Similarities between Somali language and Iraqw language. Both are coming from Cushitic group for those who do not know the Iraqw tribe comes from Arusha and Manyara region,Iraqw language is unique in the fact that it has extra sounds that other Bantu languages do not have. When you listen to the language you may think it is Arabic Somali or Eritrian. Whenever an Iraqw speaks the language draws attention of other people who do not understand it.Since it is not a Bantu language it Seen as very difficult language to learn,which is very much true,however the beauty of Iraqw language is that it makes learning other languages very easy to learn since the language itself is Rich for many sounds that can not be found in Swahili or other Bantu languages. Iraqw language is so much similar to somali, For example for Eye-we say Ila or il in Somali Mouth is Afa or Af in Somali Mother is Ayii or Ayo Oyo and in Somali. Grand mother is Ama while Somali call ayeyo Father is Aba, Tata or caboo in while in Iraqw we write A/bo which is similar to Cabo father in Somali In Iraqw this means young girl who just got married We write / for sound c in Somali you can call this sound of the throat .Iraqw and Somali actually have similar sounds and Alfabets. Ari is Goat in Somali and iraqw language as well. A/no which is written cano in Somali means milk in Gorwa means the same if you say A/no in Iraqw you will be understood although we call it Ulwa One begins by introducing them selves by saying Aning a ......and in Somali language one says Aniga .... This gives me a reason to learn other Iraqw related languages such as Somali itself ,And Eritrian and possibly Amharic. Iraqw language is the secret to my ability to learn other languages such as French and Russian among others because of wide variety of sounds Such as x (kh) you can call it palate sound ,and rules that one needs to apply when learning Iraqw language. And finally Iraqw language has both Feminine and musculine words when speaking a speaker has to be careful to differentiate a word either a Feminine or musculine and this will show if you are a fluent Iraqw speaker with a good gramer..Today I use the same rule in Learning French and Russian since they also have femine and musculine words...

@-AwaleAbdi-
@-AwaleAbdi- 5 лет назад
It's a Cushitic language. Arabic is Semitic. Both Semitic and Cushitic are sub-branches of the Afro-Asiatic language family. Meaning Arabic and this language share an ancient ancestor. VERY ancient but yes. That's why you hear similarities in how they sound.

@hassanabdikarimmohamed2505
@hassanabdikarimmohamed2505 2 года назад
The child will be a jareer, since the father is jareer ..in Cushite culture, ethnicity is strictly based on the father only.,..we don't recognise half this half that, mixed this mixed that, nope, you are simply whatever your father is, and in your case, your kid will be jareer (bantu)

@@geoffreysoloshija1909 I was a bit harsh my bad bro, ill answer you honestly Your child under Xeer law which all Somalis follow, will not be considered Somali because in our culture the lineage and ethnicity is inherited only paternally, from father to son However, on a societal level, we will still welcome and accept that child as being half Somali, and especially the clan of your wife, will be more willing to embrace your child because it is a baby whose mother is from their Somali clan Most Cushite people are not as strict as Somalis in terms of saying ethnicity has to be based on the father only If your wife is a cushite who isn't somali, chances are her child will be 100 percent accepted by her Cushite people as a half caste bantu cushite kid
