You know what's awesome about this scene the punisher starts yelling to get his heart rate up and get adrenaline going in his body so the paints not as bad which is something he did in the comics

want to give credits to Tony Curran for bein' one of the greatest irish mobsters on screen i've ever seen, and he earned this title in only ONE EPISODE, what an actor
Finn Cooley was pretty good in the show, solid actor... but since in the comic PunisherMax by Garth Ennis, he was my absolute favorite Irish mobster from the *"Kitchen Irish"* storyline, this adaptation was very lacking. Hell, he is in my top 3 favorite PunisherMAX villains, so I wish he could have come back in the Punisher show, with his iconic mask and messed up face (due to the shotgun blast in the show, and due to and explosion in the comics) That would have been so badass, but hey, they made John Pilgrim cooler (IMHO) in the show, so it's a decent trade-off. Billy Russo was also better in that show than in most of his comic book appearance, even if he had some great arcs like in *"Punisher: In the Blood"* ... Billy had a great season 1, but season 2 was, I don't know, he was good but he was lacking something. When it comes to William Rawlins, aka Agent Orange, he was so different in Ennis' Punisher run than what he was in the show, there's barely any connection... well, aside from losing his eye because of Frank and eventually getting killed by him. I liked him better in the comic, as the pure evil, depraved snake that he was. In the show he felt more like just another pogue. A sadistic bastard and all, but...

Something I’ve noticed in both the comics an the shows is that the villains are always tough and can usually inflict pain on The Punisher only when he’s tied up but when he’s lose he makes quick work of them
What’s cool about Frank is that he doesn’t take pain killers because they lower his reaction speed, so he’d rather be in constant pain than put himself at a disadvantage.
More like if he didn't feel pain, painkillers have severe side effects that would impact negativelly on his combat skill and reaction time, that's why he never takes them.

In which comics does he do that? I've read every Punisher story out there (starting with the entire Garth Ennis collection, then moved on to other stuff), and I don't remember Frank ever willingly letting criminals hurt him just to get closer...
It's so amazing that when you think about who will play a character you can't imagine how good they will be until they play that character and you can't imagine anyone else doing it
Notice how when the guys punching Frank in the beginning, he doesn’t move an inch. He grunts and stays perfectly still. Even with the shots to the head.
I'm extremely pissed off that they didn't do a third series' of punisher it was gritty realistic and showed how marvel can portray a man who's Lost and become a hero with his own agenda 🤟😊👍
Tony Curran didn't play Leonardo Da Vinci in Dr Who... he played Vincent Van Gogh though. And when it comes to comic book character, he more recently played Despero in "the Flash" crossover that started season 8. (And he was in "Thor: The Dark World" , as Bor)

You know what’s crazy about this? The Punisher is so manipulative, he made a mob boss BELIEVE that he was going to tell him where the money is, but then went ahead and head butted him, causing the mob boss’ nose to break. Frank managed to convince him that he couldn’t take anymore damage, only to break the man’s nose and take even more damage by getting tortured. This Punisher is a badass and needs to officially be brought back into the MCU.

That motherfucker looked at the guy who’s about the torture him with a drill and said « Are you gonna do it or are you gonna talk about it? » right after refusing painkillers. It’s such a Frank Castle moment. Jon Bernthal really owns this character.
Since the actor plays Van Gogh in Doctor Who, now i will never see this scene as "Irish Mobster tortures Frank" but instead as "Van Gogh tortures Frank".
If Punisher continued, we would see Finn Cooley with no face, coming back for revenge. He survived worse than a shotgun blast to the face in the comics and I know how ridiculous that sounds. Punisher bads have a tendency to be hard to kill beyond reason, even if only human. Would have been great!
I wish they would’ve had season 3 of punisher and bring back Finn Cooley. If you know him, you know a shotgun blast point blank would mean jack shit when he got half of his face blown off from his own bomb in the comics.
In the comics, Punisher has a machine that breaks baseball bats on his body, to train Frank Castle to absorb pain. Imagine hitting The Punisher with a baseball bat and that sh★t just breaks 😭😭
