Hi, thanks for your comment. this was an exercise assigned to me during a sound design course I took many years ago. the aim was to replace all the sounds. I honestly don't even remember the original sounds.....or maybe I hadn't even listened to them 😅

Thank you😊🙏 I used a screwdriver with which I created various samples. Plus I used samples of door locks, from small doors to iron gates. Once you have a few samples, you can tweak them in duration and pitch to fit the scene. Finally, the more time you take to sound out every detail, the more real the scene will be.

@@AlessioSbarzella I've got a lot of the sounds down, I've just read another one of your comments.. i didn't even think about using white noise for the pressurized sounds. Thank you ill have a look at messing with some door locks and some switches

@@Holy_logic yes, white noise with filters it really works, cause you can create your own adsr for the noise

I simply used a handful of Mach samples (metal doors, click, drill) and then my imagination (and ableton fx). Using a few samples forces you to be creative, and the final sound is more organic.

Sometimes it's easier to create your own sounds than to search the right ones among hundreds of audio libraries

Can I borrow a small portion of the sound from this video into my own production? About 5 seconds worth?

i believed for the smaller pieces of metal or medium pieces of metal you use aluminum cans crushing and spoon and knife hitting together(taken from the iron man 3 behind the scenes sound effects)

Simply get a white noise sample, put a filter on it (try with bandpass and lowpass) and work on the frequency and Q automation, according to the animation.

Same here, a few samples filtered, stretched, mixed with daw automation, etc. Generally I made my own sound….unless you’ll find a “robot sounds” sample library, you have to use creativity+daw fx 🙂

Hi Keith, half of the sound fx in this video are the result of the layering of two or more samples of buttons, switches, various percussion instruments and chains. The other half of the sound was recorded by me in my studio (metal and plastic plates, cymbals beaten with different sticks, electric screwdriver). Sometimes i put some simple synth vst and/or white noise in one or more layer. The whole was then modified with pitch envelopes, eq, compressors and reverb in my daw. This is a little long job, but in the end it's worth it because in this way you can build your own original set of audio effects. To sum up, the secret is layering :))
