Iron Maiden aren't a band known for ballads, this may really be the only one, but what an absolutely perfect song. I feel the loneliness in me turn cold and flow like rivers when I sing this song... Finally, they listen to that band, and they love it, and I find myself wondering, "What took so long??" I feel like I am on the other side of that equation when it comes to Iron Maiden. One of my best friends owns probably every album they have ever released, but for whatever reason, I just had never really listened to Iron Maiden that much before. I am finally going to do the right thing and I'm going to change that. This song has made me a convert to Iron Maiden. What a genuinely impressive voice in the verses of this song! I think I had heard a few songs here and there by Iron Maiden that just didn't really speak to me on a personal level, but this one most assuredly does. 8:05 -- Yes. Totally agree. Anyone can buy flowers and candles and champagne, and those things are still a very nice gesture; but how many people can express themselves the way talented musicians do through songs like this?
