I was hesitant to buy the irelieve brand because of the price and also I already own the omron brand and don’t really care for it. I decided to give in and buy the irelieve.

Ashley any feedback? Did you get this one? I live alone and have low back as well as neck issues due to a shoulder injury. I think the wireless would be best for me as the placement is difficult enough without wires and weight pulling it down. My specialist recommended a wireless device for that reason. This one didn’t come recommended on some of the research I did

@@deewhitman2812 I did end up buying the wireless irelieve tens unit. I previously owned the omron wireless one and liked it but have heard this one is the best so I have it a try and I think their both the same except I like the pads better on the irelieve machine.

Can you explain how to use an ems unit on your leg to rebuild muscle? My right leg atrophied pretty bad and i can finally walk again but need to rebuild muscle to be able to run again. Where do i put ems pads to get the most out of it?

Hi Dr. are these machines safe to use near the neck area like in the back of the back, I am curious if it’s ok to use near the spine at all.

Hi there, our products are OTC (Over-The-Counter) so we do not bill to insurance/medicare at this time. We do accept FSA/HSA cards! If you have anymore questions, please reach out anytime at wecare@ireliev.com

There are two different classes of TENS/EMS units. I don't believe this is one Medicare will cover, but it might depending on your specific plan. I would give them a call and see since you might have to go through a specific vendor to get the ones they cover.

Some insurances still do, but not all of them. It's worth calling and asking.

Twice now. Twice. I wrote you a message twice and it's disappeared twice and this is the third time they say that's charm so I will wrap it up real quick doing talk-to-text just want to know if you ever tried the other device and you had success with either of them with your pain and if your pain is gone away and if you let me know someday that'd be great. I don't know how to check my messages on here I don't get notifications. I'll figure it out though. Just like I'm going to try to figure out this device The lady on the video explained it greatly and I ought to have just looked at this instead of navigating the manual in a lackluster way. Then the iRelief collected dust. Just like me. Before I turn into dust it might be neat to have some ease from the pain that crept up on me. Not at all like the last 2 messages but wth lol I really hope you're out of pain these days and if you are 🤞 I'm curious if it's attributed to a machine such as this. Later on, like, much later 😂

Great video! In on the verge of buying one but I wonder if you would answer just a few questions? I have Drop Foot, no dorsiflex in my left foot and numb on the surface but with intense pain. They’re going to do an ELECTROMYOGRAPHY this week. They are using an e-stim machine during my PT and they refer to the Russian setting. They turn it on and ask me to try to flex when I feel the tingling. I am in tremendous pain. I’m taking up to 9 Advils a day and a prescription. I would like to avoid surgery but there are moments when I would do anything to stop this pain. So far they say I have arthritis in L3-4-5. I feel the pain and numbness in my peroneal nerve down my shin. I know I’ve said a lot here but do you think that this iRelieve unit will help me with Pain and or Recovery? Many many thanks for your quality video and many more thanks if you respond.
@AskDoctorJo
@AskDoctorJo 2 года назад
Thanks, and you're welcome! Unfortunately, I really don't know that answer since I can't evaluate you. Are you getting movement with the Russian current in PT? It's definitely worth talking to your PT about it. Most units in the PT setting are a little stronger, but it might be worth trying if your PT thinks it would help.

Hello again! I started reading your book and noticed that you graduated from The University of South Carolina. My wife and daughter also graduated from USC Spartanburg… small world. In any case as I started reading your book I really appreciated your presentation and inclusion of terminology definitions including Pain itself. So I just ordered the iReliev Wireless unit and I’m really looking forward to trying it. 🙏🤞

Congrat for your very good video. So, what do you think about '' russian stimulation '' ?
@AskDoctorJo

Thanks. It's mainly what is used in therapy clinics for NMES, and I think when used correctly, it can be very helpful to retrain muscles.

Hi Dr. Jo - Since the device is for nerve or muscular pain, I’m assuming I shouldn’t use it for my Achilles tendinitis? My Rt one is very tender/sore from overuse. Daily pincer grip massage using thumb & index finger producing little results. Going on 5 days. Thank you!
@AskDoctorJo

They can be used for tendonitis. Tendons are just the attachments from muscles to bone.

How would or should this be used with piriformis syndrome or sciatica? Can't seem to find any specifics regarding this.
@AskDoctorJo
@AskDoctorJo 4 года назад
If it's a true sciatica coming from your back, that is where you would place it. Otherwise, over the piriformis area.

@@AskDoctorJo I'm not sure. I know I have an anterior pelvic tilt but I also have pain in my upper back, plus the area between my shoulders is really tight, plus I feel a strong pulling on my nose, my upper mouth and my head backwards. I don't know what's causing that. Asked my doctor and he was unsure.
@AskDoctorJo
@AskDoctorJo 4 года назад
All those imbalances really could be coming from your tilt. Is there any way you can go see a physical therapist for an evaluation? You will get better quicker by figuring out the root cause instead of just treating symptoms.
@jonathanj9260
@jonathanj9260 4 года назад

@AskDoctorJo

I don't find them uncomfortable. As long as you are not pushing your back into anything, it should be fine, but lying down or reclining with them on your back might not be very comfortable.

It might not be syncing with the unit. Try turning the electrode on first, wait a few seconds, and then turn on the control unit. Cycle through the settings/time with the set button. Then you should be able to increase the intensity.

Hi Dr Jo, love your channel. Previously you reviewed a wired tens unit that had two channels. For knee pain you did a crisscross pattern across the knee using four pads and two channels. How would you use one of these pods for knee pain? Or would you need to use two pods, one on either side of the knee?
@AskDoctorJo
@AskDoctorJo 3 года назад
Thanks! It depends on what the injury is from/where it is: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BnpCRNVtLwo.html

Yes. As long as you keep them clean, and there are some simple cleaning methods for them, they will last for many uses though.

It depends on your skin type, but again, when they are cleaned properly maybe 20-30 uses.
