Please let me know when this part will be replaced I think it's not a consumer piece Here in my country, we never replace the part until the car dies or is seriously injured under the car or in the event of an accident.

Last time I checked and correct me if I'm wrong, but those Ironman front shocks are the same length as the factory shocks yes? This would mean you can't lift the vehicle enough to justify installing a diff drop. You must keep a minimum 65-70mm droop from ride hight if you want it to all work properly. All you're doing is reducing the front ground clearance on this set-up.

Our 45795FE front shocks are 447mm extended, and 295mm compressed providing 152mm of travel for your reference.

Some folks will sacrifice down travel for lift by adding a lot of preload and/or clocking their torsion bars because they are fixated on fitting a certain tire size. At that point, the diff drop is a fix for poor cv axel angles, but a fix for a self-induced problem. We recommend focusing first on the proper amount of down travel so as to maintain ride quality and handling, then you don't need a diff drop. We've seen LC100's slammed and tubbed into a lowrider. We've seen them lifted on 22" wheels and mud-terrain tires with rubber bands for side walls. To each their own. But thankfully we have the freedom to choose what we want to do with our vehicles.

@@Ironman4x4America Yep, I appreciate what you're saying but if you're making a video about installing and advertising a diff drop with those shocks, then why not spend 30seconds explaining the pitfalls with this kit? Many people out there have no idea how to set the correct ride hight and droop. Longer shocks are needed to make the diff drop worth it.

@@SteveBurns80 This particular video is simply the how to install step by step so we did not get into the "why and when". Agree it is good info for folks to know when lifting their trucks. In every one of our shock boxes we include instructions that cover the gamut of shock and strut setup, including droop. Its a very helpful setup guide with a ton of great info that folks need to take heed to. I really appreciate your feedback and conversation, Its nice to have a good discourse back and forth! Please reach out if you ever have any other questions. Happy trails!

@@Ironman4x4America I prefer proper handling over lift height, I had my mechanic install the ironman 2 inch suspension lift, when I got the truck back the front end was almost 2 inches lower than the rear, I did not have a diff drop kit at the time, was this done by the mechanic to prevent damage to the cv axles? After I install the diff drop I should be able to raise the front to be level with the rear without risk of damage? In other words, is there any way the rear can be too high that I should NOT try to level it out, even with the front diff drop?

Is this necessary to jack the truck up to do this? Or can I do it with the wheels on the ground.
@Ironman4x4America

It can be done on the ground, just easier with the truck up on jack stands so you have more room to work.

I cheaped out on the diff drop after doing the 2 inch iron man lift and my CV boots didnt make it. Now instead of spending $200 im spending closer to $600. This is NOT something you can skip as part of a proper lift kit! unless you want your front end 2 inches lower than the rear.

I got a vibration going on when I hit 25 mph after I installed the IM lift. Anyone have any idea what it could be ?
