@@JirkaHajek 🤗 I've been thinking ... for months ... about buying a lyre. This one sounds beautiful. I've seen in the comments that you use a combination of steel strings for acoustic guitar. Could you please tell me what kind of strings you put on your lyre ? I'm not a guitar player and I don't want to make a mistake with the strings I'll buy ( too thick or too thin ). And which notes ? Thank you 😊

I dont know :) I think it was because strings was completely new.. it takes time stay in tune..it's absolutely ok now :)

Hi Phil, you can play with fingernails or just fingers. It has more louder sound when you play it with nails. But it doesn't matter :)

@@JirkaHajek only things I'm not making is the grommets and strings. Figuring out how to make the tuning pins is the hardest part so far. I may just end up with a pretty wall decoration lol.

You can buy set of 10 strings for lyre but I use just a combination of steel strings for acoustic guitar :)

well..it is just the cheapest model of lyre style instrument you can get :) But for the money it sounds quite nice.

@@JirkaHajek An article, however cheap, must in any case do what it is being sold for. It is not acceptable that you cannot tune (the strings loosen again visibly!) And the sound is little more than that produced by a plastic toy.

@@cpt.marley Thanks for you opinion Cpt. Marley :) To the sound... all my instruments sounds "horrible" and yet I love their sound. I think it really depends on what sound you are looking for. Lyre will never sound like piano or big concert harp and tagelharpa will never sound like violin. These instruments are just beautiful in their imperfections... And to the tuning of this lyre... it takes a while for the strings to stop detuning. I have no problems with it now. And I would like one thing to be clear. I don't sell these instruments, I just own it and play it, and I never told that this instrument is perfect and you should buy it. :)
