It was cool to always see crowds leveling up their blacksmithing at the great forge

god I remember first stepping into those gates and hearing this track begin rolling, that was fuckin iconic and fit the place so well. I miss those days.

I love Ironforges music, and that's coming from a horde player. And I remember a friend of mine (also a horde player) would sneak into ironforge, hang out in this abandonedish building with a terrace overlooking a populated area of the city and would take Aimed Shots at random players who were still pvp flagged. He managed to stay hidden for a long time before someone found him. He called himself "the orc of Ironforge."

When my friends had to log in my account just to take my character off the crowded Ironforge, just because my PC wasn't good enough for me to do it :D

Every once in a while I come back to these songs. Stoped playing long time ago, goosebumps everytime..

Music can evoke such feelings. The feelings almost hurt by the tidal wave of nostalgia washing over me just by hearing a few notes of this. This city was alive back in 2004/2005, everybody gathered there if you were Alliance.

2:45 - 3:20 My favorite part of Ironforge’s music right here. My favorite race might be Worgen, but the Dwarves will always have some of the best music in this game.

I think pre Cataclysm wow was the most memorable because it followed the events in Warcraft 3 closely.

My first WoW character was a dwarf. I never had the patience to level him past 30, but I'll always have nostalgia for Ironforge and its music. It complemented Dun Morogh perfectly, as it felt nice to go into a warm dwarven mountain fortress after some questing in Dun Morogh, which was, and still is, covered in snow all year around. The Kharanos inn served the same purpose, but on a smaller scale, which made it very cosy, especially during nighttime, when it was dark.

Ironfuyge is best city.... so much time spent at the bg masters there... GOOD TIMES!!

Ironforge THE place to show off your epics back when having epics were a reward unto its self.

Many a memory of hanging out here in Classic WoW while waiting for MC/BWL raids and Ony runs with my old guild. I always loved this music...perfectly fits the whole dwarven theme. Starts off small but then erupts into a grand eruption like how the hugeness of the city strikes you after you walk in, and then wandering about the caverns and seeing the technology and architecture...glorious.

First major city I ever visited, still gives me chills!

I remember as a Horde main I ran into Ironforge for the first time to raid it and my computer just couldn't handle it. All I heard was this music while I slowly lagged my way threw tons of dead bodies and nobody seemed to be interested in killing me or maybe someone was healing me. I eventually fell down the trench and had no clue where I was and wandered the chain-walkway hallways while lagging until the raid was over and I just hearthed out.

OMG, my heart is about to burst! This theme... god! I loved going to IF only to sit and listen to the music. This was my city :D

ahh good old ironforge...back then THE place to be^^ on my realm at least^^ the other cities were mostly used for fun or roleplaying*snickers but in IF online-live was buzzing^^ practicly every raid, dungeongroup or guild met there for fun-posing ( yes, back then an epic item WAS an EPIC-item!!), debriefing or plain waiting for the action to start^^

This is the only Ally city that I feel a connection to. Not coincidentally, my only Ally toons are Gnomes and Dwarves!

I remember going to the auction house here back in the day. It being suicide for my pc of course. I would lag so badly I had to literally look away from the ironforge bank, even then I would still lag rea- oh wow... seriously? I'm in that lava trench again!!!

There's something about standing in the great open spaces, warmed by the lava flows underneath the city, all the while knowing there's wintry cold weather outside. Many people going about their business and enjoying their time in this chapter of life. Always happy to revisit these moments.

Thos city is a home to me, since my two favorite races are Gnome and Dwarf. It always makes me think of culture.

Super amazing alliance city, the epicness is unmatched but it's so massive I used to get lost here!

As a lifelong horde player and loyalist, Ironforge has always been my second favorite city after Orgrimmar. The music, aesthetic and actual layout are some of the best in the game.

maybe this makes me sound like a total nerd, but this brings back so many good memories... from the open beta till the day i quit, years ago... playing wow my irl friends... our gear was shit, we had no skill at all, we were total noobs, but it was just so much FUN compared to my last months in this game... my first and definetly my last mmorpg...

Exactly. The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King were the best expansions that didn't fuck up. I swear, Cataclysm was desgined by some guy who never played vanilla.

@balin288 I remember when I made a dwarf I found a hill so I climbed it. I stopped and walked up very slowly after seeing such high level dwarfs on the path. I halted for a whole minute when I saw the door... Then I walked in, Widened my eyes at the sight of the high lv players and ran as fast as I could.

This is the biggest reason I'm tempted to main Alliance in Classic. I'm still probs gonna stick with Horde, but dang... Ironforge blows all our capitals out of the water.

The good old vanilla days, when Ironforge was the real Capital cause of BWL and MC. You were just wondering around and had a crush on a player in Tier 2 sets. Those were great days. :)

3:30 doing for the horde to kill all faction leaders and listening to this trying to beat the leader as horde and half the server is defending haha. Those memories will never be replaced

The issue isn't with Wrath the expansion as much as the players that started with Wrath (aka "Wrath-babies") that grew accustomed to face-rolling content to the point that they had no idea how to actually play their class. When all that was scaled back in Cata, many of them complained that it was too challenging and threatened to quit, so Blizzard has been trying to meet demand ever since with easier mechanics. Some aspects I like (the simplified talent tree), but I really miss BC.

@DemonHunter197 I can almost hear the sound of the tram, ring of the AH bell when leaving and an old skool dwarf asking me if i am interested in a pint...now i wish i had taken him up on that offer!

I would definitely come back to WoW if they offered servers loaded with Vanilla WoW on it. Obviously you'd have to do a new character, no transfers, no sharing of other servers, etc. but it would be amazing.
