They will have a portal in IRS.gov.coronavirus People can go in there when it fires up and enter any account info to have their check deposited to. It is not up quite yet to my knowledge.
SSI is not the same as social security benefits. Maybe as late as April 20th but not sure if it's sent. Still deciding on when it's deposited. THIS SUCKS sucks. Why can't it be sooner

Hi, i filed my taxes last week for 2019 and i owe money per usual.. turbotax gave me the option to provide my bank account info and have them take out the money at a later time.. so i filed and the IRS accepted my return.. so that means i should be getting the stimulus check direct deposited into my account because i did provide my account info in turbotax? i know i may sound stupid but this is all very confusing lol

Well this has been going on since back in August of 2023 every week and all talk and no action. I am 71 years old and live in a 32 foot 1985 travel trl that need s a lot of repair and upgrade just to hold heat and AC and it would be nice if i could buy more food to get by on. So where is the real help for us seniors???

Mary Martin if you got your tax return on that prepaid card you should receive it from there I assume , because that would be the information the IRS has on file for you.

I'm separated from my husband and we live separate addresses. I have filed separately for a number of yrs. My husband is retired on social security. I will get a separate stimulus payment wont I. Our combined income is well under 75000.

Good morning i have a question i have 3 kids but i only fill the taxe 2019 with 2 kids and my brother fill his taxe 2019 with my other kid. If I worked Jan 1st to beginning of September in 2019 and filed my 2019 taxes receiveing hard copy check. BUT... Then was awarded SSI at the end of September of 2019and then opened bank account to route SSI funds into. BUT income tax I didn't have direct deposit. Jst for the SSI. No the SSI and SSDI receivers will get their check loaded on the card the SS administration puts their regular monthly payment on. There's no need to do a thing.

Hi my wife and I have gone thru H&R block for almost 30 years now and the last few our refund has been put on the H&R block Emerald Card, automatically. Will the IRS do the stimulus the same? Meaning putting the stimulus on the h&r block Emerald card ? Thank you
hey matt amick, i actually do the same thing with h&r block but instead of the emerald card i use the federal refund transfer option which means they send the return to a holding account with amos bank and after all fees and dues are calculated out they send it to my account. i called h&r block and asked my cpa and she said they dont know how the government is gonna handle this case for people who used this option. The government is obviously aware that people use the emerald card and federal refund transfer option so my cpa told me to wait for more information to be available and if i was really concerned to call the irs hotline and let them know your situation. i believe you can also give them your routing number so they can plug it into their data system.

If there's an account and routing number listed then it should be deposited into that acct. I would recommend calling the IRS to update your banking info. Theres a website also coming soon that will allow you to update it there. They just haven't gotten that far yet

Mark Arledge, your s.s. ck is sent according to when your birthday is, my bd date 4/22, so I get my ck. the 4 th Wednesday of every mo., it has nothing to do with your s.s. number.
