Don't underestimate or downplay chall players. Irelking does this because it works in 99% of his games, it is extremely rare that he ends up in a situation like this, and that is only when he does face another OTP where he cannot just brute force mechanics. I agree with everything that alois said but Irelking knows that he can outplay 99.9% of playerbase even while being level down.

disagree, much prefer alois play style. keeps you ahead and you never let them back in the game. Alois is better than these 2 players because of his discipline imo

"fully aware both players are way better than him." Don't know enough about jjking to comment on him. I don't even think he's the best fiora in korea, 14fiora outranks him by ~600 lp. (jjking is GM rn, and has been for the split) Irelking's fame partly stems from being an extremely flashy challenger irelia otp streamer, rather than just another chall player. What that also means is that he sometimes ints his ass off trying to hands gap plays that he "shouldn't" go for, because they're more likely to throw the game than go well. (getting the crazy 1v4 outplays in challenger on stream is what gets him his viewership, so its 100% worth for him, even if it costs him some lp) During Alois korea trip last year, he outranked irelking. Not "way" better than Alois (except at irelia, which is not part of Alois's champ pool). 2. Alois's comments on decision making aren't wrong just because the players go for a different play (notably, because at least in irelkings case, he's intentionally going for plays that are speculative mechanical outplays).
