In the christmas scene, lestrade actually thinks about sherlock's deduction. Most ppl sherlock deduced get angry and offended. Lestrade literally thinks about it and sighs in disappointment. Also why is lestrade single?? Hello , great man there, someone love him!
@@lydiacrafts3151 I'm already memorizing episodes, reading fanfics and headcanons, listening to 'who you really are' soundtrack and singing the musgrave ritual song. So it already has lol
@@sreejanagupta7220 I’ve been in this fandom for around 6 years now. It was the first fandom to really ruin my life completely. I can’t go anywhere without Sherlock gripping tightly to me. I know each of these characters inside and out. I know every word to every episode by heart, and I even went far enough to study forensics at college sooooooo :))))))
And then when he finally, actually gets it RIGHT, and everyone freezes in shock (including me, when I was watching the episode the first time)? Of course, afterwards, it occurred to me that Sherlock probably just methodically cycles through all the male names starting with "G", and next time he'll be back to "Gavin," or "Giles," or "Gilligan," or etc.
@@Muryxkitteh This does make sense, knowing Sherlock. However, he only gets it right twice I guess? The first is because John told him, and the second is in the very last episode - that time I think he genuinely was very grateful to Lestrade given the circumstances and hence the "thanks, Greg." was meant as a sincere one, and Sherlock definitely wanted to make sure he got the name right knowing how much it would mean to Lestrade.
sherlock: "they keep giving me this blanket" Giles: "yeah it's for shock" sherlock: "im not in shock!" 5 seconds later giles: "i have questions, sherlock!" sherlock: "why? im in shock, look ive got a blanket!" giles: "sherlooock!"
Greg Lestrade deserves much more love and recognition. SHERLOCK is mostly about alpha male trying to establish their supremacy. Here this man could just keep Sherlock out of everything and run his cases on his own prioritizing his male ego. but he cares about the cases being solved more than his pride. he has a job where a solved case means people getting justice. he doesn't mind swallowing his own pride to prioritize public welfare. he is one of the best fictional people i know. why can't real life men be like him?
While I adore Greg too, I think it's not entirely for public welfare that he consults Sherlock. He himself says it, "before John's blog" he used to get the credit for the solved cases himself. Unsolved cases would mean questioning both by the public and by senior officials. And the seniors didn't really know of Sherlock's involvement either, as we see in TRF. While it's obviously nice to see him concerned about getting people justice, I believe there are other factors at play as well. Also, I don't get the "alpha males trying to establish supremacy" in Sherlock's context, could you elaborate on that please? Not sure about other characters, but Sherlock seems to be driven more by a desire for public welfare and intellectual stimulation than establishing supremacy. He's clearly very uncomfortable about receiving credit and attention post John's blog.
I love the fact that Lestrade is one of the people that Moriarty identified as a target to hurt Sherlock... Morbid it may seem, that's proof of their good relationship
4:33 I always missed that part when Lestrade says, "Don't let it get to you; I always feel like screamin' when you walk into a room. ... Actually most people..." XD XD
I love how the whole series is just proving that greg was right in the first episode. ' cuz sHeRlOcK hOlMeS is a GRATE man AND one day if we're weally lucky he might even be a GOOD ONE'
in this series, i feel like the entirety of scotland yard shares one braincell, and lestrade almost always has it. also, was it kinda implied that anderson just quit after sherlock's death?? did he just- was he just like "aight, thats it, cant do this shit anymore, bye sisters❤️" or something-
@@freyexists.3657 yeah, it was mentioned in a video released inbetween series 2 and 3 called "Many Happy Returns", you can find it on youtube some of the clips were used in this video
