I still remember when this came out, can't believe it's been 20 years . I found out both Bruce and Adrian came back.. I ran to the store and got the cd. sounded just like they never left it sounded like Maiden... Maiden was back and all went back to normal in the world 🤘 up the irons

remember a friend of my mom made me a mix cd with a bunch of rock songs and included fallen angel, after I heard that pretty much played in on repeat and tried to find out more about these Iron Maiden fellas....

@@stephenramos2824 i remember on 2001 have a mix CD too, at that time i only heard Di'anno albums, my older Brother come to my and explain about the Comeback and introduce me the Bruce albums, very good times. The IM tracks on that CD was: The Mercenary, The Fallen Angel, Dreams Of Mirrors and The Whickerman. Up The Irons from Honduras!

I had my first job out of school (16 years old) in 1999-2000 and used to pass the time listening to Best of the Beast on MiniDisc...saw in the paper that Bruce had returned. Bought the album the next day.

Their first Rock in Rio performance in 1985 was the biggest show they've played. 2001 is definitely second though.

Yes they are but Bruce said once before that if they were ever nominated that he would not appear or accept it if they were inducted. Be interesting to see if that happens.

The lyrics are based on the novel Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. A great dystopia novel. Apparently, Huxley's novel impressed the band so much that they wrote the lyrics of the song, moreover, they named their album that way, the cover of which illustrates this brave new world of Aldous Huxley. A great song, a great novel. Thank you for your video and reaction.

Travis you mentioned Nico being the happiest drummer, he is a really nice guy . l saw him in Birmingham UK before a gig coming out of a pub. I was going to the show with my wife. I said to her that was Nico. shame I missed him I would of loved a picture. With that she ran off and came back with Iron Maiden's drummer who happily posed for a photo with me. Can you imagine). Two hours later I was watching the guys on stage. A great band with real respect for their fan's. Up the Irons...

great videos guys, iron maiden has at least 30 great songs, with great i mean this level or better, i don't think any other band or person has many more than 10 great songs (with great i mean that many people would like it, but that also depends on each person) keep doing iron maiden, it's great. thanks

Janick can shred all right, but comparing to Adrian and Dave his articulation needs improvement. I respect his ability to create great riffs and melodies (Clansman being one of his absolute best), yet loads of his fast solos are without a bigger clue or arrangement. This is one of not many solos that I love from Gers. Listen to his work on FOTD, X Factor or Virtual XI (and further) and compare them to the other two throughout the years. Janick is a really nice guy and great showman but his solos are often sloppy and played without a clean tone and that's probably because of Blackmore being a massive inspiration.

being as good as maiden is nigh impossible. there are only a handful of bands across different genres that are on the same caliber of creativity and consistency.
