Oh man, I wish my husband and I could afford to move to Ireland. My father's side of the family is from there. He and my mom visited back in the 1990's and they fell in love with it. Such an adorable home!
Hi Nikkion! Thank you! And you are absolutely right it is a beautiful home. There's more on the way also! Stay tuned ok? Kindest regards Michael Lavelle Estate Agents
Lol, as someone pointed out to me in Ireland when I said how lovely his lilting accent was, 'It you has the accent, I'm here speaking as we speak in Ireland,' That told me....🤣
Hi Ramadhan! Great to hear to hear that you are enjoying from so far away!!! Thank you for your mesage as well!! Kindest Regards, Michael Lavelle Estate Agents
I really like that living room. It is cozy and welcoming and unlike most places I view, the light fixtures are lovely and would not need replacing! I even like the curtains. Too bad I live half a world away!
How are you? Super comment, thank you! And if you ever decide to live on this side of the world let us know!!! Kindest regards Michael Lavelle Estate Agents

Wish I could find a small home like this. I’m in USA, and looking for a small place like this but to get a small place it’s usually a trailer or on wheels. Not an actual home like this is. Love the paved back garden as mowing, weeding, and other lawn care is too hard for me now. But nice potted plants I can do.
We live in a century farmhouse in Ontario, Canada. We have one bathroom, located on the main floor. 3 bedrooms upstairs. My 89 yr old mother trots up and down every night.
Except for that 20 year old refrigerator that looks like it belongs in a charity shop. There isn't much room for eating, that's a very small table you certainly could not have company over for sit down dinner.
So charming and cozy, the older I get, the less space I realize I need. Really cute. Would be great for a single person or a couple. The upstairs room would even be a lovely office for remote working.
Hi Valerie You have it in one! We fully agree 👍 Especially where you highlight that there is a cycle to property/home ownership and how a home should serve a person....and not the other way around! Many kind regards Michael Lavelle Estate Agents Dundalk
Hi Eliza It is adorable...we fully agree! Thankyou for commenting and stay tuned won't you? More on the way! Kindest regards Michael Lavelle Estate Agents

Hello from Texas! This is a lovely little place. I'm curious at what happens in the tiled back yard when it rains? Is there a possibility of the house flooding?
Hi, I’m originally a Texan too! If you notice on the outside of the back door there are two drain pipes that pour into a drain hole in the ground. (don’t know the technical terms). Also the back yard is on a small slope away from the back door. That should keep the rain out. Ireland is hilly, so they’re mastered these solutions.
Hi Elsa! Ehhhh well, can we just say how lovely and nice of you to comment!? 😃 😊 (Just to keep the theme up!) Did you enjoy viewing anyway?! Many thanks for tuning in...check out some other tours and see how we do! Kindest regards Michael Lavelle Estate Agents Dundalk
Hi Lillian We full agree! And a price of €150,000 should be quite agreeable too!... a charming home for a buyer to make their own! Kindest regards Michael Lavelle Estate Agents
Hi Hablin! I'm sure there are folks who have even returned to the scullery days as a form of lifestyle living. The trend to retro perhaps. But you're right...a super little home, cosy and well adapted to a more comfortable modern life! Thanks for your comment! Kindest regards Michael Lavelle Estate Agents Dundalk
@@Im_so_Retro85 Depends on where you live but where I live you can buy a nice 4 bedroom home with a big yard and an attached 2 car garage for that price. It's Euros so in USD it would be closer to $170,000. Sure in NYC you're not going to get much for that price but in many places you would get a very nice house, not a cottage. I'm surprised in this little town in Ireland they would get that kind of price?
@@Im_so_Retro85 I'm sorry to hear that. There used to be some areas of FL that had a reasonable cost of living. I live in WI, I'm not sure what it's like in the Madison or Milwaukee areas but in the rest of the state you can still get a pretty decent sized home for that kind of money. If you wanted property on a lake it would be a much smaller house because you're paying for the location.
The location on a quiet street within walking distance to shopping and trains is a big benefit. Is there parking on the lane behind the back garden? The house has charm, and there's room for a single or couple with a child. If I were looking in the area, this would be on my list!
I love this property can you tell me can I buy a property in Ireland as this is something that I would like to do and to live in Ireland permanently I have a Irish passport as my dad was born in Ireland can you tell me is this possible I own my house in the Uk mortgage free
I think it's quite quaint.. of course I live in the United States so that be a little far run for me to get there lol... If I lived there and bought it I think I would try to add a half bath upstairs.. and the price is really good in the United States that would be about $200,000
Hi Carolynek Always great to hear comments and ideas! Thank you for tuning in! Let's see what else we have for you..so stay tuned! Kindest regards Michael Lavelle Estate Agents
Lovely home and demonstration by you. Can you please mention the price? I don’t live in Ireland, but I am very close to retirement and I want something small and well located near Dublin. Thanks so much! ☺️ 🇺🇸
Hi Chris ...Great Description! We might use that at some stage...definitely suits this home!!! Thankyou for viewing and commenting Kindest regards Michael Lavelle Estate Agents Dundalk
If I were buying, I’d take down the wall into that downstairs bedroom and open up to the kitchen, and use it as a dining room. And make the property into a one bedroom house. It’s price is about $200k in Canadian dollars. Now I have to Google and see where Dundalk is.

There is a space for that in the kitchen next to the sink. That's pretty standard for England and Ireland I believe. I'm in the US. That house would cost about $450,000 where I live near Seattle :(
A lot of them are historic. Before the extreme mass production of items a average person could obtain. You either make it or had to search high and low and have good coin for what you needed. If it wasn't a need, then why build extra space for it? Even the newer homes tend to keep small. Plus space itself is a commodity. Like NYC, most places are small, to fit more (ironic sounding) people in. Humans are also taller and bigger then we used to be. We need a bit more spread room now. These are probably not the only reasons, but it is a good piece of the puzzle.
@@Kagome12987Also it woukd have been quite cramped as a couple in those days would have quite a few children and that would be usual. Not just in Ireland but in many countries too. I know someone , sadly passed now who had a family of 18 people, 2 adults and the rest were their children. All living in a tiny 2 bedroomed cottage on Streatham Common. As soon as one any of them were old enough to get a job they would move out and find lodgings elsewhere and still, if they could, send a bit of money home.

I couldn't live in a house that has zero yard of any grass. And to have the front of my house sit smack dab on the sidewalk, just feet from the road. No privacy at all. The back area (can't call that a yard or garden) is ugly as sin.
Hi Florence The price is €150,000 and we place the pricing in the description box along with links back to property on our website. Just so that you know for future tours if interested! Thankyou for viewing Kindest regards Michael Lavelle Estate Agents
