its obvious that this girl isnt into vintage style… everyone is trying to convince her that she looks great in 1st dress when clearly she doesnt like it at all but too shy to be too direct… she needs to try on more dresses

For everyone saying that all the dresses in the store are ugly, this is basically like a high end thrift store. it's very hit or miss. You can sometimes find beautiful pieces if you just take your time and look.

She suited the silver-grey dress better than I thought she would. Something about it worked. If it were revamped for the 21st century it would've been a knock-out.

Long and sexy was really not the right style of dress for her...she looks very young for her age and hasn't developed any curves yet, so the length of the dress and the exposed neckline over-accentuate that and make her look like a child playing dress up with one of her mum's dresses. But she was very keen on the 70s idea and not open to better recommodations, so you can't really blame the store for that.

I remember my Prom very well and I spent weeks looking for the perfect dress and this was the 60's...I did not go for " sexy" it was not in my vocabulary at that time. I finally found it at a Bridal Boutique in North Hollywood, CA.... Pink Peau de Soie with matching full length coat....I had no idea my Mom had been saving for my first dress forever.... I was a Princess that night.. Thanks Mom !...... Sad to think about not seeing that attitude any more in this society.

Hmm....I don't really know what to say...the dress is ok, but the girl....there's just something about her attitude that makes it impossible for me to feel "jealous"...she's the type of person who wants to scream will all her being and everything she wears "hey it's me! recognize me! be jealous of me! I'm better than you". I don't really like that type of people.

I'm sorry but she's *crazy* for not choosing the 1st! It looked like it was tailored to her body and it was super unique. I'm obsessed with black but that 1 was so basic. It's beautiful but basic af. To each their own, I suppose.

To wear something that won’t be like anything else, to wear something that’s going to turn heads, you need to have the confidence to pull it off. She has great natural beauty, but her body language shows that she wouldn’t have pulled off that first dress.

I think the black dress looks great on her. I think with her hair done and make up and jewellry, she might have surprised everyone here making comments about how young she appears (which she is), and how her posture lacks confidence. Sometimes it takes glamming a person up to bring out that inner diva. I wish they had followed up this video with a picture from her prom. I hope she had a great time on her special day. She reminds me of my eldest.

Omg if I saw that dress at my prom I would have thought she got it like at JC Penney or something. Maybe Forever 21 at most. Very forgettable, sucks they probably paid wayy too much for it.

Many dresses are meant to look VINTAGE, a dress with true history! Not necessarily just to show off your curves.

When she said black with keyhole I immediately thought of Lauren Becall, look up her photos, she wore something similar in one of her movies and it certainly was a standout. I found it odd when they asked her what she had in mind and she said long black with a key hole and they said "does it have to be long"? "are you particular on the colour"?

The shop keepers were just trying to get rid of the first dress. Kind of trying to guilt her into buying it. She did a pretty good job of subtly telling them off. The second dress was nice. I think they had a smaller budget. Thus the lackluster.

I didn't care for either dress on her. I think she chose the second one because of the pressure from the group to make a decision. They should have chosen something a little more elegant and simple. The second dress was not awe inspiring or jaw dropping and think that's what she was going for.

I worked in a store years ago, and a social worker brought in a young high school girl to get a prom dress. The state was paying for it and she picked out the most expensive one.

Compared to how many girls go for EXTRAVAGANT, nobody is going to be jealous of that dress unless you are going to a catholic prom.

That dress likes basic and didn’t fit her body Oh at all. I do think people should be free to wear whatever and be comfortable but let’s not deny the fact that some things do and DON’T look good on some people.

I really don't like it how they handle her disliking of the first dress. She didn't like it right away, so they didn't have to ask her all about what you don't like and so on...if you're looking for a special dress, you should fancy it right away, perfect or not, and if your first impression is a no-no, then just move on right away, there's so much other choice.

That’s something I would wear for eh.. I wouldn’t put this on unless maybe I had no clothes left. Looks like a night beach dress but not in a nice way. Sorry unless her classmates are all low of budget and buy their clothes in 1$ store or supermarket they won’t be jealous of that. The only thing that may save it is that the girl is very pretty, has a nice figure and maybe with some jewelry and nice shoes and purse she may make it work or. But seriously she could have done much better.
