@@Pooler29 well that makes it a good fight lol. I appreciate the fact our boys could have that effect on you when playing against a team who always bloody wins lol
@@ConorOLeary-rl4bs Can't wait for the next test. I don't think there will be many blow-out scores or results between these two sides as we have much shared rugby "intellectual capital".
I hope that filters off to the Irish media , lost if disrespectful comments come towards the boks many uncalled for , the boks are the pride of our nation so kindly respect the people’s team , we know everyone hates us we get that , and well done Ireland you played a great game
@@raymondmather3442No there’s no disrespectful comments, South Africans are just extremely sensitive and obsessed, particularly with Ireland for some reason.
As a Kiwi watching.. well played both teams. Thought Ireland were fading towards the end however they stayed in the fight. How can u not love Andy Farrelll... what a coach and a man. Gracious and level headed. For a Pom.... he breaks the mould..LOL
He's a Pom from 100% irish background. As is the case with half of the north of England. Just look at Liverpool. May aswell be part of Ireland. Great fella Farrell
@@hopeaguero7460 because we really didn’t have a team until about 15 years ago . When I was a kid I didn’t even know Leinster and the rest of the provinces had a rugby team
Well done Andy. Respect as a South African for your professional conducts during this Press Conference. It underscores why we have such respect for you and the Irish team. Great game and great to be having you compete with us for the Top of the Ladder.
Peter O'mahony looks like he's having flashbacks of that bombsquad coming on lol😂....but credit to Ireland...neither team were at their very best, both will be stronger next week.
@WayneCalsen Thank you. Still think we'll lose again next week, though. S. Africa just a step above us. We really need to blood a few new players aswell. O Mahony was a super player, but ues absolutely gone at this level. Izechukwu for me
Thank you for your respectful comments, great coach great team , it was very personal match for us , record hopefully set straight, and game two should be a cracking match the best two ranked teams playing the game we love
James lowe created 3 tries (one disallowed) but his game play on attack and defence is second to none... Most dangworus player against the Springboks imo. Not just skills but also a passion to get the backline going.
Absolutely, I would have said nothing negative if you pulled that win back, which you almost did, to score that try 2mins before time to still have time for kick off was class. I think Ireland has really created a GREAT brand of rugby and from my understanding the systems are in place so that you can at the very least try to keep this level for the foreseeable future, which is just awesome for those of us who enjoy good rugby.
🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦. Well done to the lost which explains WRC in a nut shell .SA lost on purpose to give Ireland hope of making one just one semi final in the WRC .its 2024 now since the beginning of rugby NO WRC SEMI FINAL 😮😮😮😮 .ASK PETER WHY DOES HE LOOK LIKE THAT?? ITS REALIZATION OF PURE CHAMPIONSHIP POWER ..IRELAND AINT EVEN BEATING NZ .AUSTRALIA WILL BEAT IRELAND
I feel like James Lowe played immensely tonight , he was so goood , that lineout save was incredible … they really have a lot of positives to take away from this match I feel . The coaches should be too hard on them … within 7 points of a very rusty boks squad is a huge achievement for Ireland … come on lads bounce back for next week # zombie
@@64jkn we should never have allowed James to Leave NZ...such a talent..Irelands gain. Same with Gibson Park and Bundi Aki...pity all the money is in the Northern Hemisphere.
James Lowe been working hard on those sideline plays , I feel they can be positive in many ways about their performance .. James played exceptionally … the fact that he dragged that ball back into play whilst being in mid Air …. You can see he’s been training that . Incredible
Great game but the Boks edged it and deserved the win. Ireland looked down and out and I was really worried when the bomb squad came on but somehow they fought back and pushed the Boks all the way to the end. Very few teams out there would be capable of that in Loftus against this great Bok team so that was indeed very pleasing from an Irish point of view. Both teams have some tweaking to do in the coming week which sets up the next game as a potential classic. Bring it on!!
Ireland is worthy competitors. Right up there. The best Northern team by far. They closed the gap with the Southern teams. Very consistent like the All Blacks.
Springbok supporter here 🇿🇦 Happy the boks won but in fairness some of the key tmo decisions favoured SA. A draw would have been a fair reflection. Neither team gave an inch and both sides made mistakes in equal measure. Well played Ireland. 🇮🇪
To be brutally honest, Am a big bokke Fan🇿🇦🥇 and I must say am proud of the boys for winning this one. However I think I must really give it back to this Irish side these boys they defended with their lives even though they were under so much pressure and they were still able to break out of our strong defense line. But I must say if the springboks are just going to create pressure and not score any tries then I really see Ireland possibly beating the springboks this next game because we were wasting so much of good attacking opportunities because we were not really clinical in our rugs and scrum and looking at how much pressure that put on faf I can say Ireland played a massive game for sure. If we actually analyze every little opportunity that this Ireland boys got they did everything to use it and maybe it might just work for them this next Saturday. But yepp the world champions proved themselves again🇿🇦🫶🫶
There were some casualties out there Sheehan, idk about Porter hand but he tough mf, and Casey plus hope his okay after that nasty head injury and I can’t forget about Henshaw getting bottomed But Ireland stuck in there and deserve full credit and respect for their performance ALL OR NOTHING IN KZN Next week
This victory does not sit well with me. Ek voel krapperig... To my mind Lowe was out. Well played Ireland. We'll take the win 💪🏼 Looking forward to another enthralling test match next week against worthy foes. Siya was colossal (not fat).
Andy Farrell is such a humble and no-nonsense individual, he faces his team's inability to beat this great Boks team, blaming no one not even the match officials for making errors on the field.
Could have gone either way, both sides were slightly disconnected, giving away penalties, luckily SA could not convert those. SA was the better team on the day🎉
Well played Ireland. What a team you have become but the Boks done it again. Well played even though both teams weren't at their best. Bring on next Saturday
Hats off to this Irish team. Real warriors who never gave up. Really impressive lads. I was there when the Bulls beat Leinster at Loftus and again now when the Boks beat Ireland at Loftus. Irish just never give up. Fantastic!
Trust Casey will be ok? neva good to see a player down like that and hats off to the ref for immediately stopping play.. So many times we see play continue when a player is down.. Thx Ireland for a helluva game, didn't thing it would be anything other than that.. Go Bokke!!
I’m an Irealnd fan so bias accepted. The only thing that counts in the end is the score and well done to RSA but I think ireland came off better than RSA yesterday. RSA had home advantage, which is huge. Altitude and all that goes with it. There were a lot of points and scores that didn’t come off for IRL yesterday, WTF was with the kicking? Several marginal calls. Next match should be great.
atmosphere thing is a thing of the past. Most of the Bok players live and play at the coast. Glasgow and Munster won there recently. It has now become and old fishwife's story. Reply
Both teams have amazing players, legends of the game and tonight even they felt the pressure. The game was very technical, Springboks not up to the speed in getting there defense line straight across the field and a couple of missed tackles. In the same breath, the Irish got tackled back many times, pressure on some of their decision making. The good news is that both teams threw it all on the field, it was a scrappy but great game to watch.
Andy classy as always. But im so sick of the irish press q&a's with no boom mic on the press, can never hear the questions properly, such a waste of time.
Andy lives and breathes rugby, highly competitive man. As a saffa you gotta admire his focus, his son isn't the second highest points scorer in the history of the game by accident. His win % with Ireland also isn't a coincidence. I knew this match would be close, my prediction before the match was 28-22 SA wins because I knew it could swing either way.
The Boks consistently kicked off so deep that if the ball was let go it would have rolled over the dead-ball line, especially in the thin air of the Highveld. Obviously the Irish didn't know this but no local team's players would have caught those kicks.
If that james lowe ball went to his player and they had a try because of it ... we would also be asking these questions as Bok fans . But at the end of the day the boks were in control most of the game . And if your in n position where it comes down to small decisions its always going to be contested
@@scran7346yes and beter harder , stronger rugby players than you . Plus we have 4 world cups to prove it. You play 6 nations. . Against your neighbors we play against the best in the world.
The Boks were not clinical enough. A worrying factor for me is the relative ease with which Ireland created try scoring opportunities and with a bit of luck going their way, they would have won the match. The expansive game is exciting to watch, but not at the expense of defense. There were far too many 50/50 calls to enthuse over the victory. I feel sorry for the Irish, but am happy for the result. Let us hope that on Saturday the Boks will up the intensity and also do better in the kicking at goal department.
Huge respect to Ireland, I thought they would beat us because the team has been together and more active than us because of the six nations. Looking at the replays of the TMO decisions, I think they got it right and the Boks rode their luck. SA looked more tired than Ireland and Pollard in particular had a torrid game so I think maybe we need to start bedding in some new players after this series. If we lose games, it’s part of a cycle, so have to accept that.
Idk why people are asking these questions about the TMO cameras Look SA we’re on the wrong side of it against France in 2022 and that JVF maul try against us in the same year It’s nature of the sport and you have to take your licks when it goes against yah
Journalists stirring the pot, largely because they've got nothing else to contribute. No advanced knowledge of the game, no tactical insights: just loaded questions designed to generate clickbait nonsense. Good to see both coaches rise above it.
@@64jkn don’t talk to me if you did not watch the game or just say you don’t know the rules The first disallowed was because Kelleher was playing the ball on the ground off feet in a ruck which is illegal, and Ireland tend to get away with that BS all the time - the same way they did in 2022 game in Dublin when Hanson scored a try off that The Doris disallowed showed no conclusive evidence You lost, take your licks and could’ve lost by more so be grateful
should have would have ?? goes for both teams , both teams can look for excuses, can look for stuff that didnt go their way, thats rugby, there is some luck here and there, but in the end the players need to know what they have to do to win the game and cant rely always on just luck. Ireland were and still are formidable opponents and world class, they are up there with the worlds best, also up there are the Springboks and on the day they did it..Ireland have another chance next week, and lets hope Rassie doesnt mess around with second stringers now and trying out new stuff. Otherwise Ireand can easily put the boks to sleep
@@knowmean Altitude dont impact fit teams. All Blacks have come to altitude to beat us, many teams give South African teams hard time at Altitude. The onoy players in the springbok team who are used to altitude are the bulls and lions players.
atmosphere thing is a thing of the past. Most of the Bok players live and play at the coast. Glasgow and Munster won there recently. It has now become and old fishwife's story.
What TMO calls did they get so wrong? Irish player clearly played the ball on the ground in the first. Kolby on field try was given, ref asked for clear evidence that ball was in touch, no clear evidence after 10 replays and 4 angles. Also Check on Ireland score under the posts shows there was no grounding. Unlucky yes, but they were all good TMO calls.
Irelands kicker was very poor but so was Pollard. Ref and tmo very poor. Irish very diplomatic on the decisions against them. Great ; hard scrap though from both teams.
I’m surprised at this point they haven’t pulled the, we were poisoned by the deep cover mole in the flight crew of Aer Lingus - obvious Rassie move. Like, at the bottom of their hearts - they must know. They must. must.
