@@MillieLilth oooh ive been to mexico city a few years back, jo no hablo mucho espanol entonces hablare en ingles heheh its a beautiful place. nicest people hehe. I'm also 25!!! yes, it will get better!!
The bestie who fake flirts with you to help your other bestie _realise._ Really, the gurls have always been there for Sherly. Mrs Hudson, Molly, even Janine.
I always felt so weird about this episode, I felt like it didn't fit in with Sherlock's character at all. Also I got so confused when she revealed, that she was a lesbian. However, this narrative fits the episode perfectly. I absolutely love it!! There is no better relationship than an emotional gay man, who is afraid of sex and a clever lesbian who does sex work.
The episode might make more sense if you've read the original Conan Doyle story/stories (dunno if you have?). It's based on "A Scandal in Bohemia," which is a famous early Sherlock Holmes story that (kind of) explains, or at least taps into, the original Holmes's rather weird attitude towards women (warning--prepare for pedantry!): He doesn't trust them, and doesn't want anything to do with them, yet he's incredibly courteous towards them, protective when they're in trouble (and not in the unthinking, "I'll take care of you, little lady" masculine way), and appreciates it when they have brains and courage. Not bad for a Victorian misanthrope.
I also always felt weird by that episode, especially since Irene supposedly is the "only women he ever loved" and it doesnt seem to fit into the character? I dunno. I like the fact that they're some sort of frenemies alot better tbf
@@ittselli3245 Although it wasn't so much that Irene was "the only woman he ever loved" as "the only woman who ever got the better of him" in the original stories. 👠💋👅!!! (He found that intriiiiiiiiiiiguing)
@@christinabeyer9298 I never said that John shouldn’t make a part of it. But just their dynamic on the same side for one episode.... man, this would be sick!
@@christinabeyer9298 She was the only one who ever could follow him into his mind palace and you want to tell me that she isn’t smart? And that they didn’t like each other that much WHEN SHERLOCK TRAVELED THE WHOLE CONTINENT TO RESCUE HER AFTER SHE BETRAYED HIM EVEN THOUGH HE DOESN’T LEAVE THE HOUSE FOR ANYTHING LESS THAN AN EIGHT?!?!?!?
lol It's so true though, like Americans just randomly showing up...which reminds me, I'm still annoyed that they made Irene British in the show when her character is actually supposed to be American if I recall correctly
@@ansleyvangorkom9491 So, I understood it as this: John: I am not actually gay. Meaning he is straight, only attracted to women. Irene: Well, I am. Meaning she is gay, only attracted to women. Irene: Look at us both. Meaning even though both shouldn't be attracted to Sherlock, since they're both only attracted to women, both fell for him in a way.
They’re both gay disasters and John is an oblivious bi disaster. No one can tell me otherwise. Edit: I guess over a thousand of you agree. Heh. While I’ve got your attention…Technically speaking, Sherly is a Homoromantic Asexual melodramatic pixie boi.
Sherlock isn't gay lol. Never has been. I mean he slept with Irene Adler. He just chose not to have sex because the benefits of sex (better sleep, better skin) would not really help him on the job. But Irene Adler is the only person Sherlock has been sexually attracted to. Even benedict cumberbatch in interview with ELLE UK gave us a (very) detailed description of what sherlock would be like in bed with a woman.
@@frankpembleton4381 I don’t know if that’s what happened in BBC Sherlock but I think it was implied that something happened between them after he rescued her from being beheaded (when Mycroft and then John thought she had been beheaded) before he came back to London.
@@frankpembleton4381 actually, Sherlock is Asexual. (Confirmed) 1. Doesn’t mean he can’t have/enjoy sex. 2. Sexual and Romantic orientations and attraction are separate. Sherlock could be homoromantic/biromantic/demiromantic/anything. 3. People saw ASiB as romantic? Huh. I always saw it as a power-play. Plus, Irene confirmed she’s a Lesbian. “Gay” not bi. Sherlock isn’t creepy _that way._ 4. They’re fictional characters. It’s up to interpretation.
And as usual, Bee, you've knocked it out of the park, down the avenue, through the window, across the blandbland conference table, through the other window, into a passing truck, and it's traveling out of town! I was cracking up right from the opening (WHERE do you find these sound clips???) (And WHERE DID YOU GET/HOW DID YOU MAKE THAT THEME SONG REMIX AT THE END????? *Diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiies*)
@@linatranslates It's when Sherlock is in his mind palace, interviewing various women (online, actually) who dated the Mayfly Man. Happens during the Epic Best Man speech in "The Sign of Three." (Oops--hope I haven't spoiled your fun!)

"jealousy bubble" HELP- 😭 Edit: "sudden americans" "bottom jokes" I LITERALLY LOVE THESE VIDEOS another edit: its the way i clicked on this video not realising ive already watched it 2 years ago apparently 😭
@@constancep7632 Oh, I absolutely accept that he could be, don't get me wrong; I just feel that the whole "gay/straight/bi/ace" etc. labeling bit is the sort of thing most of current human society cares about (probably too much, honestly). And Sherlock and...human...??? I kind of see him pondering the whole parcel of concepts for 7 nanoseconds (which is deep thought for him), then concluding, Quaint. (Just my opinion, naturally.)
Sherlock isn't gay. Stevan Moffat said that Sherlock is definitely not gay. He saved Irene Adler, then slept with her, so it's obvious he is attracted to her. In an interview with ELLE UK, Benedict Cumberbatch did give us a (supremely) detailed description as to what sherlock would be like in bed.
Making Irene a lesbian in this story was actually a genius way to strengthen her relation to Sherlock. It strengthens the point that she fell in love with his mind and his mind alone, because in this version it is literally the only thing that could have made him attractive to her. And due to Sherlock's mind basically being the only thing that truly defines him it makes that sense off pure love even stronger. Which of course eventually does her in.
Ahhh, i love this so much. That ep was so confusing coz sherlock was so out of character and it felt like they undermined irene's character halfway through. The only good thing is john being confused and jealous.
Irene and Sherlock being *gay* disasters for 7 minutes🛐 If somebody replies "Sherlock iS nOT gAY , hE iS aSeXuaL rEspeCT tHAT." I'm gonna end my life I'm having fun here, respect that. 🤭😊
I'm so glad I found your channel, I recently revived my unhealthy obsession with Sherlock and I need to watch content I haven't already seen 13 times 😭
I am just now seeing this video in the year of our lord 2023 and am literally in tears laughing. I don’t know how I found this but I still LOVE Irene Adler, all these years later
I miss them so much this show was and still is my whole life Sherlock is so chaotic sometimes I feel like going to blow an aneurysm listening to him talk
Still rewatching your videos to keep me alive, hello. Scandal in Belgravia is still the best episode ever in my opinion xD (unaired Pilot, Great Game and Fall being close behind) I still remember how Irene’s actress (I can’t remember her name right now, shame on me) commented on the scene of her slapping Ben, and asking if he needs a break or her to go softer, and he just goes “oh no no keep going” 🤣 that just makes it even better, somehow lol Ben really doesn’t stage things
Irene said she was lesbian then turns around and falls in love with Sherlock (meanwhile John in the jealously bubble) also this video is hilarious lmao
