It's not that long ago that NZ used to beat Ireland at the death in games. Now we are beating fantastic world champions at the death. We have come a long way. Congrats and respect to all involved with Irish rugby. Proud to be Irish.

A feature of those NZ teams was that they never gave up! They stole many games from the Boks at the death to because they never stopped. That is now a feature of this Irish team!

As South Africans we got a taste of how the French, English and Kiwis must have felt in the world losing to us by one point. The wheel had to turn on us. Well done to Ireland for a well deserved win. 1-1 is a fair result between the number one and two teams in the world. Looking at the results between the top four teams in the world cup and since the world cup, the margins between the top four in the world are closer than ever. There were one score games in the world cup and one score games between NZ and England and one score games between SA and Ireland. Good for rugby. Closer than ever before.

A bit harsh. He's on the field and from his perspective he would have genuinely felt there was obstruction. It's easy to sit and watch a camera slow mo played back and start judging. If you know PSDT and his background, he is the last player on this planet would would condone cheating or dirty play. Fair play to Ireland on the win 👍
As an ireland fan it was awesome to have us go to South Africa and compete with the world champions. The boks were way better than us in the first test and should have won by more, pity we were so poor in the first half. The second test was great but honestly for me that referee almost ruined the match with poor decisions, i have always had reservations about him officiating at this level.

There's not much between SA, Ireland at all. NZ, probably France still and England too. Theres a bit of a drop off after that, but Scotland and Argentina on their day coukd trouble any of them. Wales and Australia though... You hate to see it...
Hats off to Ireland for winning a close one, the Springboks kicking game in the first half let them down. What pisses me off: 1) the referees continue to allow Ireland to disrupt your ball at ruck time, Porter should have seen yellow for repeated offences at ruck, in the second half when we were close to scoring and he stopped our ball. 2) They deliberately targeted Marx's bad leg with a crock roll and no red card. Disgusting attempt at a career ending tackle
