Not surprised to read that is a Phil Coulter song....love it and the voices blending in a rousing uplifting song!! So uplifting I started to sing with them. First heard this song by the Irish Tenors with Ronan Tynan!!!

Is this when 'Irelands call' was first performed on TV?

Yes, I think so, possibly 1995/96. I was one of the drummer/percussionists and we mimed the track on the show with the minimal of rehearsal!

MotheredANiMaL, this was definitely from April/May 1995, because this was when Ireland were playing in the Rugby World Cup. This song only managed to reach Number 29 in the Irish Charts.
