Bulls supporters have been so gracious after Glasgow's victory. White is a bitter, bitter man. Bulls win the penalty count, Glasgow had a player to the bin. Glasgow travel 6K miles to play at altitude in a stadium packed with opposition fans. The truth is, his team were a busted flush after 30 minutes. They didn't play the conditions and Glasgow were fitter and stronger over the whole period of the match. This tirade compared to the gracious interview with Ruan Nortje at the end is like night and day. If White continues with this attitude the Bulls will go nowhere. From World Cup winner to URC 🤡
I can't agree with you more. Huge respect for Ruan Nortjes attitude in defeat. JW is so bitter, revengeful, and narcissistic. He needs to learn from Ruan, then maybe things will change for the Bulls.
Yes, every ref makes mistakes during a game, Piardi made his fair share - but when you're marking your own homework Jake, maybe consider that your team lost many of the key battles today? Run metres - Glasgow 516, Bulls 269. Defenders beaten - Glasgow 40 to the Bulls 15. Tackle completion by Glasgow was 92%, but the Bulls were a disappointingly poor 70 odd %. Clean breaks 6 for Glasgow, 2 for the Bulls. As for not having 5 internationalists to call upon like Glasgow? Is that a great point to make? Yes, Turner has 45 caps. However Dobie is 23 yrs old and has 1 full cap to his name from 2021. However the other used subs were : 23 yr old Gregor Brown, (drafted in for the ill Max Williamson) - no full caps, but some at U18 and U20 for Scotland. 26 yr old Nathan McBeth - no full caps and some at U20's for Scotland and South Africa and yes, plenty of experience in Henco Venter but also has no caps - but did feature in South Africa's U16 elite squad? Jake - you are better than that, this post match interview does not do you any favours. You lost Jake because Glasgow were the better team on the day.
He should be allowed to have emotions after such a great achievement of making the final but losing. I'll bet he'll come around when he's had some time.
"the referee let the away team win" - my brother in christ, the penalty count was 17-10 to Glasgow "every reserve they brought on was international" - 3/5 Glasgow subs used are uncapped
Yea Jake. The Bulls were not the better team today. You can’t be chirping the ref when it was so clear that the Bulls were out of ideas on attack and making mistakes like kicking a penalty kick dead out the back. FFS man, own that you shat the bed. This wasn’t on the ref.
You got this one wrong Jake. Sitting there like all is going according to plan on the night. I'm happy the best team won on the night. Blaming the ref is extremely low!! They had no game plan and should've played the Bulls way of playing rugby. Well done Glasgow. Deserved winners.
Graceless from Jake White - ‘the referee let the away team win”. Glasgow felt aggrieved by some referee’s decisions too. The result wasn’t caused by the referee and neither was Glasgow’s win at Munster.
Yeah the ref stuff's a bit much. Loads of Glasgow moaning about Piardi at Thormond, thought he was pretty fair TBH. Pen count was 17 9 against glasgow i think, doesn't scream away team ref to me!
There are certain aspects he was completely blind on. Especially the mauls and scrums where he had no clue what was going on. And allot of other things he missed as well. He has never been a good referee on any stage. Yes. It should not be used as an excuse and hence no complaints from the fans. But there was multiple game defing moments he was blind to and got wrong.
This is disgusting. This guy refuses to take accountability. As a South African, I was hoping for a win, especially last weekend after beating the Irish. But during the week I felt like the Bulls thought the results was a given. So I wanted them to learn a lesson but still wanted the cup in RSA. After now seeing Jake fail to take accountability, AGAIN, I'm so happy. But I feel for their supporters. I felt it last year. Started getting over it after a week and a half.
you nailed it mate... hard to listen to this dribble....sad comments from White for a great sporting URC event...well done Glasgow...they did it the hard way....beating Munster in Thomond Park.
Sorry - but Glasgow brought on 5 subs, 3 of which have no intl caps and 1 of the other 2 is a 23 yr old scrum half who has a couple of caps and is 4/5th choice. In addition to blaming the ref this is clearly the most bizarrely incorrect I’ve ever heard Jake White speak - clearly emotional but at best bizarre at worst afraid to say it a sore loser.
@@Valhalla88888how is that cheating buddy? You do realise all coaches communicate with their on-field team? Rassie just found a way tbat is efficient for them. And apparently to get some folks"s brains in a tizzy.
Jake moaning and whinging his way through his press conference. You were beaten by a better team with a better coach in a home game. Glasgow beat better teams than Bulls on the way to the final. Well done the Scots. From Leinster
What a bitter, graceless man - not a word of congratulations to Glasgow at the start as most gentlemen would and oh - let's blame referees!! Sad stuff after an awesome game.
You should watch it again. Jake did give Glasgow credit. Think you should get tested for that. You're short memory is bad if you couldn't hear or remember that before typing the comment.
He did compliment Glasgow but he did come across as bitter and to bring up the refereeing wasn't sporting. If anything I thought the Bulls had the side of the referee. The decision to disallow the Glasgow try was questionable. Glasgow were penalized more than the Bulls.
What a bitter comment. He's open and told everyone how he felt and didn't hide anything as all coaches feel. You want him to get up and say that he is happy? He wanted this and didn't get it. He was respectful and complimentary of the opposition. Stop being bitter to him
He's obviously emotional. But give credit where credit is due, Glasgow were better on the day. And seriously blaming the ref, c'mon Jake you're better than that! On the day the bulls were simply not good enough. Last week this team won against a team which was loaded with internationals and nothing was said about it, but suddenly the result goes the other way and it's a huge issue for Jake... Really. A very strange presser.
He did talk about it thoagh last week when asked? He did not stay silent last week and did say he was unhappy. The ref was not great today and made critical errors. But in saying that the Bulls have no excuse how one dimensional the attack was without Willie and never looked like scoring. Their defense was good and credit is given to Glasgow but one also can't say the rf was good because he was not.
Like you said. The guy is just disappointed. Why do you kick him when he is lying. No one is a gracious winner. Not the french, not blerrie Stormers, not All blacks, pommies, Irish. You name it.
No he didn't. Nothing what he said in the week was underestimating them. He knew what would be coming. Not that you'd probably know and are just making up things on the go.
Takes one to see one😂😂😂. Stil the stupidest comment. Your brainless if you think they underestimated Glasgow. He mentioned numerous times in the pre match that you don't win munster at munster without being exceptional. I'm a doos but your a stupid doos.
You can clearly see Jake has a huge ego problem...thought he was too big, take a leave out of Rassie's book who is a back to back world cup coach. And now clearly upset because all he wanted was to be the first to win in the north and south. Stop thinking about yourself and rather the team and country. You really doing damage to your legacy.
Thats a bitter man, both teams played their hearts out. Reffing was slightly dubious on both sides. Glasgow defence was immense, their ability to scramble and put quick ball through the hands was unreal. 14 men at the end of that game, giving away penalty after penalty and they still held the bulls out. Credit where credit is due. Thank your players for an amazing game, stop making excuses and be humble in defeat. That was high pressure intese game and the full 46 should be immensely proud.
He can say what he likes. Bulls had a full stadium. And not 1 player stood up they all looked tired and not like they playing in a final i was in the stadium and the atmosphere was amazing the player were just slapgat
"Two years in a row that the ref let the away side win" Get out of here! Saffa teams have lost both finals fair and square. Blaming the ref is so weak.
He didn’t just blame the ref. He spoke about alot of things. Listen to the whole presser. Spoke about lot more infact he spoke of experience mostly and bulls are young and Glasgow was loaded with internationals.
Unless the ref was making the Bulls miss 25% of their tackles, take it on the chin and have some grace like his captain, players, and Bulls fans. 17 penalties against Glasgow to 10 against the Bulls. Lost to a better team with the best maul in the league.
Oh Dear….. Edinburgh fan here. Despite the rivalry, of course I am supporting the Scottish team. Always rated Jake- but he needs to take a leaf from the Bulls fans and lose with honour. Some poor comments. Bulls fans taking it on the chin. Great match to watch btw!! And….. Wow! Loftus at capacity is intimidating! 😮
A Leinster fan. Many congrats to Glasgow. Not noble to not credit Glasgow. He can’t put yoo much weight on the international players as they did beat Leinster whose players won the six nations so on paper perhaps Glasgow should have been the easier option but Glasgow’s resolve and determination was key. Leinster may have taken a lot out of the Bulls.
I have to say almost all the comments from SA fans and media I've read post match have been very magnanimous and fair. So to hear JW talking about refs letting away sides win. like they aren't suppose to "allow" an away side a win if they play better!?!? There were no other maul penalties, catergorically untrue. Glasgow bench all international. categorically untrue.
Well done Glasgow and fair play. Hard luck Bulls, you had a great tournament. Being a Leinster fan, i feel your pain 😢.. Rigby is a mind game. SA player base is so strong. Bulls might not have all the test players, but they are just as good and would play test rugby for other nations. Too many excuses. Congrats to Glasgow 🎉
Obviously he’s emotional. But show some respect man. Your team was clearly 2nd best on the day. Your team is good but Glasgow on the day were simply better.
😂 😂 😂 😂.. wow.. the ref allowed the away side to win. No man Jake. Franco is just a brilliant coach that prepared his team very well. He must be given the Bok coaching gig after the 2027 RWC.
Really thought we would win this. No excuses at home and against opposition that had to travel twice in 2 weeks. Time for Jake to go. Bulls have the best resources in SA.
Last week played Leinster who have 17 internationals and beat them. Sore and sour loser. Why not front up and give credit to the better team on the day. As a Stormer I wanted the Bulls to win. But after this interview I am glad that you lost.
Jake. Poor you....boo hoo. The refereeing team did a solid job. Bulls, well done on getting to the final. You played some incredible rugby. It's a pity you were flat footed in the 2nd half. Some players made unusual basic errors. This cost you dearly. Glasgow. Wow. To come to Loftus and play out of your skin. It was absolutely brilliant. Your energy in the 2nd half was fantastic to watch. What a great example of courage and confidence. You deserve this victory!
Jake proved himself to be the washout he actually is. All the expectations we had of the Bulls came to zero because we have become accustomed to one dimensional rugby and in this case one dimensional coaches as well.
We lost the game, full stop! Young team, yadda, yadda, how many finals do you have to play to win it? Jake won a RWC because he had great players and we did not play, NZ, AUS or France!
@@dalibormlynek4197 Lol, the truth hurts, it’s no joke! We got well beaten by all three those teams the year before and we were lucky not to “meet them” in the 2007 RWC. Crystal gazer 🤣
If I recall correctly, when Shimlas won the varsity a couple of years ago, Franco was credited with much more than just being an excellent rugby coach. He also taught these rugby players' life skills and other values aside from rugby. A wonderful person and humble. I honour Franco for that.😊
A FEW mistakes ? Too many missed tackles; the same old; repetitive * Crash + Bash * format that was negated due to its predictabilty; rolling-mauls that were blocked ( Again due to predictabilty ); Goosen's ridiculous * Dead-Ball * penalty; bad handling; seemingly no direction from the Coaching-Staff or Cxptain to change the pattern of the game .... etc Almost a case of the re-introduction of typical BB's ( Especially the second-half ); one-dimensional rugga at the worst time to do so after a solid season. To the GW who played as a TEAM at altitude and at Loftus ( nogal ); must go the simple; deserved recognition of cohesion and being the better on the day; having sussed out the BB's desperate reversion to same-old / predictable default rugga ! Whilst understandably frustrated and disappointed with the BB's below-par performance; JW''s ( For who he is ) post-game interview is also best forgotten .... 🏴🏉🏆 PS : Trust me; as a 🦈 supporter; I was certainly rooting for the BB's !
@@johnnyeveritt5695Rolling mauls were blocked illegally especially that last one. But the attack was shocking thoagh from the Bulls and most certainly did miss Willie on the pitch tonight from a experience side.
Reminds me of a previous bulls loose forward Anton Leonard. He did the same thing over and over...picking up the ball behind the scrum, ram forward a few meters and taken out. Doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different outcome.😮
The Bulls played their old losing game. The ball hardly ever gets to the wingers. Options for forwards are limited. Wingers are and should be game makers. MR. White is holding on to old school rugby. Well he got rewarded for what he taught. Wake up Jake.
When the bulls loose it is always the ref😮realy it is not good to blame the ref always the bulls ate bad loosers, glascow was 5he better team with a better couch and that is it
It kills me when Glasgow are down to 14 men (their Flyhalf) as been sent to the bin. And the Bulls continue 1 out rugby. The overlap is in the backline at the edge. But NO....the Bulls just continued with the brain dead 1 out play, where there was no numerical advantage. Sure....you could argue, look how close they got with the maul at the end. But I don't buy it - Glasgow was stopping mauls and pick and drives ALL DAY. They were down to 14 men, and the BULLS refused to exploit it.
In ythje second half , after 100 times of trying to bash through Glasgow defense and failed . Why not change the attack and spread the ball wide . SCHALK said it "ONE PASS RUCK, ONE PASS RUCK ,ONE PASS RUCK .Glasgows defense was to good. CHANGE THE GAME PLAN
Willie was missed big time but the Bulls couldn't close the game, they needed more power up-front towards the end. Jake must learn that nobody gives you a win,you have to earn it,Well done Glasgow, the better product ultimately. Bulls back to the drawing board, though luck boys.
Big Bull supporter, how the hell did we loose this one 13-0 with 2 min to go first halve ? well done Glasgow, same as last week Glasgow should not have won, but somehow you pulled it off. Jake, bra last week was the worst ref performance that i maybe ever seen, this week not great but did not impact the result, Glasgow just showed class. Bulls well done with a good seoson .
Hi Jake, Our whole pack is internationals because as a country, we don't have a massive pool to choose from. We have 2 professional teams in the country, and we are not a rugby nation. There's nothing worse than sore loser.
Jake you are part and parcel of the South African rugby landscape. As a Lions supporter I wanted badly to see that rare smile of yours. It was not to be. The Lions had three Super Rugby finals in a row and I was at the Park every Saturday they played. One very special final was at Ellis Park against the Crusaders, and I was there, I know the feeling as a supporter. We went down to 14 men due to à "high tackle" from Kwagga who was in tears afterwards. Now look at Kwagga now...a Rugby superstar! Good luck! We need Jake White and tbhe Bulls in our vast rugby landscape here in South Africa.
I think it is time to hang the boots as a coach. Heyneke Meyer was in a similar position, but he made the Bulls what they were when winning the super 14 and then this coach just used all those players in his Bok squad to win the world cup suddenly he is the World cup winner coach! Bring Heyneke Meyer back please. He will show you how to win finals with this very same inexperienced team!!
The bulls return to the it shortball, stapkar rugby when the pressure was on. Captain to young change the game plan. Sorry for them. Franco knows bulls rugby and to beat it.
Glasgow fan - this isn't as bad as I'd heard, he's obviously gutted and a bit bewildered his team lost in front of all their fans. Probably not ready for the questions. Give him a break
Can see why Jake white and Eddie jones worked well together. Absolute prick. Hope Glasgow, Munster and Leinster remember these comments everytime they play the Bulls.
Great respect to Jake and the Bulls. Today didn't work out, but tomorrow is another day. We feel your heartache but what a good lesson for these great athletes. See you next year!😊
Jake is emotional, he's human and it obviously hurts him. Yes the officiating of the maul was suspect, constant bind changes....but Glasgow played to what the ref gave them, that's rugby and Jake will know that more than the next man.
Time for Jake to move on…..time to go and fresh ideas needed - Glasgow were much better prepared. Sounded like too many excuses - may lack internationals but still managed to beat an international studded Leinster
Bulls game management was poor! Goosen grabs the ball doesn't even think about how to kick for touch and overcooks it. Then bulls had an opportunity to kick for poles and decided to go for the line out but there was enough to time to kick for poles and start a come back. Hands down the Glasgow warriors played like warriors and never backed down! Good lesson in rugby don't ever underestimate an underdog!
Went in supporting the bulls, but Glasgow deserved it. They really dug deep to win it. Congrats to them. It's disappointing to see Jake making excuses.
The Bulls game plan was so weak it seemed as if match fixing was at play, Your fault Jake! "The referee let them win", change your name to "Joke" stop making weak excuses!
What a bad loser! He should be showing a better example to his players and not blaming everyone and everything possible, a prime example of bad leadership. He would get far more respect congratulationing his team for reaching the final.
Jake as n Bulls surporter how did you mess this up? Let me tell you how..... Scrum and line out losses as critical times. Goosen having brain farts at critical times Game plan...what was the game plan except for the first 30min The try GW scored in 40th min was crucial and the line out penalty before that was the most important f-up in the game. Ok then our own scrum penalty Steenkamp collaped and Goosens brain fart Our fantastic loose trio was out played Im am still pissed off this morning 😂😂😂😂
