This is my new open face brush cutter. The bobcat Brushcat has been retired. I sold it to a guy I know and it will live out its days doing some easy pasture mowing.
I will have a couple of videos showing the mower working. So far I like it. It is doing well but time will tell.

Svl75-2 high flow I have an MTL XCT high flow piston motor. It has same double plate carrier. It is known to be much more durable but if you are mulching you can definitely get cedar etc jammed in between at times and will throw off the balance. So carry tools to knock it out. I have used it a lot for my business in land clearing and the teeth do indeed help. Not for "mulching themselves" much but it grabs stuff off the ground that gets thrown around under the deck for more processing. Piston motor makes a world of difference. Recovery is almost instant and rarely bogs down. If you are going to stay in 3-4" material and down I think yours will impress you.

Yep sawzall is in the truck all the time. Second day out I have something stuck in there and the top plate is bulged just enough to hit the bottom protector ring on it. Im going to put a metal bar or pry bar in the truck. Ive had one like this in the past. The gear motor does really good. I didn't want the extra cost right now of the piston motor and nobody had it in stock around town. I was going to bolt the teeth on but no holes in the disc already. Id like to see if they do anything. If you think they help I may have to drill some holes.

You threw me off with this cutter being branded as an Ironcraft until you said it was CID manufactured. Just purchased the CID branded tree reaper with mulching teeth and the 17-27 gpm piston drive. I went down to their plant in Denton, NC to take a look prior to purchasing. They make some pretty good equipment. Haven't run it yet. Interesting that mine has those two deck top supports having covers that you mentioned would get a bunch of debris in there. Maybe CID saw your video. You are correct about a piece of steel is sandwiched between the two carrier plates where the mulching teeth are mounted. Thanks for posting.

I have the Rut mulcher with the 3 blades and love it. You will sell that brush cat after you see the difference in the 2. Good luck.

Ive already had one like this. The reason I had the brush cat is because for a few years I didn't have a tractor but still had maintenance properties. I needed something to mow uneven ground and not throw things out of it around streets and houses.

Assuming this is the Kubota 65? I’d be interested in getting the same attachment for mine.
