In warhammer lore, Irondrakes was designed especially to fight skaven (most in tight tunnels) - thats coll when they have same usefullnes in game :)

I found it hilarious that the irondrakes are in no way bothered by the rat summons

You know, actually irondrakes deal surprising amounts of damage even to armored troops. And you should understand that you cant judge irondrakes effectivness with kills - they damage the whole unit making killing them much easier other dawi troops. And im pretty sure you killed like third of your own slayers with those flames( Not the death they were hoping for.

I feel like the steam gyro's are underrated, I always liked to use them vs the undead as their AoE did wonders against fodder units

I’ve had someone use a Gob-lobber + irondrakes against Greenskins to double stack leadership debuffs and basically ruin any holding power. Had a unit of black orcs routed by a dwarf warrior and ranger from that

I think the Skaven player not taking plagueclaw catapaults was a big mistake. If he had them unloading onto the Grumbling Guard or the Warriors of Dragonfire Pass it would have been great. It also would have given Turin a bit of a dilemma to either focus the cancer bears (AKA Censor Bearers) or the plagueclaw catapault crew with the gyros. Just my thoughts.

Dwarfs are such a hard matchup for the skaven. No great way to deal with gyros and magic resistance on all troops makes their best armor piercing units that much weaker.

fun lore fact: in the final battle of karak eight peaks a fresh queek fought a tired belegar in a duel,queek dislodged belegar's shield and shattered his knee cap,but before dealing the final blow belegar took queeks sword and slammed it onto queeks shoulder,injuring it.But queek punctured the top of belegar's helmet with dwarf-gouger and killed him,but even in death belegars eyes never left queek and queek then took his head

Belegar is so good vs skaven. Feel that he's one of the only lords who can survive being mobbed by Qweek and two assassins at the same time . His defensive stats are so important against them. The one time I brought a normal dwarf lord he died in like 10 seconds against the skaven hitman squad . Also once the debuffs wear out , belegar can go to town on the skaven lords

Dang gyrocopters did some work. I rarely see them but against the skaven they seem to do work. Would you ever bring the bomber?

7:00 The Irondrakes are dumping napalm onto the skaven ranks, and the fact that a bunch of Clanrats A) were summoned behind them and B) are actively attacking them is treated like a complete afterthought. And because the Clanrats were summoned? It means I can imagine them fleeing the battlefield in droves just because they got so scared not only by the almost comical failure of their attack on the Irondrakes, but by the simple fact that the Irondrakes just ignored them while they roasted the skaven that actually were worth their attention.

Great game and great use of irondrakes.

Seems like the irondrakes (flamethrower version) need a better arc of fire, very high armor piercing and anti-infantry values (fire doesn't care about your armor) and a morale penalty to targets.

You know the drgonback slayers actually make enmies in melle weak to fire so geting them on some rat ogers and the shoting them with iron drakes will turn them to cinders in seconds

so good, screening your flamethrower troops with fire resistant front line. perfect for mitigating friendly fire. I'm shamelessly stealing this idea.

EMPIRE VS DARK ELVES so I'm doing a head to head mortal empire campaign against my buddy I'm empire and he's dark elves and I don't really have the most experience with the empire what would be some good builds to bring against the dark elves?

I am just wonder about the logic of CA and GW. BELEGAR WITH THIS HUGE HAMMER IS NOT AP!!!! Why?! They think this things won't break armor???? And what about bludgening damage? We don't count it as ap at all? It goes through the armor even better than two handed great swords or two handed swords, but we don't count it as ap. And why shields from "Viking era" are able to stop bullets? May be then all problems of knights in the Middle Ages with the gunpowder could be solved by Roman Scuutums? And why well trained Empire infantry mostly worse than northen maraduers? And what the hell is going with firethrowers in this game? Full plate armor can protect against napalm?

Why do skaven never bring Death Wind Globadiers? An AoE Armor Piercing Anti-Infantry ranged weapon with a arc that can go over your main line into theirs seems great against Dawi.

Poor skaven

Gyrocopters can do some scary damage to light units. Their ranged attacks also count as artillery, so anything they attack get the -10 Leadership from being hit by artillery. With Irondrakes or a losing combat, or just the sheer shock of hitting light units with high damage "artillery" AoE they can rout units fast, and spread that pretty quick. Only problem is they're useless against air and tend to get stuck in a pseudo knockback reaction animation against ranged fire.

flame cannon is also actually quite viable against goblins and skaven

Is it just me or are Skaven somewhat underpowered? Especially vs the Lizardmen and their staying power in the fight. But Skaven are in a situation where any buffs will make them incredibly overpowered as they are just on the edge of that dividing line! They are either a little underpowered, or WAY overpowered based on current mechanics. Anyone agree? BTW my experience is only from Singleplayer I haven't gotten into the meta that exsts in multiplayer strategies.

Love your videos! But sometimes you speak so fast I can’t understand what you are saying.

To me skaven have the best artillery for taking out enemy artillery in the warpfire cannon. Against dwarves I would want to bring one to take out their organ gun and other dangerous artillery....but I have always been extra cautious of artillery while other players don't mind just rushing in to battle and taking whatever shots they have to take rather than using artillery of their own.

I don’t get excited when I see dwarf videos anymore, they seem so overpowered in warhammer 2 because as a faction their weakness was lack of cavalry but the tormentor sword makes enemy cavalry obsolete and the dawi armour and leadership makes even the cheapest units a force to be reckoned with in melee

first off thanks for the video and report , but please for the sake of your own voice and the possebility of more battle commenteries build in some breakes where you can drink some water, a couple of times i had to look : did i set the replayspeed on 2x? and then noticed no he just speakes like a texan on the way to the weekend BBQ only more clearly :) speaking 30 min worth in just about 13min is quite the usefull skill proffessionally but will take a toll on the throat, in my case an "overcast" brought me a darth vader voice that i got only rid of after 2 weeks. ;)

Belegar is crappy lord. He is weak vs everything. Medium stats, medium health, no AP, no magik attack, can be knock out. Vs assassins you need magik attack - so go with Torghrim - he has much more health, better stats, magik attack, buffs, cant be knock out (absolutelly better pick). Also organ guns are not good in this match - they are good vs elite slower infantry or cavalry; if you shoot weak infantry this is not cost effective; vs rat ogres they are not cost effective (they cant take down a rat ogres but cost more - in this match you take half health of a rat ogre in overal); scavens are very fast and you can shoot less and in top of that organs have less range (if scaven bring arty your organs will be shut down). Not very good build from scaven - no doomwheels, no arty, no death globadiers...
