On the whole, segment by segment, SNL has always been hit or miss. But there's always gold in them thar hills. You just have to sit thru some crap to find it.
Weekend update is as good and sometimes better than when Norm did it. Outside of that their presidential impressions are still great (Jim Gaffigan as Walz was an inspired choice, Jim Carey as Biden, and I am convinced Maya Rudolph is actually the one running for president). But yeah no reason to watch it otherwise. This sketch wasnt even that funny, a little clever but not that funny.
Perspective can be blurry when all original thoughts have been penetrated and exposed. We find ourselves nostalgic for old and the new is left wanting. A purloined idea or plot is all this day has to offer. Barry Botswick as Washington was sublime as not to be so violent, a solid narrative and you can remember Barry’s transistion from mostly dry characters to a role of an American icon. True thought provoking humor has ceased
No. Its not funny again. Also taking a horizontal show and making a vertical video to put on a horizontal website is annoying. Not a surprise people like you would also believe SNL is funny.
These are actually really low IQ jokes. There's good reasons for the different units of measurement. If you research the history of science and engineering, it makes sense. You don't mention Kelvin since you don't expect much from your audience.
for science you would use the metric system ( as is used all over the world) - yes the kelvin is the reference in Science but the C are also a reference...
I'm not their biggest fans either but I'm glad they exist to push back against the left, much like how Howard stern pushes against the old right as it was. I can't stand Howard, and never liked him, but people need reminded of the power or popular opinion because there is always some fringe group trying to make us all think their way and sometimes by force
