Some insights and how things are going, 10 days prior to the IRONMAN World Championships 2022 in St.George, Utah. Stay tuned for the next episodes! Video by Lino Thaesler. / pwnsy
people forget the frankfurt 2019 race. sebi was the last guy to seriously pressure Jan in an ironman. had a piece of glass in his foot and still dropped jan in a head to head marathon for quite a while. eventually the brutal heat caught up to him but it took everything for Jan to win that day
Indeed . In Nice 2019 where Gustav became 70.3 world champion Sebi had issues on the bike but ran the 2nd fastest split - faster than Blumenfelt, Brownlee Gomez and so on. A Sebastian in good shape is able to crush many of the favourites. I hope he is healthy and will show a big race. Would be so deserved after all the health issues in the last years.
@@onepunchbud1472 yeah i forgot how amazing his run was that day. People sleeping on sebis run. 2019 kona he had fastest run of the contenders chase group off the bike too.
@@jamesd5241 yeah... From 2014 / 2015 Sebi always had issues with his heel and had low amount of running volume. Even then he had Kona podiums which showed how deep he can dig. It looks like things got better with his"new" trainer and things went better 2019 with a few drawbacks afterwards. But people really cannot underestimate how strong Sebastian is when he can do his proper training. I still remember his earlier days, he always was a super strong runner, even after a brutal bike performance! A thing not many guys are able to do, maybe a hundful of people. If he is in good shape - and since he really seems to be happy in this video, i think he is - he is a serious contender and podium is in reach. In case the others f up and make some mistakes by pushing too hard maybe even more. And hey - since everyone is thinking the Norwegians and Sam/Lionel will fight for the win, he can be relaxed and surprise some people who forgot what a machine he actually is. I am very hyped for the race. 😄 PS: good thing is - he already is a tripple world champ (1x LD, 2x MD), so no matter the result of this Race, he will be always rembered as one of the best. A good result would be a bonus and people would be happy for him. He deserves a great goodbye imo
Love it! Sebi in such a great mood! Full of joy and so relaxed! All the best for the final prep! Thanks for sharing! And even thanks to pwnsy - keep on catching the great moments of a great champ! 😊😊😊✌
No matter how this race goes, or how Kona goes, I salute your "final championship" efforts. I have huge respect for you Sebastian. Nice to see your relaxed atmosphere.
Hey Sebi, ich fand dich noch nie sympathischer und entspannter als in diesem Video. Man sieht dir richtig die Freude an, dort zu sein. Drück dir ganz fest die Daumen! Grüße aus der Heimat, Timo
Sebi!!! I had the pleasure of being on course with you at 70.3 world champs in Mont a Tremblant - even got a pic 😏. I hope you crush it out there! Old dogs still have some bark 👊👊
Sebi its great to see you so seemingly happy. I always thought the last few world champs you looked so serious and stressed out pre race, so even when you did very well like in Nice 70.2 WC and Kona 2019 you seemed disappointed. I think you will surprise a lot of people on race day! id love to see it
Hi Sebastian. Good luck! Question. What is the adapter you use for the bottlecase at the back of the saddle? The bidonholder is from syncros, but could't find the adapter on their website. Or is that an adapter from Scott? Thanks
It makes you wonder if it is Sebastian Kienle or Chuck Norris in disguise when you see the man pull out the vegetables from the oven with his bare hands. Good luck, Sebi!
Standing in the hall of fame And the world's gonna know your name 'Cause you burn with the brightest flame And the world's gonna know your name And you'll be on the walls of the hall of fame"
Aaah. Beautiful scenery. Happy to see Sebi is in a good place. The main thing I hope for him is a good, injury free race and some memories that he can share with his kids some day.
This race is going to be epic. Thank you for coming out to race here in Utah. This is “The Big League’s”. I am personally excited to see how this plays out this is tough course. I wish you all the best, excited to see you fly by on bike aid station 8.
How do you use the whoop strap? What are the most insightful features and in what way do you adapt your training according to the data you get from it?
I think he shouldn't. No need to destroy yourself mentaly. I feel like the positive energy he has right now comes from the fact of looking forward to retirement and giving his all in the last races. He looked kinda depressed for the last years and in germany we are just happy to finally see him smiling again :)
Super Sebi - Respekt ! Leider kuschen die beiden anderen dt. Kollegen (der Lange und der Dünne) und haben wohl die Hosen voll von der schwierigen Radstrecke !!
