Ireland's Eternal Fire

The spiritual heritage of Ireland is profound and the roots of the faith go deep, deeper than most may realize. The countless monasteries, saints, missionaries, scholars, martyrs, all bear witness to the fact that the fire that St. Patrick started in this country was once powerfully ablaze. That fire has since dwindled, but God has not abandoned Ireland, and the same Holy Spirit intends to breathe forcefully once again on the embers that St. Patrick started to revive the flame. He just needs you and I to open our eyes to see what our Irish ancestors saw in the faith. He needs you and I to rediscover our roots.

If this generation of Irish people only knew how much our ancestors suffered to keep our Catholic faith and Sacraments alive on this Island. So many Brave Men And Women gave up their lives to protect the faith. St Patrick and all the Holy Irish Martyers pray for Ireland.

@Victoria Nolan I don’t think there is anything wrong with being sentimental or nostalgic. We can learn and grow from the past and it makes the world and us today. Faith is a virtue and not everyone has it and the men in this story had such a strong faith it’s inspiring. Praying the rosary is our sword to keep our Catholic family strong and I do agree with you on praying the rosary everyday! I’m not narrowing our Catholic family to any ethnicity or culture, we are all one big family ❤️. God bless!

This production gives me hope for the future. We are not to worry about Ireland and all the difficulties and persecution the church is now suffering. We need to stand up and promote the church and teaching and love of Christ. Its powerful. The irish in the pass knew they could lose everything their house food even their very lives yet their faith ment everything to them and were prepared to sacrifice everything for it.

What a crossover! Home of the Mother and Fr. Brendan Kilkoyne of Immaculata Productions! This video itself is absolute fire 🔥 I was completely in tears by the end, thinking of all those who have given me faith, not just these extraordinary people, but the unsung heroes of many generations who have seen the truth, been set alight by the fire, and passed it on. Indeed it is time for us to step up and not allow this fire to fade.

Wow. This production is beautiful. Thank you fr. Luke amazing. Its amazing how much our ancestors suffered for the faith and some were willing to die for the faith. We all need to help to reignite that fire for love of Christ. Whom loves us beyond anything on this earth. He is so worth it to just suffer a little for His sake.

I'm American of Irish descent, but only part of them were Catholic. My great-gran's family is said to have come from County Cork, but they were Protestant. Great-Gran converted to the true Faith, but I'm not sure if it was before or after she married my Cradle Catholic Great-Grandpa. He was from poor Irish stock that had emigrated to Canada before making their way to the US. All of their sons married Protestant women who converted to Catholicism after marriage. That includes my grandpa, who married a Scots-Irish woman whose family were Church of Latter Day Saints. My grandma had always wanted to be Catholic from childhood, so there was no question but that she would marry a Catholic. Her baptism and confirmation sponsor was a descendant of a man from Ireland, too. His name was Dr. Thomas Fitzgerald, grandson of one Edmund Fitzgerald. Edmund was one of seven brothers from Ireland who all became ship's captains on the Great Lakes, and all became shipbuilders as well. His grandnephew is the Edmund that the well-known ship was named for. Dr. Thomas Fitzgerald delivered Grandma's babies, besides being her sponsor. What they went through to hold on to the Faith in Ireland! It seems the pressure was too much for some of my ancestors, and it's true - they were more well-off financially, because their property wasn't confiscated and they had some savings when they emigrated, which they used to set themselves up in business and politics in America. The line of my family that persevered in the Faith were extremely poor when they arrived, and were simple laborers and farmers. I'm grateful that my Great-Gran and my Gran responded to the call to return to their ancestral Catholic roots.

Great Chapel in Saul - it is a Church of Ireland (Anglican) chapel right now, but the people are great and welcomed this Catholic from Texas. When I was in Ireland, I felt the closest to God in this little chapel. If you go to see it in Saul (just outside of Downpatrick, County Down), allow yourself to spend some time there. When Ireland comes back to the Faith, there will be one Faith across the whole country. Perhaps, God will allow the Fire to start from this little Chapel.
@davidsheehan7022
@davidsheehan7022 2 года назад
@Javier Garcia Javier, it will be the Catholic Faith. We are seeing here in the USA a lot of Anglicans coming into the Catholic Faith at this time through the Priestly Ordinariate of the Chair of St Peter. So, a little Anglican chapel like the one in Saul may become Catholic at some time in the future and become the "mustard seed" of the Gospels (Matthew 13:31-32). I probably won't live long enough to see this, but I believe that you will. God bless!

If Jesus is the answer to everything.. Why is Muhammed or Krishna or Buddha the same to other cultures? Jesus is a messenger from God, as the same of the others. Love is the purest energy and that is their teachings. ALL OF THEM!!
