This is the coolest introduction I think they could’ve pulled off. Just the stars fading off as you realize it’s just blood, and Mark slowly rising out of it all drenched is just perfection
@@Meepie_Playz It’s totally fair to critique and look back on things that could’ve been done better, but it hasn’t even come out yet. Let’s at least give it a chance to see what he can do before hating on it, okay? You might even be surprised! But if not, then alright you can hate it as much as you’d like
@@wenterinfaer1656you don’t have to hope. It will “flop” (flip flop is not the term you use here) when you tubers try to cross over into movies or TV its pretty much always horrible…
hollywood needs to take notes cause u can tell they’re struggling with ideas recently for horror movies , mark is such a creative genius i just know this is gonna be good.
@@mulqueen2023I mean I think the trailer alone perfectly encapsulates how it feels to be in IRON LUNG, how many Hollywood trailers would do something so small yet so impactful? They probably woulda tossed in some big name celebrities to attract people and give it more exposition than what the movie needs
In order to maintain authenticity with the game, not only did Mark liquify trillions of humans to create an ocean of blood, he also caused every inhabitable planet, their related star, and the attached populations to disappear That's commitment!
The blood looks a lot like a runny TV gunge or slime. Either way, much better than red water blood. It looks great as blood. For those who are curious, the most common recipe (in the UK) is water and powder paint, with a plant-based cellulose thickener.
I know I'm late to viewing the trailer. But can we appreciate how this man went from making a funny, low-budget Slender downfall skit all the way to a movie featuring film? That is nuts!
@@Nukacokacola That moment when you're so hyped for something that you start spouting nonsense, but it doesn't matter because you're too hyped to care 💀
Imagine being David Szymanski right now. Having one of your indie horror games with around a 1 hour runtime, make such an impact on an incredibly huge youtuber to such an extent so that it is now being adapted into a fully fledged movie. Must be such a crazy feeling. Congrats to David.
@OfficerBMTidc if your a troll . Thats just really uncalled for. Anyways are you young? If so I got a friend for you. He may also be in the nether but you could meet him there. His name is Jeffery Epstein.
Mark. Your dad would be so proud of where you've come today. You're happy, stable, donating millions to charity every year and making films. Your dad would be so proud and happy to have you as his son
this feels like it's crossing such a major boundary in a parasocial relationship. you didn't know his father and you don't know him, so this is an incredibly inappropriate thing to say.
Same here, I keep checking it every month or so, lol. Sometimes I'll see a trailer, and my interest kind of wanes a little after a while, but I've been consistently pumped about this movie since it was announced.
I had two important thoughts run through my head: This is so freaking awesome, and I'm very proud of how far Mark has come. Iron Lung is an amazing choice to expand the lore with, through a movie. And... THAT explains the fake-blood-in-the-eyes incident.
It’s insane that mark went from playing horror games for fun in 2017 to being one of the biggest RU-vidrs and having a movie that millions are all dying to watch
Good shit. Trailer doesn't give away half the movie, the stars to blood transition is ingenius, and who we *assume* to be the MC is obscured in blood which makes you wonder how he'll look in the movie. Impressive. Our expectations have been set.
Especially for people who don't know Markiplier but are seeing the movie, he doesn't use his face or his name to promote it. When people do that, it makes non-fans not want to see it. But he's fully obscured and you can only even tell it's him at certain angles, the name "Markiplier" is nowhere to be seen on the cover or anywhere promoting it that I've seen, and he only even really mentions it in passing on his RU-vid channel
I appreciate not only the aesthetics (BECAUSE DANG THE AESTHETICS!!!), but also appreciate that this trailer isn't a bunch of clips of the movie itself slammed together. I love it being mysterious in this way, it's SO GOOD
As a Player who plays Barotrauma (Iron Lung but Its gameplaywise More fun game[But It doesnt focuses on HORROR part, It focuses on Survival Part]) This one that Mark and other ppl cooking looks VERY GOOD. Lets see it soon!
Considering the amount of time JUST needed for books/screenplays this is really quite an advanced timeline and you should be really proud that you guys are getting close to the finish
I’m so grateful to be in a point of time in the 21st century where people like Mark can show how truly dedicated and talented they are. People like mark are the pillars of RU-vid and even our childhood. We’re proud of you Mark!
I have to be completely honest, my first thought was "Well no wonder he got the fake blood in his eyes and ears!" Truly though this looks absolutely AMAZING! This gave chills down the spine, and made me sooooo pumped for the movie! Great job Mark and great job to the game devs of Iron Lung to start this spark of inspiration!
This is phenomenal. I'm so excited. Passion pours out of the screen with everything Mark creates, and his love for this game means he will absolutely bring it. This gave me goosebumps. I can't wait
I love how this trailer is done. It reveals almost nothing, keeping the premise a mystery, yet absolutely sending chills down my spine. Unless of course you've played the game, but even then it's still great.
Even if you've played the game, the premise of this movie might still be a mystery. All we know is that it is based on the Iron Lung game. That doesn't mean it will directly follow the same story, so there might be a lot of new things we will see in this movie.
Y'know, most trailers for horror movies I've seen recently have rambling speeches that are just made to sound cool and don't really mean much. This one not only sounds cool but actually makes sense in the Iron Lung setting. I can't wait for this movie.
Update update: Mark recently said he's navigating the release structure right now and isn't sure about how wide the release will be, but hopefully that means a date is coming soon!
This is probably what put him in hospital with red eyes 😂 but oh my god the cinematic feel of it makes that worth it. Always proud of you mark!! CANT WAIT TO SEE THIS AHHH
@@shiyon8947 iirc they looked into using real blood, but decided against it real blood doesn't look very good on camera, and oxidizes really quickly, so isn't good for multiple takes
The infamous scene that sent Markiplier to the hospital! So much blood! 😂 jokes aside, this looks so dope and I can’t wait to see it. Congratulations, Mark!!
I am literally still so excited, I want to see this movie more than anything, I have such high hopes for it, this is one of my favorite games, and I can't wait to see how it gets flipped into a full length film.
WE'RE SO PROUD OF YOU MARK!!! THIS IS GONNA BE HELLA GOOD. edit: im not being one of those people who thanks everyone for likes, but i am shocked at the amount and I'm a little scared what happened here edit 2: yayyy im not the second most liked anymore, thank you guys :D /gen (genuine)
Having your own horror game displayed on a massive RU-vidr's channel is already crazy enough, but having your game being turned into a whole entire movie displayed at the theater is enough to make someone pass out from disbelief. Good job, Mark. You just made someone's whole life :)
The fact that Markiplier can somehow make himself the main character horrifying to a horror movie shows that this is going to be the movie of the century.
I dunno about "movie of the century", but this does look like it's gonna be a good horror film unlike MANY horror films (or horror anything, for that matter) to come out in a long, long time.
@@gabriel897100bro have you seen his other projects? his acting is great! plus if you're a RU-vidr, I think it's a given to have good acting skills probably🤷
I have watched this like a million times now, and I can't help but to keep watching it. I love how dark it is, and the entire idea. The voice and what they say is so cool, too! Can't wait to finally watch the movie when released!
This is absolutely amazing, Mark! And yes, even my cousin was like “This is how Mark got his eyes infected, lmao.” I’m glad that’s sorted out and we appreciate all you and your everyone else who’s involved’s hard work in this! I hope all goes well! We’re so proud of you, Mark. 🥰
You gotta think, he probably played for literal hours, and cut down that footage to 30 minutes, edit it, sound design, all the good stuff. This was a good chunk of this man's time, I imagine
And this is why RU-vidrs and content creators are thriving while Hollywood is crashing and burning BECAUSE RU-vidrs are willing to as Mrs frizzle said “take chances make mistakes and get messy” while Hollywood wants to play it safe and only do reboots, sequels, and prequels for already established titles The fact that mark, jack, Mr beast and other RU-vidrs are all a part of it is definitely saying something
I haven't watch your videos in years but catching wind of your movie, this looks great. Congratulations and looking forward to it! Loved the game excited to watch your adaptation.
The music in this trailer is what I want more of in horror games and movies. No screeching orchestras, no loud noises... just warbling uneasy notes that accentuate how alone and helpless you are. Fucking stellar work. Edit: How has this comment blown up?!
@@GPotatoGD I began to play dusk thanks to this comment, so thank you That's not the kind of game I play most of the time, but the nostalgic vide doom/quake like and the music make me really like the game
All aboard the bloody HYPE TRAIN! Mark you're an absolute legend and we're all so proud of you! You absolutely kill it in the realm of creating art. This is going to be phenomenal.
Holy shit that was epic. Also, this made me think about the game and how it was somewhat short. Wondering if there was more to explore or more added on after. Would be cool if Mark and the maker of iron lung(the game) got together for this. They might have but I don't know
The movie is a collaborative effort between Mark and The maker of the game, as far as I know. Looking forward to it building the lore and clearing up some stuff!
at first i was skeptical. i thought "how is a less than an hour-long game that takes place entirely within the confines of a claustrophobic submarine gonna be turned into a full movie?" but now i am seriously hyped for it. markiplier is better at making films than most production companies, so i think we already know it's gonna be good.
@VeritabIlIti well I meant without making choices but now that you mentioned it that would be nice. But I would imagine people have a tablet to pick options & majority gets chosen
Just coming back to watch this for the 100th time and I'm always more psyched then the last time. I feel like I need to be pounding my fits on a table yelling IRON LUNG IRON LUNG!
I do honestly love how Mark wanted to make a movie, he based it off an indy video game. Trust me, he's going to start a trend in Hollywood that desperately needs inspo.
I dont know how to feel about that. Remember, if any of those studios that make shitty horror movies get their grubby hands on indie games, they will definitely ruin them
I mean you got like a RU-vidr, actor, film director, film producer, film writer, (in my opinion a great singer) Its like the complete package that you could want, Mark is truly an incredible person
I am SO glad that this was how he chose to make the trailer. That note is just… absolutely phenomenal. It puts an even more deadly weight on the atmosphere than you already feel from the start. If I’m honest? It’s one of my favorite notes in a horror game to find. Reading that was the moment I felt like I was really at the bottom of a bloody ocean.
mark is living his main character moment, and im so proud of him. He's been such a role model and someone i looked and still look up to since 2013. I'm so happy hes getting to live his dreams.
I am so excited for this movie and I’m sure everyone is saying this but can’t help feel so proud of Mark. For all his accomplishments and watching him come so far as to even be in a movie. This is insane and I can’t wait to watch it and see what other projects you have lined up ❤️
@@weewatt6044It's part of this stupid thing going on called UTTP ( u tube troll police ) where they are against all fandoms and are just going to comment sections and spamming hate comments
im just now watching this and i have to say ive never used the term cool on a trailer mark you and your team have out done yourselves the final stretch i cant wait to watch this movie it gave me goosebumps ill watch this again its a must SO COOL
This is how you know someone is a true creator / creative person. Mark was so inspired by a 30 min game that he decided to make a movie about it. And also it shows how creative the game is the more you think about it. It leaves you wondering. And nothing is more satisfying than possibly answering what more there is in the world of the Iron Lung.
Mark, once again, is proving himself to be an incredible force of nature, and one of this generation’s most unique, capable, and incredible creators. We are always so proud of you, Mark, and everything you are.
This is unbeliavable. Mark, I really hope that this movie does well, being a youtuber and still being able to act in a movie at the same time, its insane. Best of luck!
I keep checking back for the release date. I know mark has been discouraged by other projects in the past so we need to show up and show out when this movie drops!!🎉
This trailer strangely feels very cosmic horror which is one of my favorite genre. I am so damn excited to see this movie. I'm so proud of how far Mark has come and I'm glad to have stuck with him since 2013. Watching him grow as a person and pursue his passion is so satisfying to see. I look forward to seeing the movie upon release!
The game lore is INCREDIBLY this. The basic idea is that one day. Every habitable planet and star in the entire universe simply vanished. Leaving nothing but ghost light and mirages. And, in one spot, a moon with an ocean of human blood.
@@jonmc6573 I've only watched the first Iron Lung video and part of the update. I didn't get the feel of cosmic horror that much back then. I'm a little picky with what I'd define as a good cosmic horror. (Personal bias of course) I'm not exactly sure how you can be so sure that I have not watched the videos but sure you can say I have not or that I didn't understand.
@@jonmc6573 I should probably add that my view and understanding of cosmic horror has changed significantly from then and now because my fascination grew. The trailer here feels exactly cosmic horror and I loved it. Of course I'll be going back to rewatch Iron Lung gameplay videos for the 3rd time to really get the feel again.
I work at a cinema, and we have a little projector in the lobby to play movie trailers. This is one of em. You've come a long way Mark. I haven't watched you since I was a kid lol, but it's nice to see this as an adult. @@Sam-ni6bcI was a teen when I first watched him, but as a young adult, I don’t think he’s really never stopped peaking, at least when it comes to views. Even on that point though, it’s so amazing to see how his filmmaking has brought him to this point. As an artist myself, it’s very inspiring. And for the reference, yes I watched Markiplier as a preeteen too. I was born in 2004, so I’m still pretty young lmao.
Mark, I'm so proud of you. I've been following your career since you were shouting "shut up, nurse!" and seeing how far you've come and the creations you keep bringing to us brings me joy.
It is terrifying, I had to re watch and pause to see it better, if you look closely at the shadow creeping up on mark as he turns around to face the audience.....looks like big jaws are closing in on him.
@@eranronen573ever see the movie buried with Ryan Reynolds? See that movie did not take long to produce and had a very small budget and did well. Your opinion of “quick” production is idiotic.
This trailer alone has established a greater villian of the Iron Lung story. Not the Frog, or the scaled creature in the picture - but something much more sinister and looming, like a dark empty void, pierced only by hellish storms from every direction, yet somehow just out of reach. 10/10 might go see it
This does answer some questions… as of how you end up in the hospital because some “goo” got into your eyes and ears. Other than that the trailer looks SICK, thank you for sharing this masterpiece Mark.
@@birdee3475 He even talked about it in follow up videos/streams from the hospital pic, he has verbatim said on THIS channel that it was from getting blood in his eyes lmao. Viewer listening retention zero.
