The air defense systems purposely let through certain projectiles which it calculates would not hit a valuable asset. Hence the ones which hit the airbase just hit empty soil. They do this inorder to save ammunition. The Iron Done has been excellent to let them through as it had made a perfect calculation on the lethality of the projectiles trajectory. Just imagine firing more than 300 projectiles which included ballistic missiles and cruise missiles and not being able to hit one valuable target?

GPS navigation would fail far worse than the missiles Iran used. GPS can be easily jammed, and currently the entire Israel is being jammed. soon you are going to see self guided anti tracking missiles and super sonic hyper missiles that are too fast to be intercepted. also Iran did not use their best missles and were just testing the system specialy built to beat the Iron dome, where one missile self explodes in to multi parts so the Iron dome system is fooled in to firing multiple salvos of its rockets towards each of the exploded parts. this will drain the batteries from ammo while the second wave has the actual war heads.

Let's say that Israel is right and they intersepted 99% of all missiles and planes sent. First let's understand the purpose behind the response .Iran sent those missiles in response to Israeli attack on Iranian embassy in Syria . And it is known that any attack on embassies represents an attack on the country itself. So here there are 2 scenarios .1st : Iran will not respond , they will give a report and sue israel( this is a green light for Israel to make more attacks in future ) 2nd one : to respond in a way to show their military capabilities ( Cyber , Rockets , Drones planes ext.) Any country would have chose the second scenario .Lets ask a question, what did iran do different, and how did they respond ? Iranias as i mentioned wanted to send a message ,that they're capable of reaching Israel . They took their decision together and didn't have any problem taking the agreement (simply those people are very good at taking a united desision , unlike israel , whose leaders agreed to disagree on everything) Its clever from Iran for what they did ! They made a plan , got prepared fast , they informed everyone about the launch 🚀 , the media fired up everywhere as if it's the ensuing of Israel . more than 8 countries helped israel take down those missiles and planes , they spent a lot of money on defending , adding up the money spent by all the other countries helping Israel. Iran informed regional countries 72 hours in advance about its strike. Again announced 5 hours before the strikes. Israel got all support from its allies and Arab countries. Iran didn't use any advanced weapons in their arsenal, yet several ballistic missiles fired hit their targets precisely. Imagine Israel's condition if they had launched a surprise attack.
They only stopped the decoy heads that were meant to delude the iron dom, 5 rockets made it to the F35 military base. They thought iran was building nuclear bombs but they were focusing on creating unstoppable rockets and they didn't even use the hypersonic ones

This is only partly true. Missiles can rely on external radar stations for guidance. Also Iran uses GLANAS and China's GPS equivalents too. The missiles can use all these systems for navigation.

first of all, it was definitely more than 2. There are videos showing at least 4-5 hitting one of the bases. that is only one of the targets. second, majority of those ~300 meant to distract the air defence. i am not commenting on how successful or unsuccessful that attack was. But landing a few missiles in literally the most protected zone on the planet that is specialized against Iranian ballistic missiles is not a pure failure as the western media is trying to label it. putting aside the 72 hours heads up they were given to prepare. the success of this mission is measured by asking a different question, how many of the ones that were supposed to land actually landed? hope that makes sense to you.

ALL kinds of possibilities. Inertial guidance has existed for almost 80 years. Radio/Homing could be used. Fire toward a known radio signal, which it homes in on. or just plain Ballistic shot. A few computations concerning distance, speed of rocket, length of motor burn, providing time of flight (remember the earth rotates), so time of flight affects where the impact point will be. There can even be a combination, all of tech which is simple and easy to produce.
Fact: Iran uses Galileo guidance system (alternative to gps) + inertial system . And no you can't hit ballistics missiles so easy because they fly close to hypersonic speed and re-entry point is so small it's hard to detect and hit in less the a minute and this without counting all the decoys and drones 100s of th3m in the sky.

I am an Iranian expert in guidance. 1 -iranian military systems use both glonas and gps guidance systems as well as gyroscopic system. 2-how much people want to say Israel had the missiles intercepted the videos of them hitting the same spot will show the truth. 3- iranian military systems use a system of three layers first commercial grade positioning gps and glonass installed in drones ,second gyroscopic positioning,third killer hunter which means the listen to radars signal to find the missile from air defense then the homing system will lock to the radar and hunts that. We dont want to kill people we want to help the oprressed so if Israel had its air defenses systems neutralized the Palestinians can hit them with their rockets. To the people of occupied Palestine, if you see the Palestinian air attack lighter and more accurate this was the reason.
The US military, based in Irak, intercepted the attack before they reached Israel. Without that Israël couldn't defend itself from all those missiles. If it were to happen again, Iran shouldn't give a warning beforehand.
