Most bands, a lot that they influenced, simplified, and dumbed down their sound for radio and shorter attention spans. They became more and more progressive as time went on.
These guys are not human. I cannot believe the music and energy after all these years. I don't think any artist surpassed them. Piece of Mind turned me on to Metal when I was 11 years old and have been a metal fan ever since.

I'm going to catch them live in Mexico City this Wednesday night, so psyched...first time ever, been a fan since I was a kid in the early 80s, just never had a chance to see them, finally my dream is about to come true. Up the Irons!!!
Pro shot rock in rio and most festivals look great but they cannot mix Maiden audio at all for their broadcasts. Legacy tour was absolutely amazing when I seen them in Greensboro, NC. UP THE IRONS 🤘
The band members are in their 60's. Will they even be able to perform in 5 years from now? How about 10 years? The way we age is profound. It catches up to us, and will rob our abilities to do the basic thing someday. Think about Bruce's voice. You can tell he doesn't sound as sharp as he did 10+ years ago. Even when he beat cancer, he knew he wasn't gonna be performing at a high level forever, that there will come a time when age will make his once-majestic voice a thing of the past.

The audio quality of this compared to the show is atrocious. It's not the concert or the performance, it's the awful compression of this live feed. Listen to the way the vocals are too high in the mix, and the way the cymbals sound like they're underwater. It was NOT like this at the venue, as you can hear from fan filmed footage.
Streaming concerts always sounds bad. It's so bad that it even makes something sound out of tune while it was perfectly right on real life. Even fan recordings from camera or phones sounds better.
