Do you how hard it is to hit a moving target the size of a person, in the air, moving at an accelerated rate, with a tank no less? The tank died, but hats off to the gunner.

The reason why this feels so much "heavier" than Marvel films now is because this is the really the only scene where its just IRON MAN, not Tony in the Iron Man suit. Even his metallic voice where he says "He's all yours" isn't really used in future films.

The reason It feels heavier is because he hits like a truck, he punched a hole into an F-22 accidentally, and you can hear the little hidraulic sounds of the armor, which got Lost in future movies

Everything about this sequence of events was killer. Him putting on the suit. The way he landed. Taking bullets and taking down every cohort. Then yanking Bakaar through the wall and handing him over to the villagers. Even after being shot down and then coming out of the ground was just pure brilliance. Reminds the audience that he’s not utterly invincible but boy can he take a hit. And then all of this is followed up with the F-22 “Training Exercise”. Don’t get me wrong, I like parts of 2 and 3, but the OG was my favorite.

I remember this scene, always stood out to me as a kid. I grew up watching Batman, Spider, and Superman, all with their own “I don’t kill” oath, so I thought that’s what all superheroes did. Even in other movies or shows where the heroes don’t actually say those words, the writers and directors do everything they can to shy away from the fact that the bad guy just died. But here comes Iron Man, rolling up and just completely annihilating everyone with no remorse, while at the same time not being super edgy about it. He just did what he thought he needed to do. I think that’s one of the reasons this movie did so well. We’d never really seen a superhero like that before.

My only problem with this video is the title. This isn't just a "village in Afghanistan". This is Gulmira, Yinsen's home. The second he finds out about his weaponry in this town of all places, he leaves the charity event he's at to take care of this both personally and immediately. I think Batman's issue is more due to his trauma. He saw his parents get killed as a kid and so has had an aversion to the idea of killing someone ever since. This is only compounded by the idea that if he does take a life, he might snap and never stop. Bruce isn't exactly to ideal picture of mental health so no surprise there. In contrast, Iron-Man has no such hang ups. He's a weapons manufacturer so he's actually used to the idea of people dying to his weapons. What he couldn't stand was the idea of his weapons being used to hurt innocents, so when he sees terrorists doing exactly that, well... one can see the results above lol.

so is Isreal supposed to be the helpless villagers and palestine are the10 Rings Insurgent? Isreal is the one occupying Palestine, this is a fact, look it up. The same way the 10 Rings are occupying the villages here. Palestine also don't have an army or any real means of deffending themselves, the same as the villagers, while the 10 rings like Isreal have all the fire power. And the 10 rings like Isreal got their weapons from america. So compare all of this again and you'll find that especially in this scene Isreal are the 10 Rings. If an Iron Man existed he'd be with Palestine, because he'd always stand up for people who can't defend themselves like the vilagers here and like palestine

@SunlightGwyn

Not realistic enough. Any large impact in that suit should kill Tony. The suit is like an inch thick at best with no shock absorption. Even if the suit stays in one piece because the metal is really strong, all of that force will be passed on to the person inside. Physics 101 says Tony should be a human smoothie inside that suit after that tank impact. Batman from the Dark Knight is more realistic.

@@SunlightGwyn There is an amortisation layer, as we see when he puts on the suit. So the impact from tank bullet would be passedfrom metal chest to metal back. But it wouldn't save him from falling and hitting the ground, sudden stop will kill him.

I think it was just the big buildup to that moment that made it so good. You hear guns shooting, women and children crying out, enemies shouting and all of a sudden the roaring intensity of the incoming thrusters of the incoming suit and then BOOM, here I am, time for a little crap to hit the fan.

Fun Fact, Afghanistan is around 7700 miles from Malibu where Tony lived, and Mark 3 can fly at Mach 1 (770mph)~ it means it took him around 10 hours to fly to Afganistan, that's some true dedication.

Exactly. and on top of that, they took their TIME. The movie was in no hurry. There was time to write the story, there was time to make the sound effects, visuals effects, practical effects etc. When there is time, love and the desire to do something well, those things happen. Now it's all a fast food business, recordings on virtual screens (It is not a bad technology, it has potential. But it looks fake with bad direction), Horrible VFX (the artists don't have any time and they change things at the last minute), Bad stories (They approve of any basic script that uses the same formula instead of doing something right) etc...
