Hell, I'm half persian, half turkish, and raised in the US and I have always loved Celtic music as well as all other forms. All people should have a basic love for all cultures of music, because that's where each and every one of us comes from

Irish have a good Catholic Heritage, so, they make good music. Irish Catholicism truly cultivated the best out of their heritage and this includes a lot of variations, trills, and good exciting and uplifting notes that makes Irish music so well loved -- even today, even though some people try rocking it up and making it sound annoying. In my opinion, nothing beats an old Irish tune with a pipe, a harp, a lute, a bodhran, and a bagpipe -- nothing. Except Catholic polyphonic chant. That beats everything. :) Have a good day. All my hobbies have to do with music and the arts, and I love fantasy, and the Irish are famous for their music, dance, and mythology, and I am nearly completely Irish. In other words, this stuff is in our blood! :D
