There are actually 5 different Is-2s in the game: standard ruski Is, chinese Is-2, Ruski premium Is-2 (special camo), the second ruski premium Is-2M (modernized Is, looks slightly different), and now the shielded variant. (You could also count the double barreled boi) Edit: I forgot about the object 244 (tier 6 with the 85 mm gun), and you could count the kv-122. So there are actually 8 if you count them all

@@hoteleight4217 On the Asia server I've been seeing bots pull moves that I've normally seen from only good players. To the point I've been having to double check their names (this is standard bots up to tier 5 - some still break though).

Lars.M honestly, I think the Chinese IS-2 is the best of the bunch. The 250 pen HEAT is way better than 217 APCR in today's meta when it comes to punching through corridors.

@@empire-classfirenationbatt2691 It's probably more due to the spacing than anything else. Due to how far the plates are from the hull, it's hard for HE or HEAT to reach all the way to the armor before it detonates early.

@@empire-classfirenationbatt2691 Those mesh shields, even as jerry rigged as they look, do infact work. They put those all over APC's and such in Iraq as it would cause the RPG's warhead to detonate on the rebar, instead of after it hit the vehicle. This would cause it to slow down a bit in the air it has to pass before it actually hit the armor, severely reducing the RPG's ability to penetrate.

I don't think it's even possible. 12k damage, 23 kills, 6k assist damage and 4k bounced only gets you 21 points. When you need 12000 points. It's just not possible.

IS variants: Regular IS- best mobility among all, fair armor and gun statistics (gift for free players) Chinese IS2- great HEAT IS2 Berlin- nothing but a good looking camo KV122- best aiming time, second best mobility(just a bit worse than IS) but sacrifice reload and armor (both worst among all) TERRIBLE WAY to spend your money! IS 2m- improve hull side, improve gun handling IS 2S- improve HEAT protection, bit better gun accuracy while moving, worst mobility, and armor is not much better standing for AP and Apcr

@@heavydestroyer246 He meant matches where all opponents are of your current tanks tier or lower. If you are in a tier 2/3 match and your tank is a tier 3 tank you are in a top tier matchup for your tank, whilst the tier 2 players aren't.

my graphics card cant even run 1080p at 60 fps..... will do 30 fps fine its an OLD AMD 6970 from 2011..... was AMDs last "top dog" card and i hate nvidias bussness practices so much..... id rather wait to see if a 5900xt ever release.... or whatever is next if that sucks.... guess ill go nvidia AKA.... but a mid range core with a high end name and price tag

Well, that's how development works IRL, incremental improvements most of the time and a revolution every now and then. Just look at how many variants of Panzer III and IV there were IRL. The Ausf. J you might have read about in game stands for "Ausführung J", which can be translated to variant J. And yes, they started with A IRL and didn't skip a letter. And that's before we even start taking about versions where they would take the hull of a Panzer III or IV and build tank destroyers, utility vehicles and other radically different types on top of it.

tier 8 and tier 9 will go through these tanks without issue, that's what I don't like about these IS tanks, horrible gun handling so only works for mediums or tier 5-6-7 heavies, and armor only works in tier 7 and under

Hitting the screen itself *should* allow splash damage anyway, since it's only 0.5 meters from the hull. Hitting it from underneath, tho, means that the explosion is moving away from the target, not toward it.

currently at stage 2 of this event players here in ASIA are way too aggressive, too careful or stupid theres this 3 players thought they can outrun the timer in the red zone and used it as a shortcut, i saw them 3 dying

One of my little golden rules is that when the base aim time is over 3 seconds it always gets the gld as I can cope with blindness better than having a gun that constantly struggles especially when there is ridiculously long exposure times involved when the russian number generator is making for toxic play.

The spaced armour of the IS2 S actually makes it worse against AP and APCR. Because of the 2 plates the incoming shell will normalize twice instead of once, meaning the shell will have a significantly better chance of penetrating.

The distance of the spaced armour to the main armour makes a big difference with HEAT shells since they lose pen for the distance they travel after initial contact
