but also the normal gearing gained me a lot of time simply because it feels a lot smoother. Went to a 57.776 because of you! Thank you. PS; The longer gearing explains a lot why some people were so darn quick on the backstraight. Hope it will help me overtake too since I'm not the greatest at quali since I for some reason can't have the proper outright pace
Thanks for this. Going to give it a shot tonight. Getting solid 1:00 on fixed setup when I realized I was doing the D Open series. Last turn on this track is fun and where I can usually overtake. More gains to be had elsewhere in the circuit for sure.
The best time was 58.362, I adjusted to this setup and did 58.328. I already felt a significant difference in time, considering that achieving 58.362 required a very clean and well-executed lap. I set the new time on the second lap with the tires not even that hot yet. I'll test more and try to beat around 57.9. Thank you for sharing the setup! @edit 57.992 now!
I am more partial to standard gearing and I won't be surprised if by the end of the week I am running tall for this. This track is amazing. I love it here. I hope to be able to do many, many races this week!
@@helmetculture I have very limited use of my left hand, so the stability the standard or even tall gears give me are more valuable than the acceleration the short stack for me.
You are definitely not the first to have trouble. Try raising the ride height. Then adjust each corner camber and toe press apply, once all 4 corners are correct lower the ride height back down
