Glad to see metal is still alive in places like Mexico and Brazil. North America thinks it's dead, but metal is the only genre that still sells tons of cd's and vinyl. Kids download and steal! Ok, I guess, since none of the garbage most of them listen to is worth keeping, anyway. Arianna Grande? Seriously, man?!
I've seen Iron Maiden a few times in DF, Guadalajara, and Monterrey, and I've always been impressed by the array of bootleg merchandise. I actually flew from Canada to attend this show with in mind to buy some of the merandise! However, I couldn't find some good sports track jackets. I was also walking in circles looking for the damn box office. It literally took me an hour from velodromo station to get Inside the venue, while jumping puddles of water that transformed into a pool!
I'm Canadian too (but have lived here since 2006), where are you from? And yes, there is a lot of walking for shows at Foro Sol, whether you take the subway or even park right at the stadium. Let me know next time you're here!
Cool merchandise but still missing some of their vintage official Tour shirts like the Powerslave Tour shirt long sleeve with the list of cities Maiden performed in, The Somewhere On Tour 1987 wid the album cover in front and Tour dates and cities in back and my favorite shirt..i have two different ones, The Seventh Tour 1988 European Tour (Shirt is white), also the "Fear of the Dark" Tour shirt(also my favorite) still with Derreck's artwork and lastly "The Brave New World".Tour. shirt...US Tour...UP THE IRONS!!!!!
Ah, Montreal! I was born in Pointe Claire, lived in Pincourt for 10 years, then moved to Toronto. The altitude, haha...I never had a problem with it in DF, unless doing exercise, or something physical. I've climbed to the summit of several of the nearby volcanoes though (highest was 5,225 metres), and breathing is very tough up there. And funny you mention track jackets, as I did see someone selling them! I see them at every concert, always the same style (black with orange and white trim).
I'm from Montréal, and u? I have never seen a venue so complicated to enter and exit, a real maze. Unfortunately I missed Slayer's set because of that. It was less complicated when I last saw them in DF in 2001, there were much less in attendance then. Not sure if I'll return to DF. My 2nd trip there made me realise I suffer from altitude sickness. I hope they'll return to GDL or MTY which is where I buy my track jackets in 2009. But I do thank you for your help! Great vid u have!
Ha, I didn't see that! But I have seen a lot of Pumas merch crossed with other bands/brands. I actually bought a Pumas t-shirt with the face painted with Gene Simmons makeup at a game in CU in 2007.
I have one of those you showed 5:30 but I also bought (and still own) the original ones, they costed like 20 USD but who cares? They worth it (Both Ghost and Maiden's)
