Iris Apfel searches Way We Wore for next 'totally mad' fashion find 

What I love most about this is that this isn't even vintage for her. She's the only one in the room who was alive when all of the clothes were made, when the different styles were in fashion. For her shopping for vintage clothing is a journey into her youth, into all the different time periods she lived in.

I just watched a 93 year old woman go shopping and I have no regrets. She's very cool

Now THIS is a woman that knows what she wants. She has her own individual style and a mindset to match. Nice to see an actual role model. She stays interested in life and it shows. Thank you, Iris!

Iris is thee coolest. Love her so much. She is a true original, authentic and fashionable person. Because anyone who is actually authentic says the same things she says “I don’t give a damn about labels”, because if you love it and it speaks to you, that’s what counts. Sometimes it just happens to be couture and special to everyone, sometimes it just happens to be special to you and label-less. I’ve adored things from Salvation Army that cost $5 as much as pieces that have cost $500. I love her because she is herself, and fabulous. She’s a national treasure.

Now this lady floats Doris’ boat AND mine. I found out about Doris’s show for The Smithsonian Channel and The doc Iris the same week. I thought I died and went to fashion heaven. So many wonderful, heartwarming, funny people surrounding you both as well. I keep telling everyone I know about both shows and nowDoris’s RU-vid channel. I assure them that I also read the Times and the Post, work, watch the news live coming out of Eastern Europe and yet a girl needs a break.
