I am becoming more and more a fan of Lewis Le Val. I like his calm, gentle way of guiding the spectator into an experience. It’s not about him, or feeding his ego, or freaking his spectators out, but more about giving them an experience that will stay with them. And The 1914 continues to really release wonderful, well thought out tools for mentalists. At first, I didn’t think Iris was for me. But after a couple of purchases from The 1914, (Eclipse and Orphic), and after seeing this full performance, I think I may have to reconsider that and order Iris for myself.

Not quite sure what the little business cards and their words have to do with this effect. What’s the tie-in?

Hi there, Lewis Le Val here. In the same way the tools of a tarot reader would be their cards, the tool of a pendulum dowser would be a pendulum, the tool I have created for iris readings would be these cards. They allow your sitter to learn a little about what their time of birth might say about their personality, as well as setting a point of focus; an important aspect of their life to concentrate on for the reading. The cards also allow for a process. Our eyes change depending on our emotional state, and this process allows you to apparently bring about this change in their eyes. I liken it to shuffling a deck of tarot cards and having cards selected before the reading begins. Hope that helps!

The trailer was massively misleading. She was told to concentrate on her word and look at him if her word was on each of the 4 listings. She did and her word was “spirituality”. This word was only on two of the listings. Why then did she look at him four times without saying no when the word was only listed twice??
