Irena Veisaitė - a Lithuanian Jewish born in Kaunas. Veisaitė's mother died in the Kaunas Ghetto during World War Two. Irena Veisaitė was a Lithuanian theatre scholar, intellectual, and human rights activist.
Irena's story brought tears to my eyes. What a difficult time she went through at a tender age. Iam glad, Irena survived all the harsh experiences and got freedom, happiness and peace once again. Irena must be 94 years old if she is around. I wish her a long life.
Exquisite. To see and hear her, winsome and reflective, she is history in the flesh. With those wonderful role models, it’s how she survived. Life is eternal. Still, we bring sprays of flowers to you, we honor you and them. This film is artfully done, once seen, never forgotten.
What a wonderful, albeit tragic, testimony to the will of humans to survive through hardships, such as the Holocaust. I hope it is recorded for all future generations to learn and remember so that there is no excuse for denying that the Holocaust ever happened.
