IcedCoffee my downstairs neighbors party loudly all night long on weird days like Tuesday. They yell off the balcony like they live in the middle of nowhere with neighbors a mile away. They wake me up and keep me up. Sometimes they shake the ground like their fighting. I live in nice apartments too. Anyways, I may take up Irish dancing. I’ll start practicing at seven or eight am. That should be awful for them since they go to bed at 4am. Thank you for the idea!
Here am I an elderly lady partly bedridden ,laying here in my bed watching and listening to this masterpiece ,,,,AND I, CAN'T KEEP,MY FEET STILLLOLSURELY THIS is worth watching ?
Allthough I'm Greek and I live in Greece, I' ve been in Irland five times. I love this amazing country with amazing people. I''ll never get tired of making trips there.!!!!
БРАВО!!!!! это какая-то магия, волшебство! Сколько труда вложили, что б так двигаться! Когда талант есть, то раздеваться не нужно. Вот это и есть талант!
Celtic FC were playing in Seville. Some of the Celtic travelling fans’ wives/ girlfriends wore home-made flamenco-Style dresses in the green and white stripes of Celtic.
Belly dancing has nothing on this. I did this for 6 years along with ballet jazz and hip hop. Let me tell you even runners ain't got nothing on the calves of an Irish dancer.
Tatazuki it takes a looong time, I’ve been doing this for 9 years, and obviously it’s hard when you first start, but now, its still kinda hard but I learned the basic stuff already
As a tap dancer, I can say I’m honestly at a loss for words. I still don’t understand how they do this. At some point it’s just muscle memory but to do it that fast, takes so much time.
Очень нравятся ирландские танцы. Когда девочки перемещаются по сцене, кажется, что они летают, как красивые бабочки. А в исполнении профессионалов вообще супер!
"Seek the LORD while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near." - Isaiah 55:6 Yeshua replied to His disciples: "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." - John 14:6 "For there is only one God, and only one mediator between God and menkind; the Man Christ Jesus who gave His life as a ransom for all." - 1 Timothy 2:5 "Seek peace with all men and HOLYNESS, without which no one will see God." - Hebrews 12:14 "Therefore submit yourselves to The Creator, resist the devil and he will flee from you." - James 4:7
I hate everything about this video, I’m and Irish dancer. I know about flooring with hard shoes if I were to dance on that floor it would have a totally different sound. That sound is them dancing on wood not whatever that is
Happy St. Patrick's Day! God bless Ireland. Their culture is amazing. P.S. Without this video, I wouldn't know that human is able to move their legs like this!
It's like they can unhinge their ankles & whip their feet about in ways that bones, tendons & ligaments shouldn't be able to do & do it so rhythmically! Very fascinating & fun to watch!
My Ethnic makeup is extremely Irish !!! My cousins still live in Northern Ireland 🇮🇪 in Donegal!!!! We, O'Donnell's,Brennan, Castagne, and Doyle's, are so grateful for the opportunity to see this amazing representation of the Irish culture
Iam not Irishman nor British .I becam mad when i see the girls dansing like elfs and how beautiful they are all of them And i think l like the music as well !
It only just hit me why I find Riverdancing so cool, besides the obvious. The sound that they build up takes precision and skill but when you have a dozen or more people replicating the steps it comes to sound like a train barreling down the tracks. It becomes its own force of nature and it is only with the same skill to make the sound that the dancers manage to rein it in and direct the potential chaotic energies into something controlled. It is very much like trying to navigate down a wild river in a canoe or on a raft. The accompaniment from the drums and fiddles provides a sense of adventure and danger, and the punctuated steps are like man’s sparks of clarity in the midst of chaos. He learns to work with the energy in order to come out safely at the end.
Riverdancing is probably the only dancing that i Truly respect. The fluent movements, the rhythm and just the insane level of control to not trip over themselves, and they don't even dance To the music, they Make the music... it's simply amazing.
I am from Africa but always fascinated by Irish tap dance. My goodness! That is the most marvelous and genius dance move. Never get tired of watching them!!!
It's fun to dance an Irish jig. It's exercise and very fun once you get it. Scottish dancing is a great arm work out. Clogging is loud and fun too. Should definitely try them. :) Making music with your feet and heart.
you might be surprised how many dances you have in common - because we all have shared dancing with our cultures for centuries. I dont think people realize how many movements in their "traditional" dances actually come from the sharing that happens over time. It's not bad - i Just think if you look closely at the dances where you are from - you might find something similar. I just watched a very interesting documentary about Irish Dancing. If you're fascinated - you should, too! 😃
I don’t know if I could sit through a whole show of it but I have nothing but 100% respect for the talent and showmanship and how many hours they must put into it. Not a best out of place. God bless them for the joy they bring to people
Any Irish American here whos at least 50% irish? I have so many families on both my parents sides that came from Ireland. Most in the last century or two. Older people in my family came here in 1948 who speaks with a brogue. My great great grandfather came from Armagh, Ireland in 1892.
My grandfather was from Ireland, I was raised a good Irish Catholic and remember this kind of music growing up, still remember some of the songs and sing them to my kids and grandkids to keep our heritage alive.
WATCHING THIS ON RU-vid OR ON TV IS MARVELOUS.. BUT YOU REALLY HAVE TO BE IN A THEATER TO SEE THIS LIVE AND NOT ONLY SEE AND HEAR THIS, BUT ACTUALLY FEEL THEIR POWER AND RYTHMS, AND EXPERIENCE THE EMOTIONS. AFTER THE SHOW I WAS STUNNED SPEECHLESS.
This video just reminds me of a time where I used to do irish dance, I was so close to performing when I stopped because I felt I wasn’t good enough. I wish I would’ve stuck with it and maybe I would’ve ended up like this. Now looking at this reminds me of how much I used to love it, I used to perform on stage with all my friends cheering me on, I used to train every day and have a goals. I wish I didn’t stop trying.
From Ireland. My advice is just stop! Stop the wishing, stop wanting to be perfect. Stop comparing yourself to the impossible. These dancers are the best in the world , enjoy watching them. just dance in your kitchen, or keep taking classes, if you love it.Meanwhile, if you even see this, and are a bit fed up and going nowhere, there's only now. Here's a couple of dance videos to cheer you up -- ( well, not strictly dance perfect, more trying and not trying). 1 old, 1 young. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zSUHkWd44vU.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b03HDnyZCeM.html
I don't think there were any tap dancing tradition in the entire Asian Continent, for some odd reason. perhaps because they did not have hard soled shoes?
Wonderful that this form of dance is so accepted nowadays. In years gone by, in 17C, 18C, and early 19C this was outlawed by the ruling British empire state, as was the playing / singing of traditional Irish music / songs. To be caught meant imprisonment, deportation or death!
People are finally getting tired of hearing the same hit songs over and over again everywhere they go. It's good that Irish people have preserved this ancient art form, so that now we can enjoy it
Sadly all British History is fill of Serial Killers re Henry the Eighth and greedy Fortune builders who were self centered excuses for human Beings, As was the rest of the world but the worst must be The Crouts But Its not the ordinary people its the Scum who get into high places full of greed at any cost Its brilliant that The irish have kept the Best Of their Traditions like this unique Dancing
Me emociona profundamente y sobremanera el folclore irlandés así como el escocés …soy español pero siento que en algunas existencias pasadas viví en las islas británicas y en Irlanda. Es maravilloso y electrizante.
+Catey Evers wanna know the funny part of why they dance like this? My mom told me that dancing was once banned in Ireland a long time ago. So in secrecy, people would line themselves up behind a rock fence and would ONLY dance with their feet. So whenever other people that were passing by would see them, they thought that they were jumping for whatever reason.
A female friend of mine from England once taught me to tap dance to the tune of 'congratulation'. I still remember how to do it. Hi (MW) if you are out there. 😊
I forgot how much I loved Irish Step Dancing! I have friends who do this, and the reason I love watching it is because as a percussionist, the rhythms and keeping in time with the music so flawlessly is fascinating, especially since I'm a klutz with my feet. Maria Stenske
Wow! We're very much alike. I love the percussive quality of it too, which is why I liked the zapateo sections a lot when I used to do flamenco. :) I wish I had done Irish dance too though.
From an Aussie. Love Irish dancing and music, have strong Irish back ground,my great grandmother came out from Ireland during the great potato famine to Australia.
xUniversalxMidnightx I’m not Irish but I tap every where I go because wants you start dance like this it always sticks in your head cuz your practice for hours each day
Obviously, not all Irish people can dance like this. It takes a special few, to really master the necessary skills. Especially, if they want to get to a truly professional level. Most of the professional dancers, started quite young & worked their way up the skills rank. It does take years to fully master.
