Darren and Ciara are such a perfect duo, Ciara is really knowledgeable about a lot of types of alcohol and cocktails (her solo channel is great!) and approaches drinks with an open mind, and Darren filling in some of the gaps in her knowledge around specifically whisk(e)y is a delight.

If you do visit Kentucky, I'd suggest either late spring when everything is green and growing, but it hasn't gotten too hot, or mid-fall when the trees are all changing colors. The Whiskey will be equally delicious either time, but you might as well enjoy the countryside while you are there!

I live in Kentucky and one of my favorite Woodford's was a Sonoma Cutrer finish that was aged for an additional 4 months in chardonnay barrels. It was the 2nd masters collection they did and it was so good.

I have not had a drink since around 2000, not due to a problem just was never a big thing for me, but watching these videos, especially the whiskey shoots, always puts a little thought in the back of my mind to try these items myself. I went to the Woodford Reserve distillery a few years ago. Very cool tour. They still roll barrels on rails like they did 100 years ago. You see the barrels just roll by between the buildings.

OK - it's official. This is now my second FAVORITE Try video about whiskey. The first ... of course ... is Martin and Dermot, wearing sunglasses, and giving us (after due consideration) ... TEN out of TEN!. That said ... Darren as the "Whiskey Expert" - glasses and all - fabulous - just fabulous ... paired with the ever lovely and entertaining Whiskey Queen Ciara? Priceless. Woodford Reserve is the drink of choice of my former boss. I got him the largest size that they sell at Costco for him for his birthday one year. I don't like Whiskey nor Bourbon, but I do appreciate that there is a whole genre of people who know everything about those alcohols and have tasting parties and just go nutso over them 😂🤣Thanx for this!

Whiskey distillery are tours are a thing now in Kentucky. They are heavily promoted by the state. Groups taking tourbus guided trips are also very common. The bulk of the distillery are around the Lexington area. There are a few in the west of the state but not near as many. Something i learned this year was as prohibition swept over America Tennessee actually went dry earlier than Kentucky or the 18 th amendment passed. And for a time Jack Daniels was made in Hopkinsville Kentucky.

I think you'd enjoy a trip to Kentucky and distillery tours. I hope you go! I lived near Louisville over four years. It was cool to have access to so many different bourbons. Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is was my favorite.
