NYC, this doesn't surprise me. I live in Sydney and when I first met this good mate of mine, he told me he went to Ashfield Boys High School. I said "that must be so cool going to the school of Angus and Malcolm"... he said "who?" I said "Angus and Malcolm Young of Accadacca"... he was still confused. I said "you know... AC/DC... the guitarist even wears that school's bloody school uniform on the stage"... He still had no idea what I was talking about. And no, he wasn't having me on. Apparently he only listens to RnB and by RnB, I ain't talking rhythm n blues. I never thought it was even legal to be in Australia without knowing who AC/DC were.

They were SO cool, and rowdy... we got Maiden stickers, patches, frisbees... not once did I think to get "Number of the Beast" autographed, or take any pictures. Hahaha... fu*k. As a result, he couldn't get his big guns into position and put our side to the sword. Speaking of swords, a fencing weapon might have more lightweight and thus easier to wield in battle. There is the key! I wish one of us had met that great savage of the tribe! People who are far from metal, do not imagine who they were interacting with. Excellent Bruce !! As always a great and very funny showman

It was my very first Iron Maiden listen. On tape too. I still consider it to be their best album, and not only for obvious nostalgic reasons. It's one of the very best live recordings I have ever heard.

I was nine. I had bought some Bon Jovi/Europe vinyl's but the family record player died,so I got a walkman and went tape hunting. Live after death's artwork caught my attention and the fact it was a double cassette for only a couple of quid more sealed the deal. After listening to that album all my future pocket monies were saved up to buy the previous albums!

I met Bruce in Victorville Ca. in the 1980s. He was at Victor Valley High school for a Fencing competition. My friends pointed him out saying "thats Bruce". I would never have believed he would be in a small town in the desert until he took his head protection off. He took the time to walk with myself and a few friends for about 30 minutes. The way he carried himself you would never have thought he was a rock star if you didnt know who he was. Very cool and down to earth. Oh and he was a damn good fencer too!

Hammersmith don't have top 3 songs from the Powerslave album. So it is very big minus vs live after death.

@Davideo Tapes True. In the 80's pop was king, while metal was considered more for "misfits". Today, it has much broader appeal.
