Ireland's Call ( with lyrics ) Feach ar mo fís tapa nua "the Fields of Athenry" Please watch my new video of "the Fields of Athenry" • The Fields of Athenry ...
Congratulations 🇮🇪 for your new Guinness 6 Nations success this year and Happy St. Patrick's Day ! And by the way, as a 🏉 union fan from 🇨🇵, I love this anthem when I am watching a 🏉 game on 📺 when Ireland is playing, especially in Aviva Stadium, Dublin. 🇮🇪 Ireland 🇮🇪, 🇮🇪 Ireland 🇮🇪, Together, standing tall. Shoulder to shoulder, we will answer the Ireland call ! 🇮🇪 HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY IRISH PEOPLE !!!!! 🇮🇪
The Scots and the Irish are the only people who will sing each others anthems at the top of their voices at the rugby, and I love it. Proud to be Scottish, and I love my Irish brethren.
Interestingly this isn’t out anthem but created because the team was a mix of northern and southern players so the actual anthem is only sung on Irish soil but every where esle this is sung
Love to France from Ireland! In secondary schools French is the other country language class we can choose ourselves (to learn)! Great respect to the French people 🇮🇪💚💙🇫🇷
I am Polish. As I hear this song, I have shivers on my body. Beautiful, amazing and to glory song. I love this song. I greet all the wonderful people from Ireland. I love Ireland :-)
Greetings from Northern Ireland. Where the border is only a line on a map. IRFU is a testament to what the people of Ireland can do when differences are set aside and we stand shoulder to shoulder!
This brings tears to my eyes considering I have Irish in me my great grandparents were from Dublin 🇮🇪 my grandmother came to the United States when she was a child my mom is half Irish and I'm part Irish and very proud of it along with my other heritages God Bless Ireland.
My favourite "anthem" in the Six Nations, and in general. I am Scottish, but found it almost impossible not to sing along for a wee bit at Murrayfield yesterday. Magnificent anthem.
Matt Moroney Well said, my countryman! Some of us wanted to remain in Union with Britain and others wanted full independence; but never did even the strongest unionist/loyalist movement in Ulster deny their Irishness alongside their countrymen! No matter how many times we are divided, we are One Nation. 2000 years has dictated this!!
+Tyler Quandt 100% agree , I am a Unionist / Loyalist minded person and I also want the Irish team to do well. Ulster ...British from Northern Ireland .......come on Ireland ....make us proud ...love you.
+Tyler Quandt......Its a strange thing , being a Ulster Protestant , Loyalist , Unionist and all the other tags and labels . I support the Norn Iron football team but if the Republic plays I would cheer them on as well , and also when the Irish rugby team plays , I just have to support them.
Woofer59 I refer you to a quote made by the prominent Ulster-Unionist Moneypenny: "Ulstermen are Irishmen too. We love our country (Ireland) and work for its good. We do not want to be separated from our southern Irish countrymen." There is not a thing wrong with being loyal to Her Majesty and the Union yet retaining an Irish sense of identity. We old an Ulster identity here-- what makes up that Ulster identity is undeniably Irish- the Orange Order for one. You know of Carson no doubt. The Irish speaking Hurling Unionist from Dublin. We need not be so divided as we make out.
I’m not Irish, but I’m from New York. And the Irish rule here. Without the Irish we never would have had the New York we have today. I went to school with Irish kids and my best friend is a Irish from Cork. Irish are some of the nicest and kindest people you meet. God bless Ireland i hope one day to visit your beautiful island.
I'm from Mexico, and like many here my ancestors are from Ireland. We in Mexico have a lot to thank the Irish for. From William Lamport (The Zorro) for helping us push for independence, to all the Irish soldiers in Saint Patrick's battalion who helped Mexico in the Mexican-American war. On behalf of Mexico I'd like to thank my Irish brothers. Much love.
St.Patrick was from Scotland/Britain, he wasnt "irish" at all (romano-briton) and has nothing to do with Roman Catholic church, and secondly all you speak of is Roman Catholics not "irish" people as a whole or the island etc. Mexico was created by Catholic colonists on behalf of the Pope+Kings, thats why you speak Spanish. "St patricks battalion":"Composed primarily of Catholic Irish immigrants, the battalion also included Germans, Canadians, English, French, Italians, Poles, Scots, Spaniards, Swiss, and Mexicans, many of whom were also members of the Catholic Church.
Greetings from San Francisco and the son of an Irish emigrant to America who lived in Ireland a few years. I love this song and hope some day Ireland is united as it should be. Erin go Bragh.
I hope that one day "America" is "Turtle Island" again as it should be. Lol. You have no understanding of ireland and are a colonist yourself living on stolen land. Reality check.
@@AAA-fh5kd You know nothing about me. I've lived in Ireland, studied Irish history and very supportive of native Americans and other oppressed people.
@@timlinator Then you'd know that the oldest genetic peoples in the islands would be related to the Welsh rather than the later waves of other peoples who "invaded" ireland (gaelic culture/language etc), you fail to see the fact that nothing you do can make up for your being a colonist born on stolen land, nomatter how much you think you 'care for and support' the 'native americans'. "Irish" isnt one thing , one linguistic or genetic or cultural group and never has been just like any other celtic era before it. Mixing recent 'nationalist' politics with all kinds of cartoonish pop cultural mythology is weel dodgy.
@@AAA-fh5kd Not even the Celts are the original people of Ireland, Scotland or Wales. There were stone age people there. England is the colonizer and your opinion is about as important to me as the turd I flushed down the toilet this morning.
happy St Patrick's day to my Irish friends and to you as well Ireland from Pennsylvania with love and I'm also Irish and I love Ireland ever since I got to know it and thank you Ireland with love and I'm proud to be Irish and I'm also proud of Ireland 🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮💚💚💚💚
Schöne Grüße von einem Iren in wunderschönen Deutschland! Unter uns, identifiziere ich mich eher mit Deutschland, auch wenn Irland meine Heimat ist und ich sie ab und zu vermiße
We may have just got the Grand Slam but whenever Wales play Ireland, I just can't help but sing along. I always want Wales to sinh but I hope this song spurs Ireland to give us a tough game! Evidently it didn't happen today, but hey... Grand Slam for us!!! Cymru Am Byth!!!
Ha, it’s the same for my dad. He’s Welsh but married my mum, who’s Irish. So, I think you have an idea of what the atmosphere is like in my house when there’s a Wales v Ireland match on😂.
I'm english and live in Coventry, West Midlands and I went Ireland and dublin for the first time during paddys day from the 16th - 19th March. Absolutley fell in love with the place and had such a great time. Everytime I hear irelands call the memories flood back being there... just makes me wish I was there again and can't wait to go back next year!
It isn't our national anthem. It is a rugby song. The reason it is sung at away matches is because it is a compromise between north and southern Ireland.
Djemba Djemba Sure taht I support Italy... I'm italian and proud to be italian! I mean that affer Italy the other country that I support is Ireland... but Italy for first... it's obvious!
I'm Catholic but I don't appreciate how you quote Catholic and proud. This is a very sensitive country when it comes to religion, best not to mention it at all. In the 6 nations we have many protestant men on our team. In fact our captain is an Ulster Scot. I don't think he would welcome your comment. I don't mean to insult you, just to be aware of the error in your statement. Much repect to you though 😊
I came here to watch this for nostalgia because when I was very young my teacher put this exact video on for the class a few times, I forget why, but we all linked arms and sang along and that was fun. Now I'm gonna go rewatch a video of a men's choir singing the coconut song on an airplane for the staff.
Northern or Republican. We are one proud people. The day will come when we will be together. I wait with bated breath for the day our island is joined and is free.
I sang in every Ireland cricket matches in men's world cup and women world cup. As i Indian i like the lyrics of united Ireland anthem. We support you in Cricket. All the best for qualifying for 2024 icc men's t20 world cup and women's t20 world cup.Lovely anthem from India 🇮🇳🇮🇪🇮🇳🇮🇪🇮🇳🇮🇪🇮🇳🇮🇪
David c i agree, this song is fantastic, and on the sideline teaches people about the irish struggle for independence!! Which we will get one day wether the protestant dirt like it or not 😂
Rugby did what hate could not do. The blood of the fallen ones is celebrated in happiness on a rugby court. Go on Ireland. Looking forward to see one soil, one nation, in mutual respect.
Im a Swede but i go to a a school in Australia based on Edmund Rice and Ireland, our school songs is a slightly different version of this, and listening to this gives you goose bumps everytime. Skål til Ireland!!
Dia daoibh mo chairde in Éirinn! Greetings from Russia to the valiant Irish nation and may your wonderful country live on and resist any foes and hardships on your way! 26+6=1!
As an American do you follow Rugby Union? This song was written as a joint anthem for the only sporting International side drawn from two countries (that I know of).
Conal Gillen I was born in the 80's in Ulster I hate the English even though I'm a protestant I've lived my whole life in Ireland not England let's get along ffs
I am listening to all music 🎶 I support Wales rugby team, Scotland rugby team, Ireland rugby team all three of the nationals Athamas is amazing and wonderful a big smile 🌺🎶
Hello from the US. I'm proud to say I lived in Dublin for four years when I was younger, and can trace my ancestry back to Ulster (County Cavan & County Fermanagh), Connacht (County Sligo), & Munster (County Cork & County Waterford). Although I support both the US & the Republic of Ireland in soccer, or football to all those outside the US, I only support Ireland in rugby. This version of Ireland's call is wonderful and though I sympathize with nationalists, I do not agree with those that criticize it simply on the motive of "appeasing the North". That's not what it's for. The Ireland team represents the four proud provinces, which each are equally Irish. Ireland is one island and one nation, and hopefully the soccer teams unite like the rugby team soon. COME ON IRELAND!!
As much as I love the call, I love “Grace” so much more. The love, which in the struggle for independence, lasted till Grace passed away over 50 years later, is a love story to behold. Especially in these days of turmoil and struggle.
Even tho I’ve lived in Wales for my whole life (and that I have a bit Welsh blood in me), as someone who has mainly Irish blood, I always feel that when I’m going to Ireland, I’m coming home.
Tir gan teanga, tir gan anam(A country without a language,is a country without soul)( Padraig Pearse)....with that kind songs u guys confirm-you have soul, you have power and you will get back your language ...beautiful and priceless song....thanks!
