The fact that she listened to Michael immediately after he told her gentle shows A) she's a really well behaved child and/or B) Michael's a fantastic father.
Michael:*makes sure Iris doesn't pull on Mush's arm* Careful nice gentle. Me: Is this really the man from Rage Quit? Michael: Look at the cat, Look At It! Me: Yup, there he is.
To be fair, most people say it is better to talk to children like adults. I’m pretty sure there was even a study showing it helped their intelligence down the line. I guess access to a larger vocabulary?
Speech impediments are born of people "baby talking" their children. I know a kid who is now about 10 or so and he still talks like a baby because he was baby talked well into his toddler years.
Never gonna talk to my child In a baby tone. They are children, they are human, they learn to talk from observing everyone around them, and trying to mimic us. Baby talking is the worst thing for a child’s growth, what we need o do is maybe talk slower and not dumber so they can get a better understanding of the motions we make with our mouth
I like how Michael makes sure Iris is gentle with Mush. Sometimes parents don't tell their kids how to treat animals right and then wonder why the animals react badly.
@@inflinirator Right, because a child that young will not only remember that single instance of the word cumblr, but will also know what it means and how to use it. Truly Iris is now worse off for having heard that.
And at the beginning. “Look at the camera, dammit”. Love how he’s gone on record saying that his kids just by exposure are gonna learn cusses eventually. May as well be from him
Millie will lead the Gents, Iris will lead the lads, Eli will be a gent and Livy will be a lad. Cause even tho she’s 3rd oldest she’s a younger sibling and more than likely will act like a lad. Tho rn they could have a 2v2
Michael will regret this forever. Now he has two crazy cat ladies in his life who he’ll have to drag away from cats whenever one is spotted. Lol can’t wait for him to complain about this 😂
@@sxtxrnxd I always love that huge split were theres more girls than boys in a family or the other way around. It just makes for awesome chaotic energy but then again a lot of love either way.
"Look at the camera, damn it." Something tells me in a future podcast Michael is going to share a story about Iris swearing in school and I am going to love every second of it. Michael's a good dad.
The last time I saw Iris on camera she was just a little baby who didn't even react when Michael was dancing with her. The last time I saw a cat on the rooster teeth Channel was Joe the cat.
She looks so much like Michael >.> and I love burnie idea, handle the cat a lot so it's used to it so you can grab him without problem. Kinda like Joe the cat.
Burnie is definitely right on the money there. I touch my cats all the time, petting, stroking, squeezing. Picking them up for no reason. Etc. Wish I could get my parents to do the same, so they'd get used to other people doing it too. Cause if it's just one person doing it, they learn to accept it only from that person...
Michael is both sweet and sour "Look at the camera dammit" "Hey! Gentle...gentle..." Such an awesome thing watching kids grow up. My own 2 are as equally fun as they are stressful. The balance is perfect...but god dammit I wish for more fun and less stress
@@ona512 in this context it just means that they want kids from watching this. It's a common phrase from females but it can mean different things depending on the context. 😊
Every time I see this, I think about how badly Lindsey wants a cat, and now Iris loves cats, and you just know that their new baby is probably in love with cats...one day Michael is gonna break and they will adopt a cat. They probably love visiting Gavin cause of his cat.
It's just amazing seeing how far things have come. I don't really watch RT as much as I used to, but I remember Michael when he was basically still a kid, and we all fondly remember Joe the Cat's occasional podcast appearance. Now to see Michael with Iris, and baby Mush; it brings tears to my eyes. When you see something/someone that was so influential to your life growing up, growing up with you right in front of your eyes, it's a beautiful thing.
