Yeah, I'm from Finland and it was relaesed 4.4. i was in the premiere ^^ It was one of the best movies EVER. Better than most of the Hollywood movies there is. I promise, You have to go and watch it.
I am amazed it was done on the budget it had, and it has Udo Kier. I am going to look more into the production of this movie. I would definitely see it when it comes to the States.
I loved the film. It was amazing. Saw it at a special preview presentation made by the director, Timo Vuorensola and producer Tero Kaukomaa of Finland. A great film, a great example for what it is: A revolutionary film for the art of crowdfunding a big budget film, and a revolutionary film for the independent film business and the way of making films that it actually gave birth to! Killer effects, not the best, but not medicore at all! I love this film, and I am proud to live in the high north!
Comment below says Blu Ray and DVD release in August. What, no theater time for the US??? I've been waiting months for this! I appreciate a Blu Ray release but I wanted to see it on the really BIG screen!
Because half of the show used LightWave3D and other half an autoplex product that shall remain nameless. Point is the, ILM uses the autoplex product and requires x10 if not x100 more people to do the same kind of work using that product. This greatly impacts the quality of the material in a negative fashion. Makes you wonder why people even use the autoplex product. Oh right, because of some 'pipeline' nonsense.
wow epic ! ty for sharing from "behind the scene" :) not many Hollywood movies shares reel or images behind the scenes..I guess we, europeans, are more open/honest than americans :)
en tiedä kerkeettekö näitä lukemaan, mutta teettekö sellasen "making of" dvdn tai jonkin muunlaisen missä kerrotte tarkemmin visuaalisista effekteistä yms?
this kind of green screen spill is not that hard to remove when shooting with a 4.4.4 color space... if you shot this with a 4.2.0 camera then it would be mission impossible, but i'm almost certain they shot this with a RAW 4.4.4 camera.
I just did and I am really sorry. I did not even see the comment about the UK release date, just assumed your reply was to the penultimate comment before your own, "only two more days in Germany". Is there any way to force RU-vid to show proper thread structure in comments?
IATSE, SAG, SSDC, WGC.. This however was more of a independent film and had little to no union backing and employed few people. There are many justified expenditures for film budgets in America. Most major movies employ small towns of people, this film was small. The film budget includes checks to the unions for tens of thousands of peoples pensions, retirement, and vacation funds. I don't have any idea what your deal is with a major movie stimulating a massive economy, when they still profit.
I don't know if the sequel is going to take place after Iron Sky, it might even be a whole new universe. But this time the nazis are coming from the underground.
Yet, it's still kind of lame and cheesy, but at the same time, it's awesome and amazing! Good job, Timo, Tero, Blind Spot, Energia (and Nordisk Film... I am Danish haha) this turned out great!
